Stepping into Marujyu Market is like stepping back into the Hawaii. Here they have all of the classic Hawaiian food dishes like Laulau, Lomi Salmon, Kalua Pig, Chicken Long Rice, Poke, etc. The Kalua Pig was so tender and juicy with so much flavor, definitely a favorite of mine. If you no can decide what to get they get a good selection of Hawaiian combo plates plus you can you two and three choice plates too. Have not had any problem finding parking even when we went New Year Eve.

Onion tako poke is the best on island. It is a little different than all other places. Also, very chunky cuts which I do like. Most poke made in small batches to keep it from getting saturated. Would of uploaded a picture but I ate it all. Sorry.

Haven't been here for awhile, located across from Waimalu Elementary School. They have a big selection of food and Poki take out, Hawaiian Food and Local foods. If you're in the Waimalu area, give this place a try. Aloha, Derek

Let just say I have been a customer of this establishment for many years. Long before moving to this location. However, $28.86 for a container of curry...it's time nostalgia took a back seat.

Best onion tako poke on island. Chunky cut and seasoned slightly different than all other places. Most of the poke is made in small batches to keep it from sitting in the sauce too long. The food is decent like grandma home made flavor.

Great place for takeout Hawaiian food and fresh poke. Nishime is ono! Love the beef lau au stew, just like the way my grandma used to make. They sell fresh laulau and do catering for parties too. Good location off Moanalua Road near Waimalu plaza.

The staff are super nice and quick to try and help you. The food was great and I will go again for sure. P.S. prices online are wrong. Still good prices but off by 2 or $3.

All I can say when ever I come passed this place is "Eeeeew" I tried the laulau and right off the bat it smelled and looked spoiled. I also had a friend's sister who ordered Laulau and she found a baby centipede inside, mind you this was a while ago but the fact that their still around baffles me. My grandma brought me a prime rib plate and it was cold and dry as if they had it in the freezer and just let it defrost.

So far all the food I've had was real ono but a little on the pricey side but that's happening everywhere nowadays

My 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter like to eat tako poke... specifically Marujyu's special one with ogo and their special seasoning. Tastes like shoyu, onions, red pepper, and alae Hawaiian salt or some inamona but regardless of what they use, I always wish I bought more cause my kids always eat more than I expect. I allow them to eat tiny bites so they don't choke but what amazes me is how it's always tender, from the small curled up tentacles to the large suction cup sized pieces. Pricey but worth the flavor. Spicy tako also winnahs!

This historic markets location was actually where palama store is now in Waimalu.I never really came here till I used to frequent the laundry mat and when I was owner for Dave's around the corner. This hole in the wall has local food, fresh poke and lots of aloha given!I'm addicted to their shiitake fish, Ohana special poke, long rice & boiled peanuts (eaten during long car rides )Everyone is always so friendly. Come in here for talk stores and laugh.
