well, after today, March 31st, getting served by the lady's granddaughter at fincher's downtown Houston road, I noticed that the amount of fries and stew that was seemed to be cut back since last time we were there. about 3 weeks ago. we were pretty much regulars. we would come in every 2 or 3 weeks and get the large portion of the barbecue combo. but I noticed y'all get a little skimpy so I think we're going to explore other places. cannot recommend this place anymore. sorry guys. been eating here since 1960.

This place has gone downhill. For the price Georgia Bob's is the Best choice for value, flavor and cleanliness.

I have never had anything negative to say about this location... I have ate here several times and they are on top of their game at this location. Great flavor with all the food and always friendly.
To the employees at this location, Thank you for getting it right 100% of the time.

Parking lot and lobby were clean. Customer service was great. The food was awful. I'm from the Midwest where BBQ means Seasoning, Smoke, and Great Sauce. This is BOILED-B-Q. I ordered the Brisket Plate and it was nothing but boiled beef. It was the cut with a lot of fat that didn't render. No seasonings from a dry rub or smoke. They were out of Okra so I opted for potato salad. Either I'm biased because I cook at Home and don't trust anyone else's potato salad, but Fincher's was nasty! It was like a vinegar potato mash. Might as well had put raisins in it. The baked beans tasted like they were straight out of a can and not jazzed up at all. It's like Boiled-B-Q for a nursing home where the food is bland on purpose because of other's dietary restrictions. The cashier was kind and refunded without hesitation. Wouldn't return because it's not for me, but loved by many.

Really good bbq. I got the bbq dinner plate, enough bbq for 2 sandwiches and it came with 3 sides. Definitely will be putting this in the weekly worklunch rotation.

I come here for the pork chop plate. I don't know of any other restaurant that serves a bigger and better pork chop than the one at Finchers BBQ.

I love BBQ, but when a place give you their BBQ, and it is already sauced, it concerns me. I want to taste the meat... not what your trying to hide. Allow your customers to sauce their meals to where they like it.
