My coworker did a tuna and rice bowl and it was it was more than he could finish. It was good, not sure I would go out of my way to get it again. Parking was tight. We had to ask for a second menu for some reason. There was a lot of signs emphasizing 90 minutes only - not sure why.

Highly encourage calling for reservations as walk-ins can take quite a while.
Food is excellent! Chef quickly gets sushi and sashimi orders out, and the kitchen does really well in getting hot entrees out. Would highly recommend!
Parking: In the evening, if the main lot is full, you can park by the oil change spots.

My husband and I stopped in for quick early dinner. We ordered tenzaru soba with tempura. The tempura was perfect. We were the first dinner customer and the head chef included a small appetizer of sliced cucumber with tempura fish, sweet chili sauce and mayo. It was excellent. Service was awesome and very friendly. We will go back again.

I first have to say the service was great, attentive host & waitress and the food came out fast.
The food however was terrible. By far the worst sushi I've ever had. Most of it smelled and tasted sour and off. The rolls less questionable in taste were 90% rice, a comical amount. The amount of fish "inside" was absolutely lacking, see my picture of Hawaii 5O, hardly any eel and mostly fat. My husband's role was labeled as snow crab, but in reality it was just imitation crab meat .We stopped eating halfway through afraid of getting food poisoning but didn't want to insult the nice staff so we paid the bill and left.... $87 for questionable food.
There's strange warning at the front of a 90 minute dining time... I don't know who could possibly sit in there that long. We will not be returning.

Stumble on this place looking for diner. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the deep fried baby carrot and the tempura asparagus were top notch.
The service was amazing!!!!! My server Audra was extremely polite. The restaurant reminds me of the Japanese restaurants in Japan, small and intimate. What would have really given me that nostalgia would have been seating on the floor.

Seriously good sushi. Very authentic. I highly recommend calling in to reserve a table and ask about when the sushi chef is in to sit at the sushi bar.
The food was good, and the service was great. I had a piece of salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The server did her best to take care of my table. In general, we had a good time. The only negative was that the price was more expensive than I thought. I understand that's how it is everywhere, but I wish the price would be a little lower.
Great mom and pop style joint that we hit on our way out of the island. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is honestly quite cozy - boxes for random stuff in a corner, Christmas lights hanging on the walls, posters for Japanese beers, and a very impressive liquor display behind the sushi bar. Server was very helpful in deciding what to order.
Food was absolutely delicious! I had the medium-fatty tuna, yellowtail, and salmon nigiris, along with a Cali roll, and inhaled it all despite not being super hungry...the salmon was especially delicious. Finished off with some black sesame gelato, and I was all set. One of my favorite meals during my time in Oahu. Price is in line with what you'd expect - think ~$30 before tip per person unless you want to mix and match nigiri, get dessert, so on.
