Rainbow Drive Inn at the Laulani Village Shopping Center in Ewa Beach is CLOSED and gone. In its place is "AHI & VEGETABLE". Google is taking a long time to make this edit change. If you go to Rainbow Drive Inn website this location is NOT listed.

Rainbow Drive-In isn’t here anymore. They closed with zero notice. It is now Ahi & Vegetable. Sad, there are so many better places to eat in town that I will likely never eat Rainbow Drive-In again. Remove this listing.

Ordered the Mahi Plate and got 3 tiny fish sticks. LOTTA rice and mac salad. I wont go here again. What a dissapointment and rip off. Go to Panda or L & L.

Customer service here is not that great! I didn’t know they only serve breakfast until a certain time. I tried to order spam and rice at 11:01 and the girl said no…that’s fine since after I seen breakfast is served until 11:00am! The lady who took my order this morning and gave me my food could careless about customer service…no thank you at all! Gave me my food and walked off sassy…she forgot to give me my slush float I had to ask for it and then I asked for hot sauce and said thank you when she gave it to me and she just walks off!

We were about to order but the person taking the order needs more training on how to be a better employee. She doesnt seem to like her job and her tone of voice sends you vibes to hurry up and get out of my face. So, we ended up not getting lunch and just bought slushie float. Oh the next group of girls behind us did the same. They backed off from ordering food.

Convenient location for when you can't make it to the original in Kapahulu and the air-condition is nice.

Order a hamburger steak plate. The worst I’ve ever seen. Ordered at 730pm prime time. Looked like ready made gravy. Patties paper thin and dry. Just flat out terrible. Never again. Giving rainbow drive-in a bad name. Not even hand made looks all bought and warmed up. Seriously rather eat salsburry steak. Or better yet. Go eat at loco moco down the road.

I believe this Rainbow Drive-In is relatively new because it wasn't there since I last visited two years ago. I would say the quality and portion size is pretty consistent with its original location.I called to order for a pick up on Monday at around 12. Two people could easily share one plate since it's a super heavy meal but hubby and I each got our own because he wanted the boneless chicken plate and I wanted the loco moco. For an extra 50 cents, he was able to sub his rice for some tots, which I really appreciated. Who doesn't love a good tot? My loco moco was fine - no complaints there. But the mac salad was just like its original location - swimming in mayo. Maybe next time I'll sub out the mac salad for cole slaw but my guess would be that that also has too much mayo. I didn't finish my plate so I ate it for breakfast the next day, which I would not recommend because the gravy kind of just congeals. Which brings me back to my original point - you should probably just share a plate since the leftovers aren't too great the next day. We also tried the slush, which was straight sugar but at the same time, I wasn't mad at it.Honestly, you can't go wrong with Rainbow Drive-In. While it's not super high quality, it is delicious, quick, and cheap.

First time to eat here. Thought it was like the one in Waikiki, but was dissatisfied. I ordered the shoyu chicken plate. It was totally different from the picture in that there was what looked like brown gravy on the chicken. The taste was super sweet like someone dumped sugar in it. The chicken was tasteless and didnt taste any shoyu in it.
