Food was on point. Thank you for feeding me while I’m stationed in GA.

The server I dealt with tonight was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! She never smiled and her tone was crap! I was questioning her on being charged for a side that I never was charged for before. The manager on duty was very nice and explained it to me. The server rudely stated “ I’m just doing what my manager told me “ . I love this place and spend a lot of money there. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER GO BACK!!! Oh and I did still tip, I know the kitchen works hard!

Manager and staff are RUDE to customers and have the audacity to expect a tip. It wasn’t given that day! I haven’t/ will not return.

A Meat-and-Two cafeteria style dining. Small eating area. Good food.

I’ve tried the Fort Valley location a few times and they are hit or miss. They are improving, but as I said hit or miss. So, I decided to try the Russell location because I saw they had dressing. Maybe it was a miss day because I can only give it one star. The turkey wings and baked pork chops were soggy on the bottom, but super dry on top to the point I couldn’t even bite them. They were also very bland. The peppers and onions were bland as well and crunchy. I would recommend lining the pan with them and cooking the pork chops on top instead of separately. The fried green tomato was okay. It needed a pinch of salt…not much but a tad. But the tomato itself was juicy. The dressing was slightly bland, but the texture was good. I think it had chicken in it, which was a little tough. It needed a little more seasoning or herbs to enhance the flavor. The Mac and cheese was lacking cheese and slightly overcooked. It too, lacked seasoning. I could taste the pepper, but it needed more cheese and seasoning. The heat lamp may have dried the meats out on their tops. I think it could be better with a little enhancement. The customer service of the employees at both establishments are always great though.

I've visited here around 10 times so far and each experience has rocked my world. The staff here always makes me feel right at home and is patient with each customer as we ogle at all the great options to customize a plate. I can tell each dish is crafted with love from a recipe that has withstood the test of time. They have the best dagum collard greens. Fried pork chop is off the chain. Catfish is slammin. All the sides taste like they want to be the star of the plate. The menu rotates every day and it's all special.

Choices were good, no disappointment, as usual. Sometimes, I do have to taste before I huy.

Dietary restrictions: They gotcha.

Kid-friendliness: It's small but possible. It used to be a Krystal's there.

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure, but I will check and update.

The ladies at Fried Green Tomatoes have created a place to get great southern cuisine that tastes just like grandma used to make.

Pros: The food and customer service are great! I couldn’t find anything on the menu I didn’t enjoy. Service was always with a smile and joyful in every way. While the restaurant itself is a little dated (patina is what I call it), it also felt like what a small family restaurant should feel like… welcoming and comfortable. The food service preparation areas were clean and well maintained.

Cons: I don’t live close enough to Fried Green Tomatoes to frequent this establishment.

Bottom line… Fried Green Tomatoes is a fantastic place to eat some good, southern food at reasonable prices. You won’t be disappointed!

My apologies for not being specific with a plate. As soon as my family and I sat down after a long drive, we started to eat. The pictures show macaroni and cheese, cabbages, fried green tomatoes 🍅, fried wings, baked chicken, and chicken 🐔 livers. I also enjoyed the peach cobbler not shown. The ladies are very courteous, and the portions are good.

Vegetarian options: Cabbages and sweet potatoes, to name a few.

Parking: The parking lot is of a reasonable size. Easily accommodating a large crowd.
