La Centinela Mexican Restaurant

Incredible and very accommodating staff. My family has a family dinner night here 2-3x per month where all of my siblings and their families, parents and their spouses, cousins, etc. all come together to spend time with family. Food is delicious. Margaritas are amazing. Staff is above and beyond.

This is a great place with a great staff it's like a cool Oasis of smoochy. The drinks are good the girls are great. They have something new on the menu which is close to my heart. Beef liver with rice and beans.

If I could put no stars I would! Service was horrible! Had to track the server down just to pay the bill after he walked by several times seeing food was done being eaten. Food was not all that good, but I guess for winder that is what they are used to. Would not recommend and 1st and last time coming here.

Pretty typical American-ized Mexican food. Consistent, tasty, lively decor. We go as a work group for lunch fairly regularly. Service is fast enough for workday lunches.

Great as usual!

The service was very bad. I hated the service they treated me and my boyfriend with no respect. I got the taco bowl and it was soupy Just filled with mostly sour cream, I asked for extra jalapeños, but there was barely any it was also filled with guacamole. The amount of time the food took to cook wasn’t very long it was about 10-5 minutes . He said it was very hot, but it was lukewarm. I would rate it zero stars but you gotta at least give it one star for presentation, but it was very horrible. I go there a lot and I usually get the lady later and she is very kind but I got this man. I can’t remember his name, but he treated me horrible and when I asked him a question if he could remake the food, he pretended to act like he couldn’t speak English. It was very rude, but on his behalf, I think it was maybe his first day here but not a very good presentation for your first day. It was really rude and I didn’t like it at all how he treated me and my boyfriend and my food was good, but my boyfriend‘s food was to taco bowl. It was soupy had a lot of sour cream and cheese and a bunch of guacamole. It basically was like soup and the bottom of the bowl was very wet. This happened yesterday

The best Mexican food outside of Mexico I live in Florida and every time I come to Auburn Ga I’ll come here to eat Large portions very reasonable price

Always good food, fast service, and friendly staff.

Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options I usually get a vegetarian H which is a mushroom quesidilla with rice and beans so there are at least 8 vegetarian options.

Kid-friendliness: No problem with kids. I've brought mine since they were in highchairs and they are now in highschool.

We go to La Centinela almost weekly! We have invited friends, taken bigger parties here for networking and work functions because of how attentive and accommodating the staff is! The Texas margaritas are amazing! I usually get el tunko, and when I’m dieting, they are happy to but all the meats on a bed of lettuce instead of rice. 10/10 our favorite Mexican restaurant in Winder!

Sent out very cold food wrapped in foils…the manager argued with me! We are the customer's and they sent out subpar food. I’ve been a customer for a long time! They don’t even know that if you are in the wrong you make it right! The tacos were ice cold and they wouldn’t take it off the bill!
