It a new restaurant. You would think it should good, trying hard to impress, not so. The pizza was mediocre at best. I have eaten at many pizza places in my 77 years, this restaurant is sad. The toppings tasted like they came from a grocery store. The crust was the best part of the pie. Little cheese, toppings were as said before grocery store. I will give this pizza place one more try.

Amazing experience at Italian Pie in downtown Winder. The owner, Rafaelo, personally took care of us, which made it even more special. The Hawaiian pizza was perfectly baked with fresh ingredients and great flavor balance. Highly recommended—true passion for pizza here!

Worst service I had and I work in food and beverage, my food was delay for over an hour because of staff and the owner apologized. Never will go back!

Very good will come back definitely best place in Winder
Best pizza I've tried! My husband's family is from New York and New Jersey and they’ve been having trouble trying to find a good pizza restaurant and this restaurant deserves 5 STARS! It’s just like the pizza you get in New York. Excellent service and quality of food. This was much needed in Winder. Thank you so much! 🥹

Most authentic pizza in Winder. Got the 16” with pepperoni and mushrooms. Will go back again. Did the take out. Seating looks uncomfortable, just tables with benches.

If you want really good pizza Italian Pie in Winder is it! The owner is Italian and it shows in the care he gives to his menu offerings. The pasta is awesome and the dinner portion is enough for two meals, but if you eat all of it you'll need a nap after. I've been to his locations in Lawrenceville and Dacula, and I was really happy when he opened a location in Winder. This place is a true independent Italian American restaurant making good food and succeeding because of it. The Winder location has just opened and was busy busy when I stopped by but it was worth the wait... it always is worth it. In a world where chain restaurants dominate the landscape I am always willing to give my business to local small business owners. Stop by and get a slice or try the lasagna!

We recently visited Italian Pie, a newly opened pizzeria in Winder, GA, and overall had a great experience—especially when it came to the food. The pizza was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection with great flavor and texture. You can tell real care goes into the product.
The owner was very hands-on and clearly splitting himself across every area of the business to keep things running. That level of dedication really stood out.
As with many new openings, there are a few operational improvements that could make the experience even better. Having designated seating for customers waiting on to-go orders would help prevent them from occupying tables needed by dine-in guests. Adding high chairs for families with young children would also be a thoughtful addition.
From an organization standpoint, the kitchen and ordering process could benefit from a clearer system—perhaps numbered tickets with the customer’s name—so orders are prepared and called out in the correct order. Clear signage showing where the order line begins would help reduce confusion, as it wasn’t always clear who was waiting to place an order versus waiting for pickup. A separate pickup line would also help streamline traffic during busy times.
Finally, offering a few ready-made pizzas for customers ordering slices would speed things up and improve convenience.
Overall, Italian Pie delivers outstanding pizza and shows a lot of promise. With a few adjustments to customer flow and organization, it has all the makings of a neighborhood favorite.

Everything tastes fresh and amazing. Definitely new fave pizza place!
We’ve been waiting a long time for a “real” pizza place to open again in town. We are sick of the chains and Mazzio’s is a Pizza Hut knockoff. Firstly the pizzas are huge! Ordered two large and they were as big as pizzas in NY state. Good flavor and ingredients. We will definitely be back for sure and hope this place stays open. Best pizza in winder by far!
