What an amazing little place to take a pause and enjoy a taste of creamy frozen goodness in a homemade waffle bowl while watching the busy world of Winder, GA, pass by.The creative, original flavors of ice cream displayed in a colorful array are like little tubs of treasure waiting to be shared. "Mom" happily offers a sampling of whatever kind you want, but save room for a detectible sundae of one, two, or three scoops of your favorites.I can only hope that this wonderful little shop will become a fixture and a model for the growth of a delightful downtown Winder.
Absolute standout business, we went to grab some ice cream while in the area for a birthday party. Love trying new spots and this one looked great so we stopped in. The owner showed us to the bathroom, which requires you to walk through their kitchen, so you get to see how it's nice and clean while walking through. When he told me "we share the bathroom with 'Friends'" (the restaurant) I thought he was just being super nice lol But seriously, you can tell he puts a lot of love into this place. The waffle bowls made on-site were sooooo yummy. All the flavors are homemade and it tastes incredible. I was so glad to find this as you often will find little ice cream shops having tubs of big brand (artificially flavored, mass produced) ice creams. So please support this adorable biz. Their product is stellar and the vibes are alll good.

What a find! Right on the corner next to the Winder Friends Cafe. They make all their ice cream and waffles on site. When we visited, we saw they had the tried and true flavors, but they also had unique and seasonal ice creams. For instance, for fall, they had apple toffee, butter rum, pumpkin spice, and others. We all sampled many of them before selecting our desserts.I settled on the apple toffee in a waffle bowl with caramel topping. Others in my group had a mocha sundae and a straight-up dish of coffee ice cream. The coffee ice cream was claimed to be the best we'd ever taste. That claim was correct, and a pint of it came home with me.The ice cream is rich, super creamy, and doesn't skimp on the ingredients. The waffle was perfection; crisp and flavorful. The sundaes were reasonably priced, if not a bargain. The pint of coffee was a little pricy, but I feel it is well worth it. Our group had a wonderful visit!

We absolutely love this local handcrafted ice cream shop! The owners are so kind and their ice cream is incredible. We love coming in frequently to see what seasonal flavors they are carrying. You can't get it anywhere else and we love that they are here in our town!

SO GOODI go out of my way to drive to this ice cream shop when I'm craving a delicious scoop. The ice cream is made in-house in small batches, so everything is always fresh and high quality. Apparently the dude that owns the place has serious culinary chops, and it shows. My favorite thing is the made-to-order waffle sundae with liege waffles. The waffle is a little tart and salty, a perfect warm complement to the delicious cold ice cream. There are usually some very thoughtful toppings, too.This place is an absolute gem.
