came for dinner good food picky eater friendly they also had good margaritas and chips will be back! the combo i got was missing some on flavor but the tacos were very flavorful and good so definitely something for everyone’s preferences!

Good spot for food and drinks. No need to go into all that much about this place as it has been here for over 30 years. You don't pull that off if you aren't doing something right. I just got a combination plater this time with a margarita. The food is good, fast even when busy and doesn't disappoint. Portions are decent sized and you don't leave this place hungry again for quite sometime.If you are a chips and salsa person like myself, the chips are a little thicker and crunchy and the salsa is more on the spicy than sweet side. You can make a decent meal out of chips\salsa and margaritas here, trust me ;)They have outside tables and plenty of inside space. I sat at the bar due to it being busy and me being by myself. Service is prompt and friendly with no issues at all. Good vibes.

While i was dining in this restaurant i was handled with great customer service by a worker named Ashley. She was very nice, helpful, and kept it very professional. Although there was a rude old man who appeared to be the owner, made the experience slightly less enjoyable and he was rude to the server. Other then that everything was great.

As soon as we arrived we were all greeted with a warm welcome by Alonso, and he sat us at our table. I asked him what he recommends and based on his response, there is simply no wrong choice. The atmosphere is very nice and warm. Between the relaxing lighting, the subtle art, and friendly staff, you're bound to feel welcomed in this place. Chips, salsa, and water arrived as we were getting situated. The team here works together very well. Kim was our waitress, and was very kind and attentive! Everyone we spoke to here has made our experience, the best experience. We were having a great time speaking with Mario and Juan about all the different meals as well because we were having a bit of a dilemma with our decisions, as we wanted to try a bit of everything. This is our third time here (you'd think we'd know what we wanted by now) but I know that there will be many more visits. I just feel bad that I hadn't left a review sooner! Jesus and Luis took care of us the last couple times, so that gives me some inclination that they treat their staff well from an employee retention standpoint, they were here from the first time I came in! When I say that the team works together very well, I truly mean it because they made us all feel welcomed and respected! Margaritas are 100% the move here. To date, we've had the regular, strawberry, and mango margaritas. They are all balanced very, very well and are not over sweetened at all. Just fresh and delicious flavors. Big thank you to the bartenders here! All in all, you have to try this place. From the most extravagant meal, to the simplest plate, you can taste the love that the kitchen prepares on every platter. Even the most picky eater will enjoy an "ACP," cheese, chicken, and rice seasoned perfectly. Enjoy!

Very good restaurant Great Mexican food! I like everything there. Staff is friendly to, I have been going there for a long time! Its been in that location off Hwy92 in Woodstock for many years lunch combinations are always reasonable very good lunch I had taco enchilada and rice and beans! Try Monterrey its a very good Mexican food!

Didnt want to wait at LaParilla so we searched for other Mexican restaurants (with margaritas) and oh boy!! Monterrey was more than a pleasant surprise. Great service, food, and atmosphere. It is now my go to. I haven't tipped below 20% yet. It's so great!
