“Went here because they serve roast duck, roast pork , oyster sauce chicken and cake noodles. Ordered the oyster sauce chicken over cake noodles and sie yuk Chinese roast pork. I was not disappointed. Good portions. Good taste. Fast and friendly service. This place has been here since the 20th century. A mainstay of pearl highlands.“

“Typical Panda Express in a small strip of shops next to Walmart. Strip parking is usually available but walmart lot neighbors with lots of parking. Love the super greens option as a base. Kung pao chicken and broccoli beef are always great. It would be nice to get the brown rice back.“

“Food was good and came out quickly. Portion sizes were pretty good, and cooking seemed like it was more home-style and less tourist focused, which was appreciated. I got the beef chow fun, the person that I went with got the beef rice soup.“

“Stopped here for lunch while visiting the island. Hole in the wall family run spot with a small wait. Was definitely worth it though. Did the communal eating with a couple who ordered xtra spicy compared to my regular beef noodle soup. We were all sniffling the entire time 🥲“

“The best manapuas on the island! Absolutely loved all four I tried. Amazing savory and sweet options like the char siu pork and oreo cream! The ginger fried chicken entree is something everyone has to try if you come to Honolulu! Thank you so much for the wonderful food!“

“If you're looking for some roast pork, chicken or duck come here. It's a pick up and go place so don't expect a place to sit unless you find some outside in the plaza. If you're looking for simple, great tasting roasted meat on rice or crispy noodles this is the place. It's simple and delicious. The menu isn't extensive. Other than those roasted meats there's also ginger chicken that I particular love.
The cost of the food here is a great value as well. Each plate I got was enough to feed 2 or 3 people. I would recommend getting a mix of the meats and share. It was all good.“

“This is our favorite place to eat in all of Honolulu! The friendliest service, and the food is amazing. Don’t miss the cake noodles with minute chicken and the pork with sweet and sour cabbage. Wonton soup with noodles and char siu fried rice are a must- have too. Oh and the salt and pepper prawns! This is a must-visit if you’re on Oahu.“

“We stayed here 2 years ago & liked it so much we came back! Across the street from Diamondhead Park, right on Kalakaua Avenue, it's easy to get to & just far enough off the main drag to not feel like you're in the middle of everyone on Waikiki Beach. Our room had a lovely lanai with peek-a-boo ocean views & great views of Diamondhead. We requested & received a wheelchair accessible room with plenty of room to maneuver. The room also had a small fridge & a microwave, so we could store our leftovers & a little stash of breakfast. Lovely place! Definitely recommend. 👍“

“I was visiting Oahu with my husband for a few days, and we always look for good Chinese food spots wherever we travel. Mian was amazing and definitely hit the spot. The noodles were chewy and perfect! We got the beef noodle soup, the pork dumplings, and the hot and sour sweet potato noodles. All of them were very good, highly recommend! If we lived here, we definitely would order from this establishment all of the time.“

“If you are looking for some Cantonese BBQ while in Honolulu, you must stop here and pick up some of this guys meat. I got a half pound of BBQ pork (char siu), half pound of roast pork (siu yuk), and a half a chicken (see yao gai). All of the dishes were well prepared, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection! You will not find anything to complain about when this meat is in your mouth! I went for dimsum at a nearby stall, and chanced upon Meimei. I took a chance and I discovered a master! Please visit here and enjoy! I will return!“

“You most definitely want to order ahead on those special days like valentines days. If you don't order pre-order pre pay online , you need to expect there's going to be a line waiting out the door. AND you want to have 1 driver and 1 person to pickup, (2 people in the car), because the size of the parking lot is not quite the capacity to the sometimes sudden influx of customers.“

“Wow wow wow wow wow!! The dim sum was very delicious and the sizes were astronomical! I’ve never seen taro puffs, har gow (shrimp balls/dumplings), fried shrimp balls so generous before!! The flavors were all classic dim sum flavors, very delicious. I’ve had dim sum in many places down the west coast and east coast and I’ll tell you this may be top five for me! Sit down order your dim sum on the order slip and wait for the goodness to arrive at your table. Get everything, don’t even think about it. You’ll regret not ordering more! I promise.“

“Went here with my Mom and we both loved it! I ordered the satay beef noodle soup, and I was surprised by the amount of noodle options you could choose from. Was tasty and very filling. There were a lot of Cantonese speakers there so it felt like it was pretty authentic lol. The workers were really nice and refilled our waters multiple times which I appreciated. They have a shared bathroom with some other businesses that’s outside, entrance is locked so they’ll open it for you but it’s pretty clean.“

“The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was an unexpected find. We try to find non-touristy and local restaurants. It’s about 35 minutes from Honolulu. Annika (sp?) was a wonderful server. She answered all our questions, gave perfect suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious and had leftovers (we ordered a lot). We had crab rangoons & the soft won tons as appetizers. Pat ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Plate and half Roasted Duck, which he LOVED. I ordered the Pepper Garlic Pork Chop (DELICIOUS!!) and Hawaiian Fried Rice. I asked for sau-sau-an (sp? a type of Filipino vinegar garlic dipping sauce), which added to the taste of the pork. The Ube Ice Cream was a delicious surprise. The reason for the 4 stars for food is because the fried rice was a little overcooked. If we were staying longer, we would go to it a few more times. If you get a chance to go, you won’t be sorry.“

“Basically this is a workers bfast brunch lunch deal. Mon thru Fri. Sometimes parking is iffy early early but after 830 I believe it is all g. I love the place honestly. They get choke local kine grindz so not exactly a tourist destination but a solid place to grab some take out that wasn't engineered in a lab and that also is not deadly(fast food talking to u).“

“Ordered their roast pork and char sui. It is the best! They do run out so it is best to call before heading out in the afternoon; especially on the weekend. (Learned the hardway...picked up after lunch and decided to get more. It was about 3pm - ran out! Maybe had a big take out order?)
There can be a long line and only one person who chops the meat up.“

“One of several eateries at Don Quijote. Roast duck and roast pork available hanging on display! Dim sum, plate lunch and dessert 😋. Just happen to try the char siu bao (with green onion)and it was very delicious (not fatty nor greasy) Recommended choice!“
“My family is from Hunan and can confidently say this tastes like home. I’ve never had Hunan food that even resembled anything close to the authenticity of Shiyu’s dishes. I’ve grown up eating Changsha style stinky tofu and this tastes the closest to home outside of China.“

“A typical looking traditional dim sum place. I ordered some basic dim sums to go and they were fine, but nothing special. Each dim sum is about $6. It took a little longer than expected to get my small order ready, but it wasn’t bad. Servers were very friendly.
Vegetarian options: Some options were available.
Parking: Park in the adjacent building at a dollar per hour with the first 30 minutes free.“

“Machine was not to full capacity on this visit, mostly desert type streamed only, but it didn't stop me from ordering two dozen. I will admit apprehension at first...the result, however, was amazing.
Staff here was great, at least the last two times I visited. I had a young tattooed girl that was extremely nice and courteous. The place was busy, both the manapua and food side but the line moved rather quickly. Not always the case at some if the other locations.
Parking was available even for a busy restaurant. This will now be my go to Chun Wah Kam from now on every visit to Oahu“

“Ordered the brisket and tendon. Also ordered beef broccoli and rice. Portions were huge. The only reason why we went to 99 ranch before they shut down was just to get food from here. The cashier who helped me was very friendly and offered to help me figure out which portion I wanted. The tendon is so good but you have to eat it with the brisket to balance it out. Will be back again for brisket and tendon for sure.“

Lyn, the owner, and the service staff are very nice and friendly.“

“TL;DR: This is a hidden gem in Chinatown! Authentic, old fashioned massive portion of Cheung fun for an amazing price! You won't be disappointed if you check it out!
We stumbled on this place while checking out Chinatown in Oahu.
This is not a restaurant, this is a Cheung fun factory, they make the fresh rice rolls wholesale for other restaurants!
We made soup noodles out of their plain noodles (look fun) it was incredibly fresh and delicious. The noodles held their shape, they are made in the very old fashioned Cantonese way!
We really appreciate the attention to authenticity, much better than all of the Chinatowns in other parts of the world that we have visited!
We loved our first visit so much, we returned to buy 2 char siu and 1 ha mi Cheung fun!
They are massive and for the price, it's an insane deal! They're tasty, they're fresh , they have the perfect bouncy texture! They did have small packets of soy sauce to eat with it as well!
It's just like the old fashioned, dim sum restaurant in Asia.
I don't think you can find this anywhere else!
This is a hidden gem, and we hope they will continue to be here for a long time!“

“This little “hole-in-the-wall” I’ve been coming to for years, possibly decades, but I haven’t been since new ownership took over. I was hesitant because the previous owners I’ve gotten to know over the years and they put so much effort into their food… I’m happy to report that the food is just as good!I ordered the soup noodles with pork and pickled vegetables and it was like I remembered. The soup base was delicious and the noodles cooked perfectly. I also order the salt & pepper chicken wings for good measure and those were great too!If you have a craving for HK-style cafe food, this is the spot to visit!“

“This little hidden gem is the best! We visited this centrally located spot during our trip to Oahu. It is a mom and pop owned shop with delicious, fresh, and authentic Chinese food. Our favorites were the potstickers were so fresh and crispy (they make them homemade!) and the beef and broccoli.
We went for dinner. The service was also super fast - they were super attentive so great to grab a quick bite for lunch or takeout. It is really clean inside and a very welcome environment.
Highly recommend!!“

“This place has been fueling potlucks, dinners for my family for decades and my new lunch addiction since I got back. I appreciate that they got rid of the number system and since Covid the crowds have gone down big time so everytime it's smooth sailing. Da aunties behind the counter always hook it up with big portions as always whether it's the new bowl or plate etc. While I admit I miss the furikake fried rice and the fact that spicy garlic and minit chicken is not always available and is now made to order only I do appreciate the transparency and relatively fast speed that it does come out as I can't leave without it. Also for someone who's been here forever I can't for the life of me think of why I didn't try the gau gee sooner as this is the bomb and for the price one of the best I had easily! One of the few places that refuses to change and for that will always be in my mind for all occasions!“

“Had a wonderful family meal here. The woman working did a great job taking care of the front of the house by herself on a busy Friday with 2 full 12 top tables, a couple of random walk-ins plus lots of take out orders. BYOB and BYOD (dessert) 😊 The order-ahead honey BBQ pork ribs are a MUST! We brought in our own fish and lobster, which they did a fantastic job preparing for us 😋 It's always great dining with a large group at a Chinese restaurant because you get a chance to try lots of dishes. Everything was delicious!“

“They need to make the sign of the restaurant a little bigger because everyone needs to know about this store. The portions are HUGE for the prices and the food is so good. The owners are viet-chinese and that really shows in their flavors. I highly recommend asking them what their specials are and ordering that.
It's a mom and pop shop and I support those.“
“My family and I went to WAH Kung in Mapunapuna for years, birthdays anniversaries going away and more, my dear late sister inlaw worked at First Hawaiian Bank for years and my brother would meet her there for roast duck won ton mein🙏 on a weekly basis🩷 UNCLE had been the highlight of the restaurant atmosphere service quality of food… hands down best roast duck!! “The food was so good and really hit the spot. Husband ordered the black garlic oil tantan ramen and I had a combo meal of egg drop soup, gyoza, and chicken katsu curry rice. We especially loved the ramen because of how strong the garlic flavor is.
Service was great, it wasn't busy so we got seated immediately and after ordering the food came out pretty fast. The servers were nice and polite as well.“
“Food is authentic Hong Kong Style breakfast fare - jook, beef brisket noodles, roast meats, milk tea, toast
Service is exactly what you expect from a dirty hole in the wall greasy spoon type joint, thats why I love it.

“Came here for lunch to celebrate my Mom's bff Birthday. We invited a couple of her friends as well.
We had a delicious eight course luncheon.
Honey BBQ Ribs, Singapore Noodles, Concubine Chicken, Beef Chow Fun, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Kau Yuk with Taro, Steamed Fish Fillet with Soft Tofu, and Stir Fried Ung Choy with Harm Har.
Needless to say, we had plenty of leftovers for takeout. The ladies enjoyed the food. All the dishes were prepared well and great flavor. Price was inexpensive considering we got a lot of food.“
