Like the other reviews:-weird fishy smell when you walk in-at first we thought it was closed because dining room was empty and no one at host stand. And the whole downtown was busy.-untrained staff, constantly bugging us if we were okay while we were deep in conversation. And attire doesn't match the high level feel the restaurant is trying to be. And felt rushed and the place was empty.-brought out main course while we were still halfway done with apps-gnats flying around when food was delivered-food was good. But price doesn't match the experience here. Likely won't be back again

Stopped by recently with friends - excited to try it since it was “rebranded”. Not a good experience at all. The smell? What is going on there?? Not sure how anyone feels safe eating raw fish in a place that smells so bad. The staff are rude and untrained. The decor is trying be classy but landing more at trashy, and the music was so loud we couldn’t even have a conversation which is why we go out - to enjoy time with friends and listen to good music in the background, not scream over bad music. Honestly, the whole vibe is pretty bad and gross. Don’t recommend and way better places to eat and hang out in downtown Woodstock.

Was really excited about eating here… but the smell was horrific. We ordered a roll to go trying not to be rude. Just couldn’t sit there and take that. I felt bad for the waitresses. I would’ve quit if I had to work in that smell.

Yesterday was my second time to Kai. This time I had one of the seafood boils with garlic butter and it was delicious! I believe it was the "ultimate" boil...highly recommend. Went with friends who had sushi and said it was really good. Apparently Thursday is $5 martini night. I had a dirty martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives. Yum! Server was super nice and helpful.

This is literally the best sushi I have had in Georgia. I would come here all the time.

Great place to get something when in a hurry. Their service is rapid, rates are affordable, good mood. Keep up the good work

I wish I had a better review as this place looks fantastic. However there were so many gnats inside it was impossible to eat with out constantly waving a hand to keep them off of food. The music while nice was so loud it was impossible to actually hold a conversation. Food was of an ok quality button worth the price

Fun bar, great drinks and food. The only place in DTWS continually open past 1am.

What a mess, you'd thought were we walking into a college bar with the wait staff dressed that way, then, the loud inaudible cowboy strumming country drinking songs. Its a sushi place with martinis, nawww, we had to lean in and yell to eachother to talk. Beer bottles on tables, slow service, drunk 40+ yr old folks dancing around their tables, etc... It was just great having a spilled caraf of scalding hot sake in my lap and being ignored till the manager offered to make up for it with offering $8 dollars off, lame! The way the staff was behaving - I bet its a fun place to work. We are never going back. I dont think they care anyway, but eventually, this place will need serious management help. Their website is misleading, its no classy place.

Smells funny from the entrance to inside of the restaurant. The whole vibe was sad. I see what they are TRYING to go for but it's definitely missing flavors and style! But I guess it works for their local folks.

AWESOME martinis! I recommend the coconut and basil. All of the signature cocktails are a safe bet. Sushi is delicious, as well as the tacos. Great for a night out.

Untrained staff. Starting with bartender, took our appetizer order, but never asked about dinner order, so we left and ate across the street. Then, we went back to try again to have dessert. Waitress said they had no dessert menu and rattled off chocolate martini, chocolate cake and something else, as she focused on another table. She shared how busy she was and gave me the roll eyes! I shared it wasnt that busy on a thursday and how would she handle the weekend and she should be happy to have a job! After 2 inexperienced wait staff experiences, we wont return here. This was our first time visiting Woodstock!
