If you’re looking for quality Katsu and Curry, this is the place!!!
Unlike some other local places around the island, the Katsu here is incredibly juicy, delicious, crunchy, and fresh. When it comes out to your table, it’s served on a wire rack so the oil can drip off and not be so soggy on the bottom. It’s served with Miso Soup, rice, and a platter of delicious goodies.
There is a patio so there is a lot of seating if the inside is full and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
I will say it is a little on the pricey side but for the amount you get, you can take some home and eat it as a bento the next day!

The food is really good but I’ve found the service consistently lacking.

Today I called in to make a lunch reservation since the OpenTable page wasn’t working. The lady on the line confirmed that the page hadn’t been working but told me that tables were free and I was welcome to come in. I ask if there’s a wait and she said no. We arrive to a nearly empty restaurant but are told we have to wait 45 minutes. My mother walks in, and the waitress tells her it’s actually only a thirty minute wait and takes her number. We walk around the mall and get a text after waiting 10 minutes saying it’ll be a 35 minute wait. I suspect it’s a staffing issue as I have walked in to an empty restaurant to be told I need to wait, hence me trying to book in advance.

The whole experience was amazing. 100/10 everything.
I ordered the pork loin katsu and fried oysters. So so delish. Everything was expectional. It was not too busy when we sat down to eat. The gentleman that waiter for us was very kind and great at his job. I will come back again when I visit again.

First time dining here and overall a solid experience! We arrived around 8 PM, but since Pearlridge Mall had already closed, getting into the restaurant was a bit confusing. There were no clear directions on how to enter after mall hours, so we waited by the doors until someone exiting let us in. The restaurant closes at 9 PM, so a heads-up with signage or instructions beforehand would’ve helped.

The place was still pretty packed, so we were seated at the high-top tables. We ordered the Pork Loin Katsu Teishoku, which came with miso soup, cabbage, rice, and a small veggie side. We also got the Pork Loin Katsu Curry with rice and side cabbage.

Now, the cabbage sauce, usually our favorite part, was different this time. The sesame dressing we usually crave was available at the counter, but it had a surprisingly sour kick that had my eye twitching with every bite. My spouse had the same reaction and ended up preferring the darker shoyu-based dressing, which had a more balanced, flavorful taste. Definitely not what we expected, but it worked out!

The curry was delicious hot, fresh, and satisfying. The pork loins were tender, juicy, and had minimal fat, which we really appreciated. We also tried a few side kushikatsu: mushroom, short rib, and zucchini. All crispy and tasty additions to the meal.

Service was attentive, with one staff member consistently checking in on all the tables. As we left, we noticed a sign by the backdoor near the lanai with instructions to use that gate for after-hours access. Wish we saw that earlier, but good to know for next time!

Great food and service! My husband was stung by a centipede in the parking lot before we came in, our wait staff went above and beyond to get a bag of ice, and anything else he felt would help. So thankful!!

Great food. Service was good ,but could have been better if they had more servers. Only two servers for the entire restaurant. Definitely will go back to try more dishes.

We had lunch at this spot, and if you’re a fan of curry and deep-fried dishes, this is definitely the place for you! They offer a variety of battered and fried options that are quite tasty. Additionally, they have a selection of beer to enjoy with your meal. The service was impressively fast, which was a nice bonus. The restaurant is relatively small and is conveniently located inside Pearlridge Mall, making it a great stop during your shopping trip.

First time trying this place and I was disappointed. The rice was mushy and the Katsu wasn’t very crispy. I expected better considering the price.

Koromo Katsu & Curry is an easy walk in (dine in) casual spot for great food!

It's the first shop on the left, as soon as you enter the downtown mall auto open French doors from the parking lot.

It's first come, first serve so we visited for a late lunch. We were excited for the lunch specials (11am-2pm) option and I ordered one of them.

Ordered the lunch specials Chicken Katsu+ebi fry with curry , came with rice (choice of brown or white), pickled veggies and cabbage. We also tried the (pork ) tonkatsu teishoku , came with miso soup, rice, daikon, kimchee daikon and cabbage.

What I like about this place is the cultural aspect. You can crush your own sesame seeds and add whichever tonkatsu sauce you prefer (tangy or "spicy" or both :) mixed ) and it feels like you could be somewhere in Japan.

Highly recommend trying some kind of kushi-katsu (on a stick) and dip in the light sauce it comes with.

Looking forward to trying take out one of these days and seeing if the serving size and quality is the same🥰🙏

Parking: Easy parking up the slight ramp, or nearby between uptown and downtown malls

8/11/24: Our group of 7 waited about an hour to be seated on a Monday afternoon. Crew was friendly. Order pork loin katsu, kaki katsu, and a variety of kushi. Everything very nicely fried. Crisp and not to oily

Best japanese curry I've had on island. The chicken katsu Curry with cheese is my go-to. Always amazing. Staff is friendly, and the unlimited cabbage salad is amazing as well.

Authentic Japanese Katsu!
I’m Japanese and living in another state but came here in Hawaii for travel. There’s no Authentic Katsu restaurant in the area I live, so I was craving for so long. Also price was great. Chicken Katsu curry was $16.
If you wanted to eat Authentic Japanese Katsu and Katsu Curry, this is the best place you can find in Oahu!
Since I live in America, there aren't any good Japanese restaurants in my neighborhood, so I've always wanted to eat there. It's been a while since I've eaten cutlet curry, and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal!
