We had not been to this restaurant in a couple of years and we wanted to try it out again. Arrived about 30 minutes prior to closing time. Customers were still at tables. The waiter took our drink orders and brought the drinks along with the menus. She came back about 5 minutes later and took our orders.
She returned and looked mortified as she told us that they had already closed the kitchen! I felt sorry for this young worker.
We always try to shop local and keep money in our communities.
Lesson learned: We don’t need their (Lakeview) services, but they might need ours. No second chance for us here.

The buffet looked like a feed trough for pigs so I decided to order a burger. After watching my 2 coworkers eat 2 plates, we received our bill and my burger still hasn’t made it to our table yet so I opted not to eat. The waitress reached in her purse and gave me $3 to refund my drink at the register so I felt obligated to go back to my table and leave it as a tip. These gals are the best thing this place has to offer. Please give them a raise

Do not eat here!!! Everyone got food poison within 30 minutes of eating. The shrimp tasted funny and the Philly cheese steak tasted spoiled. The waitresses didn't even care. We were told the manager couldn't be reached. Horrible service

It was comfortable, clean and the Fried Green Tomatoes were the best I have ever had. First time I've had grilled catfish so I can't compare it to any I've had before but the grilled green beans and sweet potato fries were excellent! Loved the Lakeview, even the alligators rolling around each other in a brief battle in the like. The "winner" slowly approached the restaurant clearly hoping someone on the deck high above the lake would toss him some food scrapes. Don't don't do it! A sign clearly states not to the feed the wildlife!

I came with my sister and ordered the trio pasta which I have had before and was delicious. Unfortunately today it had no chicken and was completely separated as pictured. This is completely unappetizing and idk what chef would be ok serving this. I asked if I could order something else and the waitress told me that the cook said that “the chicken pieces are small and he just cooked it today so he’s not gonna replace it”. I payed for this plate and did not eat other than a side I ordered. Being local I am upset this was my experience because this is one of the only few restaurants in waynesboro. Doesn’t take much to treat your customers right and make good connections. Neither the cook, owner or manager came over to apologize for the meal or anything. My family and I will not be returning.
