The young lady who assisted us in purchasing different items was polite and very helpful. The other person who worked there didn't greet us as she greeted others who walked into the establishment. After tasting both chocolates and ice cream, we rated them above average . Excellent location for the shop
This is great little ice cream shop in downtown Woodstock! My family loved the milkshakes and the ice cream was also delicious. We tried chocolate and dulce de leche milkshakes and chocolate and toasted coconut ice cream. Service was friendly and the place was packed on the weekend.
This place has some great treats. I haven't tried everything, but everything looks so decadent and delicious (also kinda pricey). I was glad to find one in my area after first discovering Kilwins at the beach in Alabama. That's where I fel¹l in love with the Nutcracker mix. It's caramel covered popcorn with pecans and almonds. This time, bought the large bag. So good!
Kilwins always hits the spot — the ice cream is rich, the waffle cones are fresh, and the staff are genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll find scooping late at night. To the people whining because they showed up 5 minutes before closing and got turned away maybe show up earlier next time? they’re not your personal midnight dessert slaves.Treat their closing time with respect. I want late night ice cream there’s options. Stay being a sweet tooth , Ignore the crybabies.
Didn’t let me in, a few minutes before closing.
amazing chocolate! grace was so helpful, made the whole experience complete. i got the turtle apple and it is truly the best got pecan lovers <3
If you see a Kilwins Ice Cream shop, stop in and try it. Their ice cream is truly high quality. You taste the cream and not aerated cream. Our go-to flavor is always the chocolate with toasted coconut. So 😋
Kilwins moved into a retail space below me in The Condo Building, Chambers Street. I am a good customer. However, Kilwins is NOT a good neighbor. Two or more years the A/Cc/cooling unit on the back retail lever is noisy, 24/7. I hear it all night as do all of us on that side. Repeated requests to have this serviced have been ignored by management, who are well aware of the problem. Another reason big chain ownership here has been discouraged.
NOT GOOD NEIGHBORS.
Anytime we go to downtown Woodstock we have to stop in and get some dessert after supper. The employees are really nice
My wife & I were celebrating her birthday today up in Woodstock. We went into your shop, excited about desserts & chocolates. My wife ordered a piece of divinity rolled in nuts, as well as a milk chocolate, cashew nut cluster. The divinity piece was hard as a rock, I was afraid I would break a tooth just trying taste it. The nuts & the divinity tasted old. The cashew caramel nut cluster was also old. So old in fact that after those tastes, we threw it in the trash. I ordered a chocolate caramel walnut cluster, it was also rock hard & old. I also ordered the caramel apple pie apple.
It also was old & tasted that way. These two items also were thrown into the trash.
I don’t mind spending money, especially when celebrating my wife & her birthday. We spent $36 at your store & threw all four items into the trash. A total waste of money, a disappointment for her birthday. It is sad especially in today’s economy. I have read other reviews before I wrote ours & it seems to be a real issue at your location, as compared to a one-off experience.

Delicious coffee ice cream with good atmosphere around
Kilwins in Downtown Woodstock: A Paradise for traditional Ice Cream Lovers!
If you’re looking for ice cream that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite, Kilwins is the place to be around Woodstock. This cozy spot in Downtown Woodstock not only has a great atmosphere, but its quality and flavors are absolutely amazing.
My favorites? Dulce de Leche, Rum Raisin, and Coconut! The Dulce de Leche is pure creamy bliss, perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. The Rum Raisin is a classic with just the right hint of rum, making it irresistible. And the Coconut? A tropical dream with little coconut bits that take it to the next level.
Every visit to Kilwins is a guarantee of quality, rich flavors, and friendly service that makes you feel welcome. If you’re a true ice cream lover, this place is a must! 🔥🔥🙏🏽
Really good ice cream. Pricing is on par with other premium ice cream such as cold stone and the location is cool being in downtown
I brought my son and his friend there the other day. They got the Vanilla and Cookie dough ice cream. I didn't get one for myself, but I did try theirs.
Both were very good. My son loves to try different vanilla from different places .. he said it was a really good vanilla. And that right there, is what made me think of making this post.
And thank you to the nice workers. They let us take as much time as we needed to decide, Because There Are soooo many good looking options.
Thank you guys.
The caramel apple was great but the manager on the evening shift (7pm on Tuesday Jan 29th) was way too harsh and mean on her employees. The young man that ran the register was exceptionally kind and explained that it's his first day, but his manager went off on him and snapped at him right in front of me. When I asked the manager if I could have my caramel apple in a plastic box instead of a tiny paper bag (mainly it's easier to eat that way), she snapped at me saying that they only do that for Door Dash. Everyone else gets the tiny paper bag. I tried explaining that the Alpharetta location always gives it to me in a plastic box, so she sighed heavily and told the young man to put it in a box just this one time.
Then she snapped again at the poor cashier when he had trouble ringing me up! The other employee, Ryan, ran up and tried to help the cashier but the manager just went off.
I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but there is never an excuse to chew out an employee on his first day. A good manager would be with him for the entire day teaching him. The owner of this location would be best training or relocating that manager to a nonmangerial role.
