My Grandma's Empanadas

This restaurant fries empanadas in advance and leaves them in a warmer until ordered. So the empanadas do not necessarily always taste fresh. Sometimes, they taste like they’ve been warmed. In past visits, I have also heard the restaurant owner belittle, yell, argue, and mistreat employees. Aside from this, Rikki Waite, the restaurant’s owner, openly supports Trump on Facebook. Think about how this is a restaurant founded on another country’s food and culture, with family members being immigrants, yet makes public statements. All for people having their own opinions, but it comes off weird and embarrassing when the restaurant is founded on a latino culture. She has since deleted a Facebook comment telling someone to leave the country if they are unhappy.. again, weird for someone who’s family left their home country… contributing to her freedom for Rikki as a latina woman to own her own restaurant.

The service is always outstanding. The ladies are always very welcoming as soon as you walk in. Andrea and Rikki are amazing!!!

We are doing some work nearby, and I decided to stop in for a pork empanada. Teo okder ladies were hand making them benind the counter and obviously know what they are doing. I told the lady who took my order it was my first time there, and I was working nearby. She surprised me with a sweet empanada. I scarfed down the pork one in 2 shakes. With the sauce, it was excellent. Then, I did take a pic of the sweet one before wolfing it down. It was so good! I will be in the area again soon and look forward to coming back.

Parking: Parking is usually not a problem. There is tons of on street parking nearby, as well.

Took another family and mine to eat here for the first time. Some of the best empanadas I have ever eaten. We tried most of the menu. Each one was fresh and delicious and flavorful. Highly recommend trying everything. Soooo goood! Wish we had one where we live. Amazing food! Definitely save room for their dessert Empanadas.

Outstanding! If you haven’t been, get there! Truly a success story! Delicious! I remember when she began years ago, I’m so proud of what she’s built! Wishing y’all success always!

Passing through town and these were absolutely DIVINE! The cheese and guava were hands down our favorite! Will be going back the second we drive even remotely close! Fun atmosphere and wish the hours were longer.

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Their empanadas are SO GOOD. I usually go a couple times a month.
