“Generous servings per order. Food tasty. Came to table hot but food got cold quickly. Teapot was refilled fairly quick. Usually busy but I think we caught a day & time when not so busy. I’ve been here when all tables were full sometimes they have family dinner parties there. It can be a madhouse. Family dining, casual dress, atmosphere comfortable. Friendly wait staff. “This is the first place I've gone to where the staff told me prices have gone down because they found efficiency in their operation, very honest business. Staff are kind and they serve up really delicious shrimp dumpling, half moon, and shumai. Portions are large considering how much filling they add. Highly recommended“

“If you're looking for some roast pork, chicken or duck come here. It's a pick up and go place so don't expect a place to sit unless you find some outside in the plaza. If you're looking for simple, great tasting roasted meat on rice or crispy noodles this is the place. It's simple and delicious. The menu isn't extensive. Other than those roasted meats there's also ginger chicken that I particular love.

The cost of the food here is a great value as well. Each plate I got was enough to feed 2 or 3 people. I would recommend getting a mix of the meats and share. It was all good.“

We are from Vancouver (which has no shortage of good Chinese food) and this is one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to!“

The cashier who helped me was very friendly and offered to help me figure out which portion I wanted. The tendon is so good but you have to eat it with the brisket to balance it out. Will be back again for brisket and tendon for sure.“

“Havent been here in years due to my work schedule but took a half day off from work and was craving Chinese food... Driving down Kam Highway in Aiea figure check out Chun Wah Kam in Waimalu Plaza for a plate lunch🤙

Busy lunch crowd on a weekday but managed to get a parking stall near the restaurant. Walked in a little after they opened so they were still stocking some of the hot food items.

Stand in line and wait you turn till youre called, line moved quite fast. Ordered a 2 choice plate lunch, the plates are still massive as I remember, though prices have gone up. Still worth it imo. Got a mix chow fun/ginger chicken fried rice with sweet sour fish and beef bittermelon. And 2 piece gau gee. For a little under $20 this was enough for 2 meals.

“My workplace put in a huge order and when I went to pick it up, it was obviously too much to carry to my car. Jerome and Diana took the liberty of helping me bring the boxes to my car. I was not disappointed. Good portions. Good taste. Fast and friendly service. This place has been here since the 20th century. A mainstay of pearl highlands.“

“At the end of North King Street, in the corner of the big parking (which is free) is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants I go to with my workers for lunch when working downtown.
Food is excellent and reasonably priced. For three of us, we eat like kings for under $100 (usually 5 different dishes). That includes seafood items like clam with black bean sauce and seafood fried rice.
The owner is very friendly and seating can be limited. Although, we never had to wait for seating. I noticed allot of ppl picking up take out orders, so that's another option.“

“I cannot believe it took me over SEVEN years on island to finally eat here—like, how did I miss this?! This spot in Aiea is a total hidden gem and exactly what I’ve been craving ever since my trip to Singapore. It’s similar to mala tang in that you get to pick your own veggies, meats, seafood, etc. to build your soup. The broth options are a little different though—no mouth-numbing mala like you’d find at YGF Mala Tang—but honestly, I didn’t mind one bit.

The spicy pumpkin soup base was perfection: creamy, flavorful, with just the right kick. It didn’t overwhelm my palate or leave me feeling heavy, and it tasted cleaner (less oily) than other broths I’ve tried. If you’re into creamy soups, the pumpkin base is a must-try!

Service was solid too. They refilled my water without me asking and even let me choose my seat (I was the first customer before the evening rush lol). The space was roomy, spotless, and you can tell it’s a true mom-and-pop operation—genuine care for both the food and the customers.

I’m already planning to come back this week because I cannot stop thinking about that pumpkin soup.

Oh, and if soup isn’t your thing (or if Hawaii’s heat has you craving something else), they’ve got chicken katsu with curry, stir fry, and other specialty dishes too.

“I ordered the black garlic ramen. The service was great, my food came out very quickly. It was delicious and full of flavor, very aromatic too. I could smell my dish coming out of the kitchen. Good price, only $15. Other noodle places in Hawaii charge around $20 for similar quality. Glad I came here for lunch. Will eat here again the next time I am om the area.“

“I used to get Panda at least once a week and then I put it in an order at this Panda location and they screwed up five different things on the order including no fortune cookie. I reported the five different mistakes to corporate and they offered me the cheapest Bowl meal that I could get they didn't even try to make it right so I haven't had any Panda since then, a few months. Today I was very hungry and went in to get my order in person. I waited for 5 minutes and didn't even get greeted. There was nobody in front of me as a customer for most of that 5 minutes. I walked out and I will never go back to that panda. They have caused themselves thousands of dollars because of their crappy service. I suspect their manager has no clue what she's doing“

“When Wah Kung closed at 99 Ranch I was disappointed because their food was always delicious. I saw Tiny Tadani on instagram posting about Wah Kung’s new location on Kalakaua Avenue. I just had to find out for myself if the food was still delicious. The food was excellent and Michael is still the owner with the same cook. You got to check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Specials all the time. Very reasonable, gives a lot of food and the food is sooo good. I’m definitely going back again even though I live down the west side. It’s worth it. 😋“

“Typical Panda Express in a small strip of shops next to Walmart. Strip parking is usually available but walmart lot neighbors with lots of parking. Love the super greens option as a base. Kung pao chicken and broccoli beef are always great. It would be nice to get the brown rice back.“
