We visited on a Sunday for lunch b/c of the reviews here and we were traveling through the area. We had the fried chicken and some sides. Overall, it was very good home-cooking style food. Cafeteria restaurant-- you get a platter n silverware and go through the line. Friendly folks!

The service was good, friendly server. However, the food was cold when we arrived at 11:30. Also, the sneeze guard looked old. Sorry about this review, but if someone had posted about these issues we would not have eaten there.

Atmosphere does not matter!!! Breakfast has a menu. Lunch is Buffett but not self serve, which is good in my book. The staff is like a bunch of family and dining is like what use to be Sunday after church. Every huntin season I try to make it here at least once. Food is wonderful. It’s cooked at the resturant, nothing is cooked the day before and heated up. Where ever you are, it’s worth the drive. Price’s are not jacked up so high that you debate weather or not to stop.

This restaurant is a local favorite. It happened to be in the right place for our large group (about 30 people) to stop by for lunch while on a tour - they accommodated us in a side room with no problem at all! The setup is for counter service - the food is all arranged like a buffet behind the counter, and you tell them what to dish up. I enjoyed my fried chicken with many nice side dishes.
