El Cotija Mexican Restaurant

Worst Mexican meal ever! First the chunky Guacamole had almost no Avocados. Next, my husband's California burrito was cold when he got it. No cheese, dry and believe it or not had French fries in it! Disgusting! He sent it back and when it was served it was luke warm at best. I ordered the chimichsngas and asked for carnitas instead of steak and paid an up charge. The meat had absolutely no seasoning. My rice was not even warm. We addressed this with the manager and she seemed aloof to our concerns. She said the fries were just their take on the California burrito. I myself am Mexican and would have had a better meal at Taco Bell. It would have been nice to give even a discount but none was offered. I would give this Zero stars. Horrible!

I SPECIFICALLY ordered a house special with steak and chicken only, no shrimp (due to my girlfriend’s food allergy). They got the order wrong and did chicken and shrimp only. They apologized for the mistake. I told them it was okay, I’d pay for that one and eat it but I need the original order replaced for her. The manager takes the order back to make sure it was correct…trusting the it was correct, I unfortunately didn’t check the food before I left. Got home and the order was still wrong. This time, they did chicken only… I called and the manager says, oh I’m sorry but he didn’t ring you up for the “Texas house special”…the one you were charged for only has the chicken and shrimp option… Bruh.???‍♂️ After a slight back and forth about it, I told her to have a good night and got off the phone. We eat what we had and to make matters worse, the food was bland and no seasoning……..??‍♂️ The only reason I didn’t give them one star is because they were rude.. But food and service were terrible for our first and last experience.

I ate later in the day on a Sunday but the food was way overcooked. I got the Texas house special. The rice was mushy, shrimp beef and chicken were like chewing gum. Even the tortillas I ordered were like rubber.

Delicious Mexican food at a good price. Large bar with lots of seats and a huge fireplace in the dining room. Huge outside patio dining area.

Great for happy hour on a Friday after golfing.

Food was almost inedible. I ordered a cheese enchilada and chili relljeno with rice. Explained I wanted no meat. Food came out with beef stuffed relljeno. Was sent back and came out with an enchilada that wasn't cooked. There was shredded cheese inside that hadn't been warmed. When I cut into it, I was reminded of larva

Came here for a joint birthday party.. this place never disappoints. You know exactly what you're getting because it's the same it's been for years and years very nice staff.
