I am addicted to shachime. Leo the chef is the best! You will not find a better Shuchi/Shachime eatery in the Athens area. Great service, friendly folks, and the best meal options! 5 Star all the way!

We used to love this restaurant until my 5 year old and I got terrible, debilitating food poisoning. When we contacted the restaurant they simply told us it wasn’t their fault. Sadly we won’t be returning.

We have been twice in the last week and the food was amazing. Definitely one of the best filets I've had at a Japanese restaurant. One dinner meal is enough to feed 2-3 people!

Just an honest review regarding Hibachi Restaurants in general. Clearly this is the only option in Watkinsville which is disappointing. Second time ordering here and I had the same experience both times. No welcome at the door. It's a seat your self place. For a place that cooks it all back of house with no cooking show experience, the menu is still priced high but consistent with Watkinsville area restaurants. It's grilled meat with grilled veggies and RICE. The cheapest food cost ever. $18+ tio seems hight for walhat got.

I live close but, have eaten sushi all over Athens and this by far is the best. I have been a lover of the Volcano roll for many years and this place does it right. Other places in Athens don't serve it right. Their thai chili roll is really good as well. I've had their hibachi which the steak is tender. All around just good!

I find the cost of the tofu upcharge a little expensive but the food is very good so I will return regardless. Better than other Japanese options in the area

Multiple cockroaches on the wall playing with each other, watched two staff members look right at them and do absolutely nothing about it.

I ordered the snow white and a tea. I was very disappointed. First with the quality and then with the quantity. Instead of fresh sushi it tasted like 3 day old sushi with chili sauce. This meal provided 8 pieces and I honestly think publix next door could have done a better job and cost less. The restaurant was nice looking and we were seated quickly but had a long wait time for my husband and son's hibachi (fyi the kids menu is not actually a kids menu) it was my family's first time eating here and will absolutely be our last. After $70 and stomach aches you couldn't pay us to return. We absolutely love sushi and have tried several different places but I will not be recommending this one.

Food was okay. The “fried rice” was really dry and no fried rice flavor. I was better off going to an actual hibachi where they cook in front of you. I didn’t get greeted by the owners but everyone else that came in did. All I did was get stared by them. My waitress was nice btw. Advice for them is to make bigger portions the dinner portion seemed like a lunch portion. Wasn’t big at all. Won’t be returning.

Onion soup was ok, salad was ok but super small. Sushi did not taste fresh and was even on the warm side. My scallop hibachi was a plate consisting of about 2 bucks worth of vegetables and idk maybe 6 or 8 scallops for 24 dollars. I'll never go back!! Overpriced mediocre food. My sweet tea was the best part of my whole ordering experience

Thank you for letting us always have a positive dining experience while ordering boatloads of appetizers and random other foods on the menu! I am always surprised by the price at the end of the meal expecting to pay double. The food is absolutely amazing.
