Very authentic and flavorful Hunan food! They have special dishes like the Changsha stinky tofu which is hard to find anywhere else.
Wow! If you like Chinese food with heat, this is the place. My gf and I went there for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. She loves spicy foods, and there are very few places that surprise her. I told her about this place and she doubted the spice level. She was wrong! The heat was great and really pleased her.

My family is from Hunan and can confidently say this tastes like home. I’ve never had Hunan food that even resembled anything close to the authenticity of Shiyu’s dishes. I’ve grown up eating Changsha style stinky tofu and this tastes the closest to home outside of China.
