The Kemp-Durham House, built in the 1890s, is a recognized downtown historic site currently housing Ipp's Pastaria & Bar.

The bartender was extremely helpful fulfilling special requests of our favorite chicken or salmon franchese, which is not on their menu but is on the Ippolitos menu. The chef made it just as delicious - note the pasta portion is about 1/2 of Ippolitos - we ordered an additional side to add to each dish.

The spaghetti and meat sauce with meatballs is very good and you get the two rolls and marinara per entree.”

It's a solid restaurant and bar, and I've known quite a few bartenders and servers there during the last five or so years. What really keeps it on my list, though, is Leigha behind the bar. Leigha makes a great Old Fashioned, but it's more than just the drinks. Leigha has a way of making the bar feel comfortable and familiar, like catching up with a neighbor rather than just ordering another round. The conversation is always easy, never forced, and it's one of the main reasons my friends and I choose Salt when we're deciding where to go downtown. We usually check to see if she's working before making plans. That says a lot. Downtown Woodstock has plenty of good spots, but Leigha is a big reason Salt continues to stand out for us.”

“We have never been disappointed by Marco’s Pizza, on Eagle Drive, in Woodstock, Georgia! Today, though, exceeded my expectations! I made an online order, to have delivered, at 1:10 this afternoon. It wasn’t like them to be late, then I got a call from Door Dash, informing me that the order was going to be canceled. I called Marco’s, and found out that our order was stolen by the Door Dash driver! Marco’s only uses Door Dash, if they don’t have a Marco’s driver at the time. Marco’s was willing to take a loss, re-make our order, and deliver it to us, with their amazing Marco’s delivery driver! I said to the driver that I heard our original order was stolen, and he said, “yeah, along with the tip.” That broke my heart, so I immediately grabbed the cash I had, in order to give him a tip, but he deserved so much more! He said that I didn’t need to do that, but there was no way I could let a Door Dash thief get away with a tip, and him get nothing. I am forever grateful to Marco’s Pizza, in Towne Lake!”

I never imagined that there was a Brazilian breakfast spot but I was greatly surprised how good it was. It’s a hidden gem inside a community and it’s a small intimate spot. We were taken care of from the start and the food was phenomenal. We had an iced mocha, espresso, coffee, Brazilian cheese bread, waffles and omelette. The highlights for me were their cheese bread and their banana waffles. My mom loved their coffee and their cheese bread. We will definitely be back again to try new things and our favorite things. Service was also really fast and professional and the location is pretty convenient where it's easy to turn off from the 92 highway to make a quick run here if you're in a hurry.”

“This being my first time at Izumi, I was very impressed. A co-worker suggested that I try them for lunch today. I ordered the Drunken Tiger, the Ocean Roll, and a hot tea. The service was fantastic, both the host and server were friendly and had welcoming smiles. I recieved my food in a timely manner and took the suggestions for dishes. They did NOT disappoint! Both of my dishes were delicious. The fish was fresh and the flavors were to die for. I asked for my check early; as I have a brief break. My server offered me some fresh tea to go as I left; which was very much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be returning.”

I ordered the family size curds and they didn't offer and sauce which I thought was odd....went up and asked after the fact.

One of the employees, Kirsten, has made the added effort to learn our names and recognize us with a broad smile when she sees us and kind friendly words of hospitality and welcome,seeing to it that we leave with a hometown feeling that our business is appreciated. When she isn’t there, we miss her. Food is dependably delicious and senior specials are a blessing.”

“Ordered takeout and the food I got was very good. I asked for extra spicy and they actually made it spicy unlike other places that don't even after asking. I'm picky with chinese food and this place has amazing value price and food quality wise. The soups are amazing. Both the hot and sour and wonton soup are absolutely delicious. Lunch special has a very good portion size. Def coming back. Got the Kung pao/sweet and sour chicken. Both were very good. The lady at the counter is very nice as well. I liked ordering and getting my food fairly quickly.”

“This my favorite Chinese food restaurant in the area. I have usually get my food to go. I usually get Ckicken Lo Mein and Pot Stickers/Dumplings(steamed). The food is excellent and always hot in tempature. I don't ever have to ask where is the meat for any of their dishes because there is always more then enough. I have nothing bad to say about Golden House.”

Literally ran through the parking lot, across the road. Sometimes driving away and realizing when it’s too late you don’t have something you ordered can ruin your day, so I thought that was really cool of that guy. “Good prices, good food, as expected. But what was not expected, was the service! I informed the fella taking orders that I have an allergy to chicken, which the customer just before me had ordered in abundance. I asked them to use clean gloves, and he passed the request down the line of cooks without hesitation. In less than a minute, every hand behind the counter was being washed and every food contact surface wiped!

I know that this should be standard, but these days it’s rare to see such simple things done so efficiently and with a smile! It’s the kind of thing I struggle to drill into the heads of my own employees, even!”

I mostly wanted to leave a review as a WARNING to anyone who orders the birria the Salsa that comes with it is INSANELY SPICY. Like not the fun kinda spicy but the kind that makes the side of your face numb for 5 minutes. My friends were making fun of me but then they tried it too and we were all SWEATING. if pain is your thing go for it but for everyone else considered yourself your official warning”
