“My family really loves this place. Their boba teas are great, but their specialty creations are where it's at. Order off their TV screen that shows all their amazing treats. You can't go wrong with any of them.”

“What a great place! The service was outstanding—very friendly and inviting. It made my day that the barista put a cute design on my coffee 💕. The bagel was good but next time the other food options look so much better. Great atmosphere!”

“I just stumbled into this place as a tourist but it is a gem! All the food was delicious, fresh, and made to order by caring employees whom I assume were the owners. I had the bulgogi and ate off the plates of the people I was with and I wish I could try everything on the sizable menu.”

“frequently go to this place to pick up food orders. I haven't had the pleasure of eating here, but it's certainly an excellent place. The staff is amazing, always welcoming you with the greatest disposition, respect, cordiality, and kindness. There's a very young woman who wouldn't be able to scoff if someone made a mistake with their order or a drink. The lady who serves as host is undoubtedly a great employee. I hope her bosses value them highly because this place might not be as pleasant without them. Thank you for your work and effort.”

“I recently dined at Bird of Paradise Restaurant, and overall it was a pleasant and relaxing dining experience on the west side of Oahu. Located within the Hoakalei Country Club area, the restaurant benefits from a scenic setting that immediately sets a calm tone for the meal. The views of the golf course create an open and peaceful environment that feels slightly removed from the busier parts of Ewa Beach. Large windows allow natural light to fill the dining room, which adds to the comfortable atmosphere and makes the surrounding greenery feel like part of the experience.
The dining space itself has a clean, modern island aesthetic with a layout that feels spacious and welcoming. It is the kind of environment that works well for a casual lunch, relaxed dinner, or small gathering with friends or family. The restaurant strikes a good balance between casual and polished without feeling overly formal.
The menu focuses on approachable island-inspired dishes and familiar comfort foods. The seafood options stood out, highlighting the freshness that you would expect from a restaurant in Hawaii. The kitchen appears to emphasize simple preparation and balanced flavors rather than overly complicated techniques, which works well for the style of food being served. Portions were satisfying, and the presentation was neat and appealing without trying to be overly elaborate.
Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. The staff checked in regularly and maintained a welcoming attitude that made the experience comfortable. While the service felt relaxed rather than highly formal, it matched the casual resort-style atmosphere of the restaurant and contributed to an easygoing dining experience.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the visit was the setting itself. Dining with open views of the golf course adds a sense of space and tranquility that enhances the meal. It is the type of environment where guests can comfortably take their time and enjoy the surroundings while eating.
Overall, Bird of Paradise Restaurant delivers a solid and enjoyable dining experience with good food, friendly service, and a scenic location that enhances the atmosphere. While it may not aim for fine dining complexity, it succeeds in offering reliable island-style cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting.”
“One of the best coffee I’ve had on any of islands of Hawaii. I don’t need to say no names and there’s no shade to others, I just like this one better.
A white van parked along side a park serving coffee. I ordered the chocolate haupia but swapped to white chocolate. Staff is very friendly and drinks come out relatively fast.
We have family in Ewa and will absolutely stop by the next time we’re in town.”
“Was pleasantly surprised, massive portions for very reasonable price. Food is heavy, but VERY flavorful. I had the mix BBQ plate and loved every bit.
Will definitely be coming back here anytime i am out this way.”

“ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi).
From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that’s the wafu steak, and it’s absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good.
While I probably wouldn’t come back specifically for the pho, I’d come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd.
Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.”

“Our first stop in Hawaii after catching my high school basketball game was at Ramen Ya in Ewa. These restaurants offer a variety of local comfort food and you can do combos if you can’t make up your mind. We had pan fried gyoza as an appetizer. I haven’t had Mochiko chicken so thats what I ordered… plates in Hawaii usually come with white rice and macaroni salad. My son ordered the spicy ramen. The portions are huge so you have to have a big appetite or you’re taking leftovers home. The food was very good, we eat here every time we visit, my son ate here all the time when he was stationed at Hickam AFB. The restaurant is not very big and its no frills decorated which is standard for these kind of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the prices for Hawaii are good. Definitely recommend this place if you’re hungry….”

“Service was incredibly prompt, courteous, and food came out quickly. We got a bowl of black garlic ramen, sides of fries and chicken katsu, edamame, and a big bowl of fried rice for about $50. My family of 4 left stuffed and happy. Absolutely everything was prepared to perfection. Even the fries were excellent! We're so glad we stopped in!”

“fast and friendly service. perfectly prepared dishes. Taste is on point. one of my favorite Chinese spots on the island.”
“Oh how lucky I am to have stumbled across a place like this. No clue why it’s not more popular. The inside is kinda small with only one table and 4 chairs so, the atmosphere rating is a bit low but that does not take away from the absolutely delicious food. Ate lunch with my grandparents, spent about $15 per person. The guy working the counter was nice and super patient with us. The food came out in under 5 minutes, super flavorful, and the gyoza was nice and crispy. Will definitely be coming back here again! 5/5 stars!”
“I only found out about Wai Kai a month ago after a friend bought a condo nearby. Since that time, my family and I have been back numerous times to eat at all of their restaurants and attend their Farmer's market. All of the food is outstanding which is why we even went back twice in one day to eat at 2 of their restaurants. They have amazing staff from their manager, Keith, their cooks, and their waiters and waitresses. This place is a hidden gem because it's a family friendly place that has the atmosphere of Waikiki without the crime or crowds. Both kids and adults can come and have a great time whether it's doing a water sport, eating in one of their excellent restaurants, or relaxing on their lawn during the Farmer's market where they have a wide variety of food and local products to choose from.”
“Do you have a go to baker for all your party planning needs? No?….well you’ve just found your girl.
Besides baking some of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life, Brie is very responsive and provides great feedback when designing your cake to fit the theme of your party.
I’ve used her to make a cake for my grandmas’s 90th birthday, a gender reveal cake, my daughter’s 1st birthday cake, and my other daughter’s 2nd birthday cake. I’ve also ordered her cheesecake shooters and cupcakes. All were wiped out by my family who claim they aren’t dessert people but still come back for seconds whenever I order from her.”
“Nice and quiet location, good employees who take care of the customers. Ice cream and milkshakes have been great here.”
“The coffee milk tea is good. The boba was a good consistency. Music was pleasant. Staff had a great attitude and seemed in good spirits. The lack of decor and worn out furniture weren’t very nice to look at though, I’d ask for help from the staff, they probably have good ideas.”

“I like the food here. We always stop here when I visit. The kids love gyoza's here but something changed and now they don't like it. I like the funness of ordering and the variety. The other day ordered a bento box it never came, so we cancelled it. But, we loved the cups they gave the kids. I liked the tempura, the corn dish, the tuna was rich this time, I also like the egg seaweed. But I did get up twice to get help, and also it could be cleaner, we were there at lunch.”

“Soooo I agree w/ Jungee Cho. Food exceptional, service exceptional (thank you Kingston). Wife and I are in Oahu decided to try the west side, we are blessed to be able to travel occasionally and enjoy good meals..
I got the SIGNATURE DOMOKASE (prepared menu by the chef) it’s 7 course! The wifey had the Galbi platter. Now I’m telling ya, we’ve eaten a fair amount of places on the east side. This sushi was thee most tastee and freshest I’ve ever had anywhere! (didn’t need sauces or spritzes) nor did it have it. High quality and top notch! Both our meals were memorable and full of flavor only a talented chef can pull off. The waiters made their own drinks, which was a first for me… they were on point, with attention to detail.
The location is a bit off the beaten path, it’s a restaurant within a golf course club house. If this place were located in the east side near Waikiki, you’d pay double. In short, it’s worth the trip, should we come back to the “big island” they will see us again.
Who knows if management reads these things, but if you do… bravo 👏, your staff were a joy to be around and I noticed on many occasion how they would help each other out, I love to see that!”
