Great food. Service was good ,but could have been better if they had more servers. Only two servers for the entire restaurant. Definitely will go back to try more dishes.

We had lunch at this spot, and if you’re a fan of curry and deep-fried dishes, this is definitely the place for you! They offer a variety of battered and fried options that are quite tasty. Additionally, they have a selection of beer to enjoy with your meal. The service was impressively fast, which was a nice bonus. The restaurant is relatively small and is conveniently located inside Pearlridge Mall, making it a great stop during your shopping trip.

First time trying this place and I was disappointed. The rice was mushy and the Katsu wasn’t very crispy. I expected better considering the price.

Koromo Katsu & Curry is an easy walk in (dine in) casual spot for great food!
It's the first shop on the left, as soon as you enter the downtown mall auto open French doors from the parking lot.
It's first come, first serve so we visited for a late lunch. We were excited for the lunch specials (11am-2pm) option and I ordered one of them.
Ordered the lunch specials Chicken Katsu+ebi fry with curry , came with rice (choice of brown or white), pickled veggies and cabbage. We also tried the (pork ) tonkatsu teishoku , came with miso soup, rice, daikon, kimchee daikon and cabbage.
What I like about this place is the cultural aspect. You can crush your own sesame seeds and add whichever tonkatsu sauce you prefer (tangy or "spicy" or both :) mixed ) and it feels like you could be somewhere in Japan.
Highly recommend trying some kind of kushi-katsu (on a stick) and dip in the light sauce it comes with.
Looking forward to trying take out one of these days and seeing if the serving size and quality is the same🥰🙏
Parking: Easy parking up the slight ramp, or nearby between uptown and downtown malls

8/11/24: Our group of 7 waited about an hour to be seated on a Monday afternoon. Crew was friendly. Order pork loin katsu, kaki katsu, and a variety of kushi. Everything very nicely fried. Crisp and not to oily

Best japanese curry I've had on island. The chicken katsu Curry with cheese is my go-to. Always amazing. Staff is friendly, and the unlimited cabbage salad is amazing as well.

Authentic Japanese Katsu!
I’m Japanese and living in another state but came here in Hawaii for travel. There’s no Authentic Katsu restaurant in the area I live, so I was craving for so long. Also price was great. Chicken Katsu curry was $16.
If you wanted to eat Authentic Japanese Katsu and Katsu Curry, this is the best place you can find in Oahu!
Since I live in America, there aren't any good Japanese restaurants in my neighborhood, so I've always wanted to eat there. It's been a while since I've eaten cutlet curry, and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I went here for the first time and was looking forward to the tonkatsu from the reviews and pictures.
I went to Koromo during lunch. The restaurant was easy to find being right next to one of the entrances to the mall with ample parking on the same level. When I left the parking was taken up on the same floor but the upper floor had ample space, just a longer walk.
The restaurant is cozy with a variety of seating including regular table, high tables, and outdoor seats. The server was friendly and explained the sauces and dressings clearly because it was my first time. Her descriptions and suggestions were spot on.
The lunch menu pricing was very reasonable. I ordered the Pork Loin Katsu Lunch Set. The pork loin had a nice crispy crust but the inside was a little dryer than I expected. I really like that they have the suribachi with sesame seeds for the sauce. The suribachi was a little small so I had to put my hand over the top to stop the seeds from flying out of the bowl. The tonkatsu sauce provided was good.
The plate was completed with a dab of mustard and a nice pile of very thinly sliced cabbage. I really like mustard with tonkatsu so I appreciate that it was there. The cabbage went well with the two dressings provided. The server suggested mixing the dressings together and it was really good. I think the water in the cabbage pooled on the bottom of the pile so the last quarter of the pile of my cabbage was soggy.
I look forward to trying Koromo's curry and kushi katsu on future visits.

Food is perfect. But, don't expect the Japanese customer service here.

One of the absolute best tonkatsu spots I've ever been. We went for lunch at noon on a Sunday and only had to wait around 30min for a table. I ordered the ebi and pork filet combo and it came out really quickly. The ebi was super flavorful, and the pork was supremely tender. Both were fried perfectly golden brown. The katsu sauce is a little on the sweet side, but definitely good. I loved the garlic miso dressing so much I bought a bottle to take home. I will absolutely be coming here again!

Koromo,This is the second time you’ve done this. First time was just three weeks ago. You need to provide utensils and napkins with your takeout orders! I ordered through DoorDash and the app does not have a utensils and napkins option for your restaurant. For the price I pay, you should automatically add napkins and utensils for ALL takeout orders! Don’t assume everyone is ordering from home. A lot order from work for lunch and I cannot eat your curry because I do not have a spoon at work. Lastly, the food was good as usual but your rice sucked today.*Updated my review because the owner/manager replied promptly with an explanation and apology which I greatly respect and appreciate.

This is the first thing we ate after our flight landed. Only 10 minutes from the airport.Oh my goodness we ordered the loin and filet tonkatsu. They were crispy on the outside and the meat was juicy and tender. My kid ordered the large size loin and HE ATE IT ALL. I was surprised because he isn’t a big eater. It was that good! The miso soup was not salty and the banchan…. The pickled garlic scape, danmuji muchim &pickled cabbage… My Korean grandmother would approve. This place was so much better than the famous place in Honolulu that I had visited for katsu. We are definitely coming back to this place during our trip!

Food is decent but the customer service is terrible. The staff messed up our order and they would not give us a refund for the item that they missed! We called multiple times with no answer and when they did answer they wanted us to make the 25 min drive back to pick up the item. I would not recommend this place to any family member or friend! Stay away

Very disappointing experience! Ran out of several items by 2. Not very flexible with substitution. My kids waited over 30 after the rest of us got our dishes. While other tables received their orders. With no apologies just "oh I don't know what happened" No music...door open cigarette smell from outside coming into restaurant.
