Food was so good unfortunately the staff was overwhelmed and doing too much at once. Made for extremely long wait times even in the Middle of ordering (took 15 minutes to order 4 meals because the hostess kept leaving to do other things). Then to top it off, after finally ordering and receiving our order we noticed we were sitting next to an entire colony of the German cockroaches (known for being around grime and filth). The concerns were brought to an employee to which the response was “sorry we’ve been infested and the extermination process made them migrate to front of house”. It’s a shame that we will not be going back because the food is good.

Consistently delicious food here. I can't recall a time I was unsatisfied, whether it was a to-go or dine in. I highly recommend the fish sandwich, but you can't really go wrong with any menu item. My family and I love this place; it is our favorite place to eat in Watkinsville.

Love this place! We are In the process of moving to Watkinsville and discovered this gem! Love the burgers and fries, shrimp, and salads. Everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. Definitely try the cheesecake and peanut brittle….. so yummy! We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Despite the somewhat humble menu, Traveling Hobo offers food to write home about! Everything is well prepared and absolutely delicious!This visit I treat the Reuben burger, a perfectly cooked burger patty smothered in corned beef, Swiss cheese and tangy thousand island dressing served on a grilled bun. The accompanying tater tots were crispy and piping hot. You could see them steaming. Now that's fresh!The service at the Traveling Hobo was friendly and efficient. I appreciated the table service and attentive wait staff.The atmosphere is part diner, part home and the dining area was well maintained.I highly recommend a visit to the Traveling Hobo. I know I'm going back. And I understand that they have cheesecake Tuesdays. Sounds intriguing!
