Issue 2 of a three part series. I know you read my Bo's Kitchen review because this is part two. A recap from the pervious episode, it's the restaurant that has to it's right Bo's Kitchen and to the left is HiFi Cafe. All confined to the same space as the old Taco Bell. Here at Asian Flavors, I only hot the Thai Loa Sausage. It's one sausage cut up into 6 pieces. Like how Chili's cuts a standard egg roll in half to make it look like two pieces. The illusion of more bang for the back. But this is worth the price because it was good. You get the heat in the end and the accompanying sauce add another layer of flavor. You can eat the sausage with or without the sauce. Overall three stars. I'm not gonna judge a restaurant on one appetizer with anything above a three. Stand by for my next review. Some Yelp channel, same corny jokes. Now excuse me, time to enjoy my duck noodle soup. Aww man it's still hot!!!! M

Came to pick up take out for dinner based on my fellow Yelper Eileen's enthusiastic urging and wonderful reviews. I wanted to try this place before they close on 12/24/2021. They are keeping their Ohana Market Place site, but this is such an easy to get to & park location. Everything was really good, but beware because we ordered the cucumber salad with mild heat, but it was pretty darn spicy. I bit into a whole smashed Thai chili pepper that I thought was a smashed cherry tomato. I ate the side salads that no one wanted as well as a taste of some Panang curry and Pad Thai. I would imagine the meals would be even better if we ate it there while it was piping hot. Thanks Eileen for the recommendation!

One of the best crispy pork belly plates on the island to me, comes from here! It's delicious and fried, yet still tender. It comes with the most delicious shoyu/vinegar sauce with pieces of diced white onions and tomatoes, and two scoops white rice. It kinda reminds me of like a lechon kawali which is like a Filipino style fried pork. When I feel like I don't want to eat rice, you can also get it as a salad which is equally delicious (if you're watching your carb intake). Every single dish I tried here is so bomb and flavorful! - Crazy Asian fries - Spring rolls: SERIOUSLY THE BEST EVER!!! - Crispy pork belly salad - Long bean salad - Papaya salad - Asian tofu salad If you have the chance, please come and try their food! I've learned today that the last day might be Friday, Dec. 24, 2021 (Christmas Eve). A new place will open up in their space. *sad face* It's so vital right now to support local, so places like these will continue for long time! In addition to trying great food, you're also supporting a person/family's dream! Follow them on Instagram @asianflavorshi

So far so good, I had the green papaya salad and the Laos sausage. The green papaya salad was so spicy and so yummy. If you tell them you want it hot, they will make IG super hot and it's you will definitely enjoy that spice. I also had the Laos sausage that which was so delicious with the green papaya salad. I'm telling you, the two together is awesome! Something about Laos sausage makes it so different, I don't know what they put in it, but it's so yummy. I'll definitely be back for more.

This place might not look like much on the outside, but looks can be deceiving! I stumbled upon Asian Flavors when I was trying to find something quick to eat at the mall on my lunch break. I am a huge fan of Thai food and saw this place had Thai/Laotian fusion food. I decided to order their spicy long rice noodles with pork belly and now I literally get this every time I go here lol. It comes with clear long rice noodles in a spicy clear broth with generous pieces of pork belly and veggies. I ask to get it pretty spicy although it's already spicy. You know Thai/Laos do not mess around with their spices so this definitely has some heat to it. But I love it!! Price is pretty reasonable here too. They have a variety of other dishes that I have yet to try but they all look good. Highly recommend coming here when you're at Pearlridge!

So I don't usually leave reviews, but I really loved the food. The restaurant is across the food court aka Phase 1, aka Uptown, aka Whatevertheydecidedtocallitthistime. We got a sampler that had Lao ribs, Lao sausage, pork chop and crispy pork belly. It was totally worth it! You can also get sticky rice on the side. The ribs were good; I really liked the seasoning. The pork belly reminded me of lechon and was served with onions and tomato on the side. The pork chop was good and had some sort of vegetable topping. The best thing was the Lao sausage. It was flavorful with a lot of herbs and had a good "snap" to it when you bit it. There was a bit of spice, but not overly spicy.... But I also like REALLY spicy things, so if you can't handle spice I wouldn't recommend the sausage. We are definitely coming back here again. I wanted to add that I also writing this review because I am thankful for the wonderful food. Last night's dinner was a bust at a new place I tried and I was afraid to try a new place again only to be disappointed again. So glad that we found a new favorite place to eat at Pearlridge!

It's Fall break, and I definitely feel left out, cause it feels like everyone's else on a staycation or traveling. So since we aren't brave enough to venture out much, I settled on finding my happy place in the three asian restaurants that replaced Taco Bell/Pizza Hut in Pearlridge. I was intrigued by the media photos of the shrimp salt egg stir fry, so I was thrilled that Asian Flavors agreed to make this specialty off menu item for me, even though it wasn't on the menu. This was AMAZING. I hadn't had this before so didn't know what to expect, but I found it to be a combo of all my favorites - kind of a garlic shrimp with the tons of garlic, spicy from the specialty local hot sauces they use (I went for medium, but next time, will try hot!), a bit salty from the tasty egg bits throughout, and wonderful textures from the crispy onion. The Insta post suggested that the salt egg has a strong taste that not all would like, but my husband liked it too even though he's normally put off by it in other dishes. I counted at least 12 shrimp (not huge, but large enough). It came with two huge scoops of perfectly cooked jasmine rice and a nice salad of cucumbers and lettuce (not a fan of the raw sprouts but it was a substantial salad), and a dressing that was tasty but not needed since it went well with the shrimp. I hope they add this to the permanent menu, or at least always make it available on their secret menu!

I tried out the Pearlridge mall location for the first time. The food we ordered were: Nam Khao (crispy rice), spicy long rice noodles with tofu, and shrimp summer rolls. I was impressed with the great flavors of the food. The shrimp summer rolls were gigantic. The broth of the long rice noodles were so flavorful. It was a hearty bowl of noodle soup. The most impressive dish is the crispy rice. It was rice cooked to mostly crispy and wrapped with lettuce leaves. It was very savory. I really liked the food we ordered for our initial visit. I hope to come back to try out other dishes on the menu.

Wow is all I can say!!!! I would rate them a 9.5 out of 10 just because of the pad Thai noodles it was very dry. Their mango sticky rice wow from the presentation to the taste it was a definite 10 out of 10. First time trying it and was not disappointed for sure. Papaya salad had it with medium spice level and it was perfectly made with the ingredients not too salty which is always good. First time trying the Lao sausage and it was also delicious not oily even their pork was perfect but wish it was a bit more tender. Highly recommended when your at pearlridge.

Yo this spot is the shiznizzles. The food is lit. If you want to be cool and you want to be lit, then this is the place for you.

I am SHOCKED this would ever be considered a food court, because it is ever BETTER than that. The food was better than I expected. One of my coworkers saw this spot and we just decided to go in and try it. The quality of the food was delicious!! It took a while to get our meal but that's because we saw them actually making it from scratch. The price is more than fair for the quality of the cook. Hands down shout out to the female chef. I was missing an ingredient because I thought I was going to get that but it was my fault for not asking but the chef took it in no problem and made me what I wanted. Sorry for no picture I ate all of it! But definitely go for the pork belly sides and curry was off da hook.

We visited the pearlridge location. Glad there's finally a okazuya place across the food court. The people were friendly but it was a bit confusing with 2 separate vendors with different menus. The okazu dishes we had noodles, shoyu chicken, nishme was on the salty side which I mentioned later to one of the staff.

We've been frequenting their new location in Pearlridge mall. It's directly across the old food court where Tilt used to be... ahh memories...lol It's convenient for us since we live closer to here than town. Owner Ashley has been creating lots of new menu items! We love the Tuesday Oxtail Special, Friday Drunken Udon Noodles and when available: Bamboo Lao Sausage with her signature rice! It's awesome! Tried the Red curry & Yellow curry with chicken. Both are delish! Another Fav is Spicy Long Rice Noodles! OMG so much flavor! It does contain pork broth... I don't eat too much pork but this place is an exception! And now they have POKE! WOW! New FAV! Truffle Poke!!! Ginger Poke!!! Will try the others soon. New Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice with Butterfly Pea Flower!!! It's SUPER CUTE! The Butterfly Pea Flower is a pretty lavender color! Taste is subtle and such a yummy treat! MAHALO ASIAN FLAVORS ~

We had been regulars at the Asian Flavors food stall at the Ohana Hale Marketplace for several years. Still, when owner/chef Ashley informed us of their move to the Pearlridge Center several months ago, we were happy and excited for their upgrade to a commercial kitchen and restaurant space. However, we were sad to know that they wouldn't be in our neighborhood any longer. Ahh, but that's business, and their move is better for their business growth. Recently, while on our return trip home from my sister's home in Central O'ahu, I mentioned going to Asian Flavors as a lunch suggestion and that since we've not roamed around the Pearlridge Center for over a year since the pandemic kept us and many away today would be a great day to dine at and walk around the mall. I remembered seeing photos of Asian Flavors' location within the Pearlridge Center, which looked to be the former Pizza Hut and Taco Bell across from Uptown's Food Court, so I directed my husband to park near the mall by the Pieology Pizzeria. Fortunately, there are many parking stalls at this shopping center, so parking is not an issue. After browsing the mall to see new retail stores opening and finding stores that we had once knew were gone, we made our way to the Food Court. We found Asian Flavors, HiFi Café, and Bo's Kitchen was now under one "storefront" as they had once been at the Ohana Hale Marketplace. These three food stalls had come together to share their cuisines with the Central and West O'ahu neighborhoods. We recognized Ashley's husband at one of the counter ordering stations and got in the designated line for Asian Flavors. Each of the three businesses (Asian Flavors, HiFi Café, and Bo's Kitchen) have their cashiering station and menu boards posted on the wall behind the station. After congratulating Ashley's husband for their move to Pearlridge along with the two other businesses, he told us about their expanded menu. We are "creatures of habit" and ordered lunch plates that we usually did at their previous location. I ordered the Lao Sausage Plate ($11), and my husband ordered the 2-meat combination plate of Lao sausage and Crispy Pork Belly ($17). Both dishes come with an Asian-tossed green salad and steamed white rice. I wanted to try their Lao Long Bean Salad (thum mak toua) which we had sampled before but is now offered as a whole salad on their menu. The Lao Long Bean Salad is served with fresh, raw tomatoes and head cabbage dressed with fresh lime juice, fish sauce, fish paste, chili peppers, and a touch of sugar. The long beans were nice and crunchy. $11 After placing our order, Ashley's husband called Ashley to come out of the kitchen to give her our good wishes in person. Ashley is so friendly and hospitable that she even offered us a tour of her new commercial kitchen, which the other two cafés share. We didn't want to bother or take her away from her business, so we went outside into the dining room to continue waiting for our meal. Ashley graciously served us cups of her house blended iced tamarind and mint beverage. To me, the drink had the perfect amount of sweetness to balance the tamarind's sour-tart flavor. She uses tamarind paste which does tend to taste sour on its own, so sweetening is needed. The addition of refreshing fresh mint leaves elevates this beverage to an excellent refresher in the tropical heat. Ashley mentioned that she might be adding this beverage to her menu soon. I'd look for this beverage on her menu soon to order, again. We picked up our lunch order to go and even found that Ashley had graciously included a Southeast Asian dessert, sticky rice with mango. The sticky rice was served warm and beautifully tinted blue from butterfly pea flowers with slices of chilled ripe mango napped with thick coconut cream and topped with a butterfly pea flower blossom. It's a stunning presentation of this Southeast Asian classic. The sticky rice had a great texture and flavor, drawing from its absorbance of coconut mil
