I more often eat Forty Niner from the food truck on Pearl Harbor base, and this was the first time at the brick and mortar.
I enjoyed the chopped beef, and the Mac salad was great. The Mac salad used spaghetti noodles and was creamy.
Great lunch! Ordered the Ube waffles, loco moco, Hawaiian plate and garlic chicken. Total for 4 plates was $58 and shared among 5 people, we couldn't eat it all. Great value and very delicious. My kids said they liked it better than the original Liliha Bakery with the counter seating, which is saying a lot because they beg to go there all the time. Will add Forty Niner to our list of fave local restaurants.
This place is iconic, easily the best food we’ve had so far on this trip. Tons of options on the menu, plus a whole other menu of daily specials. Everyone with us loved their food. Plenty of outdoor seating in the shade, and parking was easy. The staff are happy to accommodate and made a side of scrambled eggs for my kids even though it wasn’t on the menu. The hamburger tasted fantastic, whatever seasonings they used were really good.
