I'd never been here before and ended up really disappointed. I was part of a larger party (who had a reservation) and we only had one server who still had to manage other tables that night. (I place no blame on her. She did her best.) The food took 1-2 hours to be served, it didn't all come out together, and some people were told last minute (after waiting all that time) that they were out of the dish they had ordered. My food wasn't even good and I honestly didn't want to take my leftovers. We all received a discount, but the experience wasn't worth it. I would consider elsewhere and I won't be returning. Highly disappointing and quite frankly ridiculous.

Ate there today for the first time and it will be the last! Food was average but the place is in desperate attention for deep cleaning and a remodel. When we walked in we looked at each other and both were thinking, should we leave…. Well, we should have. Service was slow and we felt like we were in a biker bar. Expected better.

I ate here last night, I was excited to try this restaurant being pescatarian I’m always looking for a good fish restaurant. We made reservations for 8:15 and the hostess forgot about us and we weren’t sat until 8:30 while we watched other customers walk in and be seated. Whatever, no biggie, we were sat at a table and 20 minutes go by with nobody acknowledging us at all. Our server finally comes and she is really nice, at this point we’re starving and I ordered the gumbo and we go ahead and place our entree orders as well. We wait 15 minutes just for the gumbo to arrive which I couldn’t eat because it had meat, which isn’t a big deal and happens all the time, so I let the waitress know and she puts in the clam chowder for me as I’m dying of hunger by this point. She brings it out quickly and guess what? It has ham in it so I couldn’t eat it. This is after letting her know I don’t eat meat. She takes it off the bill and we wait another 15 minutes to get our entrees, by this point it’s 9:30 and we arrived at 8:15. After being served our food, we sit and wait bellies rumbling and we can’t even eat our food because we have no silverware. No silverware after sitting here for over an hour to get our food! The bartender who was empathizing with the upset customers kindly gave us silverware. I ordered the redfish which was just okay, not enough sauce and the asparagus was not seasoned, for 33$ fish it should be to die for. Mid-meal, a server (blonde older woman) is walking around hollering that “she needs a drink”. It seemed like maybe she already had one as she rudely pushed my boyfriend while he was eating by accident and barely even acknowledged him! This restaurant needs some serious new management and they need to take notes from Century House across the street. Finally, on our way home BOTH me and my boyfriend got so sick. This place claims to serve fresh fish and it seems like maybe they aren’t storing it properly, just take a look at their food standards… I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My wife and I have been to all the restaurants in downtown Woodstock, and I can say with confidence this one is the worst by far.Management- absolutely poor. Whoever the lady is running the floor (possibly owner?) is the most unprofessional woman I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. I could not believe how this person was speaking to her staff, and how vulgar she was for the entire restaurant to hear. It doesn’t matter if the food is good (it wasn’t), this put a damper on the whole evening for my wife and myself.Service- Okay. Waiter was at least nice and apologetic for how long our food was taking. 1 hour to make 2 entrees….Food- DISGUSTING! I’m sitting here currently sick to my stomach after eating here. My wife and I both are now sick after dinner here. Food arrived cold. Shrimp and grits tasted like it had been sitting and just tasted off. My wife also said her salmon tasted funky. Now I’ve looked up their previous health scores and see they’ve just barely passed several times…. I’m actually debating calling the health department now, because this is scary and dangerous with seafood.Atmosphere- dark, freezing cold, and the inside looks like it’s old and borderline falling apart. Our table also wobbled the whole meal.Whatever you do, don’t come to this place. Literally any other option in downtown Woodstock is better. They should call this place “Reely Bad”. I hope they close and something better pops up here soon.

There are so many seafood options on the menu. I love their shrimp and grits, the service was really good, and overall experience was amazing.Parking: Very busy intersection with not that many parking spots.

Can’t give less than 1 star. Karen, the owner belittles her staff in front of guests(look at the other 1 stars). She screams obscene language in front of everyone(including my 1 and 6 year old). Can’t even have the decency to take the employee to the back to have a conversation. Who cares what the food is like when you witness the outrageou behavior. The chef, David is a good guy. Needs to get out of business with his crazy ex wife, Karen….and yes…she’s a Karen

What was supposed to be, let’s get out and go for a ride took me to Historic Woodstock, Georgia. Right to the front doors of Reel Seafood, the food and service was great. Our food was delicious my wife’s choice out did my grilled salmon, which was good, but she had shrimp and grits. No kidding, She beat me this time! The shrimp and grits were slamming! Overall, Reel Seafood, was reel good!

We had a great time at Reel. Our server was delightful and attentive. We enjoyed our appetizers, drinks, and entrees. The Creme Brule was the perfect ending ?

We had a large party of 12. Our service personnel were absolutely wonderful. My meal was good for the price but many items on the menu were overpriced. Price these days for a nice meal may be appropriate but still hard to swallow .

Sunday brunch was very good. Had the fried fish sandwich and the burger both were very good. Quality meat and cooked as ordered! The wait staff seemed to be slightly short staffed yesterday but, the recovered well as we weren't in a hurry. Enjoyed the meal and plan to visit again soon.

The first thing that struck me was the restaurant wasn't very full, only two tables with guests. They sit our party of 4 right next to one of the tables, then the next party to come in right next to us. We ended up with four full tables all bunched together. Why you ask, because they only had one server. I ordered the triple lunch dish. They brought out the soup first, then the salad, and no food for the rest of the table. It took a long time for our food to come because, there was only one cook in the kitchen. My chowder was good, but not too New England style. The salad was good and I had a half salmon sandwich which was very good. My friends had the black cod salad and she enjoyed it, her husband got the shrimp tacos and said they were okay, but wouldn't get them again. My husband had the fish sandwich and said there was more breading than fish and the fries were just mediocre. Our server truly worked hard and was doing his best. Very polite and did a good job but he was overworked.

Go here a lot. When my family came out from Arizona I took them to many-a- restaurant throughout Woodstock, Kennesaw, and Canton and their favorite was Reel. I'm adding this! It's an update! Having a truly upsetting day. Feel like no one sees me! Sitting downtown, truly feeling this, pity party for myself! Lol I go into Reel coz I know they have the drinks and the food I want and then... and then... the bartender, Jackie, is like.. "how is your mom and her dress making business? ".... I am blown away. I haven't been here for a month and she must have overheard my husband and I weeks ago... and she remembered! Me! She remembered me! After I have had the most awful days thinking no one gives AF about me or knows me or cares! And here's reel and Jackie! Weeks.. months later.... you remembered. Thank you! Thank you for caring! You saved me this night.

Sunday brunch was good, I got the chicken and waffles, they were amazing. I got whipped cream on the side and it only made it better. Will come again for just that.
