Me and my partner came in because we wanted to try something new, well at the door we were told they were out of a few items.(no big deal) but we sat down and we were surprised at the menu, but we ordered loaded steak fry's( they were hot when they got to the table, we bit into them and it tasted like bacon bits not steak, well we waited 10 more minutes to get my food. We got my river dawg and fry’s. The fry’s were hot and fresh river dawg was stone cold, I took 2 bites and didn’t finish my food. And it took another 25 minutes to get our ticket.

I won’t be back again. On request of friends we went as a group in October 2025. It’s been an inexcusable experience. Ignored at front for over 20 minutes. 2 hour wait on food. Manager argues that we can’t tell time and they are short staffed. Short staffed should have been mentioned at the beginning or at order. Food trickled out eventually but mostly cold.
I get it, the manager tried salvage and damage control at the end. Too little too late.

Took two hours to get our food which was cold and dry and bland. The waitress was hardly seen and the manager argued about our wait time and had a horrible attitude. Ruined what could have been a lovely birthday dinner.

What a dump. Sat down at the bar and put my phone in a bunch of barbecue sauce then had to wait a while to be served. Food options didn’t look good so I left and got a great steak at Texas roadhouse

We came in last Friday a little before 5 pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy. There were about 7–8 people at the bar and no one else dining. We sat at a booth, and the server (who also seemed to be the bartender) came over about 2 minutes later. We ordered a sweet tea and two waters. It took 12 minutes to get the drinks, and a young girl, who may not have even worked there brought them out. She carried the glasses against her body, which is a health/safety concern and brought the wrong order.
We waited another 15 minutes with no one coming to take our food order. At that point, my husband and son went to the car. I went up to the bar to pay, where I waited another 5 minutes before catching the server as she headed to the back. She said she was “about to come over,” but by then it was too late, my family had given up waiting.
We left and went to Texas Roadhouse, which was packed, yet we were seated in 3 minutes and had food within 10. I have a feeling we would still have been waiting at Whiskey River for our food. Since their parking lot is usually full, I can only imagine how long the wait would be on a busy night. Unfortunately, for that reason, we won’t be back.

The salsa lessons on Sunday are great! but the service at the bar is very slow and they will charge you for more drinks than you ordered
Never go when it’s busy. Keeping up seems to be quite a task.

I recently visited Whiskey River Bad at 1703 Gornto Rd, in Valdosta, GA. I had a real nice experience go to this place for my first place. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted and my drink order taken. It was taco Tuesday and I placed an order for a few tacos. I also got a side of Mac. The food was real good. And good bartender conversation. A nice place.

All you can eat wings were good and the singer Marsè was the best performer I’ve seen. I hope they can get him to perform on a regular. I’ll return if he returns.

We went as a large group for dinner before line dancing there, traveling from nearly an hour away. I hate to say it was very difficult to get servers' attention. Food was alright once it arrived. Waitstaff misinformed us that no requests could be made for line dance songs, and we nearly left after waiting through several songs we did not recognize. Fortunately we did in fact get to eventually request songs and finally got to dance.

I had low expectations based on some reviews, but was pleasantly surprised! The food was definitely a little pricey, but I found it to be flavorful and cooked perfectly! One of our party had the shrimp and grits entree and the other the chicken tenders (probably one of the least expensive entrees on the menu). Both were excellent! We went on an evening where karaoke was beinf offered, and while I admit it made it difficult to hear table conversation it drowned out the sound of Fox Politics on the tube. Will definitely be back!
