Food still tastes amazing. Great comfort food. They no longer has diner seating and you order via phone with your credit card. Small changes, but the food is still great. Saimin was fresh and they have a good breakfast plate. You can order takeout too.

I more often eat Forty Niner from the food truck on Pearl Harbor base, and this was the first time at the brick and mortar.
I enjoyed the chopped beef, and the Mac salad was great. The Mac salad used spaghetti noodles and was creamy.

Great lunch! Ordered the Ube waffles, loco moco, Hawaiian plate and garlic chicken. Total for 4 plates was $58 and shared among 5 people, we couldn't eat it all. Great value and very delicious. My kids said they liked it better than the original Liliha Bakery with the counter seating, which is saying a lot because they beg to go there all the time. Will add Forty Niner to our list of fave local restaurants.
