“Unbelievable how good this hidden gem is. Tucked away inside the BP gas station, the food is unparalleled. Flavor explosion with every bite. If you haven't tried, let this be the reason you do. Best food in Woodstock. Hands down, PERIOD!“
“Taqueria Tsunami is one of our favorites, and we always combine lunch there with shopping at the Woodstock outlets. The food is delicious, the service excellent, and the prices fair. It’s a great way to make shopping that much more enjoyable.“
“This place is great. First visit, I heard good things. I've been to Los Bravos and El Jinete and I'd have to say, beyond all else this restaurant just feels cleaner. The service was great, everyone working there seemed to work as a team and checked in with tables. The food was solid. I got the Al Pastor tacos, wife got the Arepas with Brisket. Both were tasty.I'll for sure be going back.Kid-friendliness: Standard kid menu.“
“Cash only is the only concern. The tacos are great. But who carries cash anymore? If the gas station ATMs didn't charge four bucks a withdrawal perhaps this would get five stars. This place has never failed me, except when I don't have cash on me.“
“Casual and friendly Mexican joint. Spicy salsa, great margaritas, and the food is on point every time. The staff is friendly and attentive and it's great to see familiar faces wherever we go. And you can't beat the price either!! This is our go to for Mexican food.“
“This was our first visit to this particular establishment. Went there specifically because they had Horchata! The food was delicious and generous portioned. Felt it was a little pricey at first, but the lunch portions were the same as a dinner portion somewhere else. But, $13.25 for a bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup seems a bit much. The service was mediocre, considering that it was Saturday afternoon and there were only about 5 tables filled in the whole restaurant. He kept giving us unsweetened tea instead of sweet, saying that the urns had been switched. Then it took forever to get the check. All in all, though, we will most likely try this restaurant again.“
“Cool place! It was stacked on a Monday night — turns out Monday is $1.50 taco night. Super slammed but we were sat in prolly 15 mins. The food was great! Fairly standard tex med fare but it was all good, the tacos, rice, beans, chips, and salsa were all enjoyable. I also got a steak street taco and it was better than expected — steak was well seasoned and tender!Service was great despite the chaos, overall really enjoyed our time here.“
“I really enjoyed the tamales, especially since they have a red meat sauce that tops them, with rice and beans to provide a filling and savory meal. The pricing is such that you get a ridiculous value, even if you don't fill up on chips and salsa. Leftovers are just as nice reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes. I might have accidentally found a reason to go three times in the course of seven days...The service is incredibly fast, and the employees are super welcoming and friendly. It's been a while since I've experienced such wonderfully genuine smiles at a restaurant. It's as though they enjoy the food and environment as much as you will.Parking: Stoo mall with decent enough availability, but it may be busy at times.Wheelchair accessibility: Clearly marked spots to park, and the table types accommodate wheelchairs.“
“As soon as we arrived we were all greeted with a warm welcome by Alonso, and he sat us at our table. I asked him what he recommends and based on his response, there is simply no wrong choice. The atmosphere is very nice and warm. Between the relaxing lighting, the subtle art, and friendly staff, you're bound to feel welcomed in this place. Chips, salsa, and water arrived as we were getting situated. The team here works together very well. Kim was our waitress, and was very kind and attentive! Everyone we spoke to here has made our experience, the best experience. We were having a great time speaking with Mario and Juan about all the different meals as well because we were having a bit of a dilemma with our decisions, as we wanted to try a bit of everything. This is our third time here (you'd think we'd know what we wanted by now) but I know that there will be many more visits. I just feel bad that I hadn't left a review sooner! Jesus and Luis took care of us the last couple times, so that gives me some inclination that they treat their staff well from an employee retention standpoint, they were here from the first time I came in! When I say that the team works together very well, I truly mean it because they made us all feel welcomed and respected! Margaritas are 100% the move here. To date, we've had the regular, strawberry, and mango margaritas. They are all balanced very, very well and are not over sweetened at all. Just fresh and delicious flavors. Big thank you to the bartenders here! All in all, you have to try this place. From the most extravagant meal, to the simplest plate, you can taste the love that the kitchen prepares on every platter. Even the most picky eater will enjoy an "ACP," cheese, chicken, and rice seasoned perfectly. Enjoy!“
“Our server, Andrea, was very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious!! They JUST bought the restaurant. So, they are still putting their 'touches' on it. We loved that it's a completely family owned and operated restaurant! We will be back!“
“Authentic Mexican flavor at its finest. A delicious selection of amazing Mexican dishes such as the Burrito Cubano or the Del Mar - my go to favorites. Refreshing margaritas that awaken your senses while cooling off your thirsty desires. Shhhh .. (Margarita specials on Tuesdays... Beer specials on Wednesdays). A very clean restaurant with a vibrant ambience.I usually don't wait this long to write a review but this one has been 15+ months in the making.Friendly, attentive, delightful staff providing exceptional service for your dining pleasure. You just have to experience it to believe it.Weekdays - Usually no lines or waiting however this might vary depending on the time of day.Weekends - Get here early for dinner or join the wait-list. Still, you won't be disappointed. And to my bartenders - Kelsey, Joanna, Kassandra, Stephanie, Joce, Emily, Tyler, Janna - well done. You're all Fantastic. Keep up the great service.Omar, Irene, Dani - Thank You!“
“This was a restaurant that my wife and girl friends went for a girls day lunch. So we as a couple went there and I found this is now our go to for all things mexican food. Great food and large beer/wine selection that will please all groups.“
“We only tried the street tacos and the chips and salsa. We got an assortment of tacos and they were AWESOME!!! Fresh ingredients and the avocado salsa is to die for!!! The house salsa is also very good. The chips were just ok. They seemed a little stale, but if that the only bad thing, no problem!“
“We drive by plenty of other Mexican restaurants on the way to Agave Azul. This restaurant has matured over the years and is our favorite. The food just has more flavor. It is also consistent. I know my steak will be delicious every time. Bar selection is first rate. The management is always pleasant and welcoming. Wait staff is personable and professional. The owner updates the interior look occasionally to stay interesting. They also have musical entertainment from time to time.“
“I've been going to this restaurant for years. Might be new people running it but it has the same great tasting food and atmosphere. I will say though this location is a lot better than the one near the hickory flat area. $3 and $4 margarita night on Sunday!Kid-friendliness: My friend has three teenage girls that I often go out to eat with. They loved the food.“
“Pure Taqueria never disappoints! We took our granddaughter for the 1st time, and our daughter&SIL, (visiting from KY) for only their 2nd time in 5 years. Everyone really enjoyed! Our waitress was sooo good, and it was a great time for us!“
“The cashiers were attentive and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was kept clean. I ordered food to go, when I arrived home and looked at my food some of it looked unappetizing and rushed. I understand that it's a fast food restaurant but that doesn't mean they should throw things in a wrapper and put it in a bag without actually paying attention to how it looks.“
“I got the Pabellon Criollo. Shredded beef with rice, avocado, fried sweet plantain, and black beans. I also got flan. With tip it came to almost $30, but this is the best food I've had on this trip to Woodstock. It's a small place with only 3 tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The music is lively and makes for fun atmosphere. The food was made quickly and the sauces were good. It was the best flan I've ever had. Great place.“
