We don't have a Folks by our house anymore, so when being in the area, we had to stop by. We should've kept going! The food was cold. The peach muffins were bleh. Most of the food wasn't bad. It probably would've been really good, if it was hot. The pork chop was tough. The ribs were good, but cold. Our mozzarella sticks weren't even hot enough to bite through the cheese, easily. The waitress said she didn't know why they weren't cold because they had just cooked them. ?? The catfish fillets, onion petals and the fried green tomatoes were hot and tasted great.
Food was good. Good prices. Waitress forgot to bring us our drinks or it would of been 5 stars
First time here and we will definitely be back! Great value for your money and the food was simple and delicious! The variety of options will satisfy even the pickiest eater. Gluten free or vegetarian or whatever your preference, you'll be satisfied and pleased with the food!
I love the fried corn and onion petals... my go to sides when I'm there. Had the pot roast and wow!! The flavor was great and it was cooked perfectly! I can't remember our servers name, but she was awesome!
Enjoyed the dining. Quiet, clean, and good service. Would have been 5 star if the breading to the country fried steak didnt break away from the steak while cutting. Still, it was a good meal
GREAT COUNTRY COOKING. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. THANK YOU.
Pretty much home cooking. It's not fancy. It's pretty quick. I had a very good BLT. my wife had a country fried steak (chicken fried). Also very good. Not Starbucks fancy, but quick, filling and reasonably priced. We will be back.
Just nowhere as good as they use to be. Terrible fried green tomatoes. If you are going to fry green tomatoes they had better be soft and sweet. Otherwise you are just another Yankee that needs to go back home already
This is our 2nd year in a row of having Thanksgiving at this folks restaurant off 92 and 575. Both years the waitress had an attitude. The food was great, the prices were affordable, & there was no wait! I can understand this as it being a holiday and they seemed to have been understaffed both years. My suggestion to management would to be having more employees on Thanksgiving and possibly offer a better monetary incentive so they are in a better mindset.
Food was bland. It didn't have any seasoning at all. I was truly disappointed however, the waiter was extremely nice.

We have eaten here twice now (once in the restaurant and once to go) and both times have been great. The food was fresh, the staff was friendly, and they have a complimentary bean bar! If you're in the area and want quality home style cooking, then definitely check this place out.
So much bang for your buck! I wish they still used the original country fried steak, and my squash had a little too much crackers in it-but it was delicious as always!
This place used to be good. Current visit, service was slow. The shrimp was not crispy and a bit undercooked. It was not the best experience.
THIS WAS MY 1ST TIME EARING THERE I'M FROM MEMPHIS TN AND THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. I HAS CATFISH FRIED GREEN TOMATOES AMD A SALAD. AND THE PEACH MUFFINS WOW!!! DELICIOUS.
I order delivery often. The chicken has really been fantastic lately! The chicken, steak, and sides arrive hot and delicious. Folks has really stepped up their game. Also, they take the time to read delivery requests and build your order accurately. Great job all around!
