“I didn’t want to go and was expecting some cheesy production but I’m glad I went. It was a great experience. You could tell the crew was passionate and enjoyed interacting with the guests and the food was delicious.”
“Hands down the best meal we had during a recent Hawai’i trip. Miro had been in our must-do list for some time and we certainly weren’t disappointed.Great cocktails to kick off and then a succession of delicious dishes, each beautifully presented and with intense flavours. Our first visit but not our last!”
“I've been wanting to try this place for over a long time now and FINALLY got a chance a chance to go!! Luckily it was early on a Wednesday night and we were able to walk in without reservations. But with only two guys working they limited the seating. Located in the a tiny intimate space with a bar and some tables I heard that the best seats are at the bar with front row seats so you can see the bartenders do their thing. We were seated on a table where we couldn't see but it's ok because we were engaged in conversation all night. Love that we all got different things and got to try each other's drinks. Everything was crafted with excellent care and beautifully and articulately presented with a short narrative about each drink. The starred ones were my faves. Round 1: ***E ho'o pau mai tai-12 year rum, spices: orgeat, fig lime, absinthe, keawe wood smoke. My friend said this was the world's best mai tai. I always wonder how anyone can make that claim unless they have literally travelled the world and tasted every maitai. They might not be wrong though, because this award winning drink was one of the best maitais I've ever had!!! Not too sweet, much more complex than your typical beach drink, and full of wonderful flavors! Masterfully made! **Kisetsu Sour/ lilikoi - changes seasonally - Nikka Coffey gin, mason pepper, yuzu, bergamot, lilikoi, lemon, tonic . This drink changes with the "seasons". Beautiful, refreshing and too easy to drink! Espresso martini- haku vodka, pandan, cynar, sesame, cold brew, whole egg. They smoke the espresso beans in front of you. My friend liked his drink more than I did. Round 2: Red Shiso smash- (not on the menu)-Toki, red shiso, lemon, yuzu, wasabon sugar, soda. Good but not my favorite. ***El Umami- tequila, mezcal, bergamot, strawberry, tomato, bergamot- lovely in looks and taste! A little sweet, a little smoky. Roma Norte- mezcal, chile verde, grapefruit, honey, black pepper, frozen apple. Super cool presentation. Good if you like smoky. ***Smoked salmon- bourbon smoked salmon, wasabi, dill oil, smoked trout roe. Soooo good! Great for sharing. Excellent servers knew we'd need more bread. Complimentary: Rice ball snacks Dessert: Ganache with yuzu- a perfect ending! Service by the guy in the leather apron and hat (sorry didn't catch his name ) was top notch. We were very well attended to. Love that they fill chilled water without having to be asked through the evening. I can see why people love this place and why it's James Beard worthy! Drinks nowadays are pricey everywhere. Theirs come with creativity, care, craftsmanship and class which give them more value than those at most other bars.”
“Love this place. Got me going back to Chinatown. The only bad thing is that they have to get rid of the attitude of hurry up and finish your drink, here's the check. Here's your hat what's your hurry?”
“Mud Hen Water had one of the more unique menus out of all the places we ate in Hawaii, with dishes that were an interesting fusion of Japanese, traditional Hawaiian, and many other cuisines. My favorite dish was the handmade pasta with venison, which was absolutely delicious and caused my wife to almost abandon her meal to try and eat mine. Hers was also fantastic, a crispy chicken dish that was tender, well-seasoned and really juicy. With excellent service, great food, and a laid-back atmosphere, Mud Hen Water is a strong recommendation for anyone in the Honolulu area looking for a unique dinner spot.”

“Visited August’s of 2022.Was my first time having French cuisine like this. I wasn’t taste buds weren’t prepared to try some new dishes like these. I guess you could say I’m ignorant to the French taste but overall a great experience. We did the 7 course meal, I wasn’t a fan of some of the courses but the steak and souffle, hands down best steak and dessert we had on Oahu. Lobster was good too. I don’t think I would do the 7 course again if I went back, but would hope I could just order that steak again lol.Paid just under $800 for two.”
“I went to a juice shop that I was interested in after hearing about it from a friend♪A juice shop...or rather a fruit shop? ?In addition to fruits, there are bottles like grandma's pickled plum juice, as well as all sorts of mysterious dried fruits, but juice seems to be overwhelmingly popular. The inside of the store isn't very large, but there are several people in line, and while you're in line, the person in front of you will give you a sample of the leftover drink you ordered in a small cup ❤︎They let me try it three times before it was my turn (lol)I ordered Power Green and my friend ordered Ginger Lemon Honey & Mint. When I asked about the difference, I was told that Power Green has the sweetness of mango and pineapple, while Ginger Lemon has the sweetness of honey. As a result, I liked the Ginger Lemon that my friend ordered, and she liked my Power Green? Both of these two have quite a Ginger effect.I'm a big fan of Ginger, so I'm happy about it, but my friend found it a little too strong. You can also adjust the amount of ginger when ordering. It looks like there are many other flavors to enjoy, so I'd like to come back a few times and try other juices ❤︎...While I say that, I always end up ordering only the things I like...?There are two sizes: small ($7) and large ($10), and the small one has plenty of volume, but if you bring a large jar , you'll get a $3 discount, making it the same price as the large one! !Next time I’m very excited to buy a jar ✨And when it comes to paying, it's better to pay in cash??Card fees will be charged for card payments. The staff are very nice and it's close to my home, so I think this will be my favorite.”

“Stopped by this British-influenced bar and restaurant upon a recommendation on my last night in Honolulu. The service was a bit cold but the drinks definitely delivered. The cheeseboard-inspired blue cheese washed cocktail was unlike anything I’ve had with a deep savouriness balanced by the pleasant tart-sweetness of pickled grapes. It’s a showstopper. I also loved the alcoholic tepache, which is pleasantly fermented and not too sweet. Didn’t try any food but it sounded good too.”

“Food so ono! Everything was delicious! We had the Eggplant, Lobster pasta, Scallops, & Beets. I never thought I'd be a Beet fan, but I couldn't get enough! I'll be back!*they have the option to order from your smartphone. Personally I don't like that, but it is efficient AND the staff is happy to take your order the good old fashioned way.”
“Best açai bowl!!! Had it at least 3 x on our trip. Great customer service, great options and great ambience. Instagram post worthy dishes. I’m not a big waffle person but added it to my last açai bowl order and wow these were also good! Our party of 4 all enjoyed our food choices. Keep up the big smiles and great work :)”

“My first time visiting and tasting this. I had a Hojicha w/nama chocolate and added a light caramel drizzle. It was very creamy with a subtle nutty flavor. The chocolate was soft and melts in your mouth. Giving a 5 star since I have nothing to compare it to yet.”
“Great food, great guy. Search up the address though, because it would be easy to miss (and THAT would be a shame if you did)2411 Kūhiō Ave., Honolulu, HI 96815”
“If you are a fan of this type of dining (Omakase),this was easily the best restaurant experience we have had in Hawaii... and tops of all time. Service was excellent - Justin and the entire team made every course of the 5 special. The food was paired with a different cocktail for each course and it was perfect. Each course was a culinary adventure. Even though it's an intimate environment and you are close to the kitchen, the team works quietly and so seamlessly it's like a work of art. The entire production was flawless. While expensive, it was easily one of best experiencee we have ever had which made it a great value. Completely and highly recommended.”

“Great vegan options with friendly, helpful staff. This is not fast food, but the atmosphere is a delightful place to relax. The food was delicious with a large menu.”
“This was my first time here. The service was phenomenal. None of the drinks seemed appealing but all looked tasty. The ahi cigar and the mushroom and cheese tart were a must try. Worth every bite. And unfortunately that is where it ends for me. I shared the beef cheeks and pureed potatoes. They were underwhelming. I unfortunately don't see a need to return. I don't think the flavors and the dining experience is wort the price paid”
“Food here was great!!!! so many options it was hard to choose one, I got the green onion pancake with provolone and bacon which was delicious. Also have to try the vanilla bean blended it was sooooooo good! Kevin was a great waiter, so nice and attentive!!Parking: Lots of spots”
“BEST donuts I've ever had! I don't usually go for a plain glazed donut, but the honey glazed donut was melt in your mouth delicious. The pineapple filled was also great. This place was an amazing find and I highly recommend!”

“I came here for dinner today and so glad we found this place! Loved that they offered different kinds of dish to accommodate our big family with all different taste. They had various sushi, maki rolls and variety of kitchen food. We got stuffed jalapeno, spicy kimchi udon, California for the kids and got sushi sashimi deluxe combo and few rolls for the adults.”

“This place is amazing! A hidden gem. the drinks give speakeasy vibes which is awesome and the bartenders I had were amazing!! Dylan and Bre were so great, they work almost every day so ask for them and take care of them!! They a masters behind the bar, and were so great! We went in a little “earlier” in the night and there was live music which was fantastic but as the night went on it got busier but not in a bad way! Definitely check it out.”
“The staff was very nice and helpful. Even though the place was busy they were very attentive and friendly. The food was creative, excellent, and well-suited for family-style eating. Prices were not outrageous, especially for hawaii.”
“All the meats have very high quality. Highly recommend the seasonal specialties like hearts & cheeks. Kimchi is also very tasty. For ppl who don’t like fatty wagyu, washu set would be your best choice.”
“Dinner was great except the prime rib tasted like the griddle there was a toxic taste which was not good. Everything else was great. The show was fun and entertaining.”
“We went here for my spouse's birthday dinner. Upon walking in, one hostess was exceptional with a birthday greeting, and we were excited. The live music was amazing, and we had a great table right by it. Cocktails were spectacular and I loved the drink menu... bar staff was was excellent. My spouse got the Chinese-style mahi mahi, and it had incredible flavor! I ordered the rib eye; while cooked well, it was mostly fat unfortunately and I enjoyed the mahi mahi much more. Service was pretty good although I would've appreciated the server just acknowledging my spouse's birthday.”
“This place is SO good! We got the Don buri chen, Miso smoked pork omelette, AND the cornflake French toast which we had "meh" hopes for but my goodness order it!?We ate so much yet didn't feel disgustingly full. The food is great and worth the price! Which isn't that crazy compared to other places here on the island.Service was also friendly and attentive.”
“I have been here several times over the past year for "high tea." It is always amazing, from the food & service to the beautiful ocean and courtyard views. We celebrated our anniversary with friend from out of state and everything was wonderful. We all chose the Moana Classic Tea with finger sandwiches, sweet offerings, tropical sorbet and tea (we each chose a different flavor). A few of my favorites (this time) were the Ratatouille Tart and the Smoked Salmon Mousse Blini, but I really enjoyed them all.Our friend has a food allergy and our server was very accommodating. He made other suggestions to some of the sandwiches and all of the "exchanges" were fabulous. Each time we have been, the menu has changed, although most of the tea's are the same flavors (only 2 or 3 have changed). The quality of the food is the same (5 stars)I would definitely suggest Moana Surfer Rider - The Veranda at the Beachhouse for all of your special occasions.Parking: The Valet parking is free with validation of "High Tea" service. Otherwise, there is parking across the street at International Market Place garage (I am not sure what the current rates are).”
“What a perfect meal! Service, views, and amazing food. Highly recommend! My husband cannot stop talking about the tomato soup. And... save room for the heavenly coconut cake...the best!”
“Laid-back decor, cozy atmosphere with lots of sunlight in the morning. Breakfast were excellent!! Vibrant colors, perfectly seasoned; absolutely delicious.Very friendly and efficient services.Highly recommended to all.”
“A must-try spot in downtown Honolulu for visitors. Long lines so be prepared to wait 30-45min. Staff is friendly and everything is prepared fresh. Bakery is of high quality and coffee is local.”
“This is a fabulous little sushi restaurant tucked away off the beaten path. All the rolls and poke were delicious. The staff was attentive and informative about all the wonderful options. The only downside was that it was very warm in the restaurant. Each breeze that we felt come through the door was very welcomed.Out of the 5 sushi restaurants we ate at in Honolulu, this was definitely the freshest and best we had during our visit!”
“This place is a gem. Make sure you come early because this place is always full. And for good reason. The Tonkatsu was out of this world, I loved the entire meal. They have definitely perfected their craft. The service was top notch and efficient. I recommend everyone to come here.”
“Delicious food, great service! The signature martini (pineapple & coconut) were too easy to drink (a bit steep at $19ea!). The dragon roll was amazing, as were all our entrées (Butterfield, based short ribs & whole snapper). I appreciate the half servings available for some entrées (I didn't even finish my whole dish).”
“We had not been to Michel's for 30 years and still the setting cannot be beat. The waiter assigned to our table was busy so two other waiters, both named Michael, came over at different times to speak with us. They were personable and knowledgeable. I wanted foie gras as an appetizer and the chef was very accommodating. We shared three appetizers; foie gras, oysters, and escargot which were all first rate. Our entrees were Beef Rosinni and steak and lobster, again they did not disappoint. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is the elegance it used to have has dropped a notch and excluding the two Michaels, the wait staff lacks the finesse that they all had previously. It is still a very good restaurant and I will go back again.”
“Absolutely loved this place! The 50th state fried chicken is to die for, probably the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy, tender and the sauce is a delicious blend of sweet and salty. Our cocktails were pretty tasty too, and the chocolate soufflé/ lava cake is heavenly.”

“I booked based on price and proximity to our hotel (walking distance). I didn't realise that was in the middle of a mall, which is barricaded off. It was a bit odd that people could look down at the show for free when we paid have our seat there. In saying that for interactive, my daughter my daughter love to trying all the different things, the service was amazing and it was a great experience in showing off all the cultures around the Pacific. The food was really good, as someone with dietary I wish I checked in the lead up what I could and couldn't eat. But it was all pretty delicious. The two free drinks are just soft drinks so make sure you bring money for the bar if you want to buy a drink noting they don't take cash. There was a real build to the fire aspect of the show and it was a really fun evening.Thank you for a great night, it's been the highlight of our trip so far.”
“Our overall experience here was wonderful. From the greeter who sat us, to check out. Also, Gemma was great! So sweet and attentive. All of the staff made our dining experience wonderful here. The food was prepared well. The eggs were done perfectly. And the meal itself was priced right for a touristy area.”
“We tried there only once, but we will definitely go back again! There is a pizza place that has great fresh pizzas! We also tried some Chinese food and ice cream! They were all great! The only shortcoming is I wish they had more sitting places.”
“Hawaii is so sweet cute and human life in Hawaii is good vibes and good times...gift shops and stores with snacks..Hawaii is a place for me and I feel connected to Hawaii..I wish I lived 6 hours away..thanks Hawaii”
“5 stars because they turned out delicious food using minimal space and kitchen equipment. I had beef pho and the Special ban mi. Everything was tasty and fresh, portions were ample. Staff very friendly. Yeah my go to Ala Moana viet grinds.”
“When u suddenly Wake up in an arm full of drool ? not knowing u fell asleep and the Nana at the register says, I give ur cookies to another customer but give me ³minutes Niiiiice And ?... They always take care ?”
“Grateful Gail's personality is 100% When they decide to invent AI cashiers, they need to replicate Gail's. I'm over 55, and I have been on the island for over 4 years I have never experienced anyone who enjoys their job and enjoys people the cashier next to her had to remind her that it was time for her to go home she was enjoying her job so much she was unaware of what the timeclock was saying we all dream of having lots of employees like this grateful and full of gratitude my goal is to always show lots of aloha here forever #bigfunglasses”
“We had breakfast here when wanting a break from resort breakfasts and when in a hurry. Quick service at drive-thru and friendly. Love their croissant breakfast sandwiches.”
“Lunch for my niece in Honolulu, Hawaii...I saw that the annual Halloween buckets just arrived, so I went to the nearest McDonald's to get a Happy Meal. This location on Nimitz Highway is easy to spot. It has a drive-through and is two-stories tall. I entered the relatively clean restaurant, stood in the pleasantly air-conditioned environment, and ordered on the app.The Happy Meal comes with two small sides. I selected the sliced apples as the other side to the extra small French Fries. Even though the app makes the customer choose a beverage, an empty cup is given - so the customer fills the cup with whatever soft drink anyway. I didn't know what kind of sauce my niece wanted with her Chicken McNuggets - she said she was fine with anything. I also didn't know that she preferred Sprite. Oh, well... now I know!...and she let me keep the green Halloween bucket! LOL! Other locations will have the orange, white, or purple buckets - for trick-or-treating... or knick knacks! Have a safe and fun holiday season!”
“Take out only. We ate there twice. Food was good. Good selection of food. Only place in neighborhood open 24 hours. No seating. Expect to wait longer than fast food chain since food is cooked for each order.”
“Window clerk was Impatient when I didn't understand the difference between the breakfast comboand the platter. She was apparently getting frustrated with my ability to you understand her and B came Rude Telling me that she already explained what the platter was and keptinsisting on giving me a Platter”
“Came here to grab a coffee drink with boba. It was typical coffee and the boba is up to standard. Service was quick. Everything is clean. Bathroom doesn't need to get key from the staffs which is convenient.”
“Hit the spot! This one I have to give credit to the kids. I'd had quite a day and wasn't excited about putting anything together in the kitchen, so when they suggested it, I ran with it and found myself happily surprised that it was exceptionally delicious. I don't intend to do it all the time, but I was impressed at how enjoyable this was. And I scored points with the kids!”
“Parking: Ample size lot and not shared with ither businesses, from what I see.Kid-friendliness: Clean, friendly employees, quick service, quiet and relaxing.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking by entrance with automatic door.”
“Nice food, typical McDonalds, but no restroom and was very slow service when I visited for the first time on a Sunday night. About 10 minutes wait to pickup 2 meals. Not normal..but a good location near the beach.”
“Treasure shop, I ordered a roll 30$, the lobster taste good, and the bread is delicious, the price may be a little high, but it is understandable because it is lobster, not ”

“First time having brunch in this restaurant and it was beyond delicious! My girls loved the pancakes! And the banana French toast is a must! There’s a waiting list, but trust me it’s well worth it! It’s very family friendly and kid friendly! I love how they are very considerate with kids! We will definitely come back! 2nd time visiting the island and so far the best restaurant we’ve tried ?”

“Stopped by Sweet E’s Café this morning and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the omelet, and my friend tried the French toast—both were amazing, made with top-notch ingredients. The café itself has a great ambiance, cozy and welcoming. The staff was on point, too: attentive, friendly, and quick to keep our coffee cups full. Definitely left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend giving it a try!”
“Food and service was awesome. I can't stand burritos that are full of rice or potatoes. This isn't one of those. The hangover burrito was awesome! We also had the the B.E.A.S.T. and the croissant French toast. They were all amazing!”
“Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life! I got the coconut and mango soft serve, with condensed milk and macadamia nuts. Staff so friendly and nice, very helpful. Fabulous experience!!!”

“My favorite place to get coffee! Cute little shop with welcoming workers who are very kind and efficient. This shop also has a cute outdoor seating area. Every coffee shop I go to, I always try the iced mocha but nothing compares to bean about town's iced mocha! I don't know what's in it but it's so addicting”
“Arrived with a reservation at 18:00 when it opens. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant may be filled with customers lining up when you arrive. The whole store is lively, the customer service is efficient, and the atmosphere alone makes you feel like THE Japan. You can see some of the food being prepared from behind the counter, but it seems like each person is in charge of it, and each dish is beautiful in a good way, probably because the staff are working hard at it. Even when it's crowded, the service is stable. I think you can get an idea of the taste by looking at the photos posted by the reviewers, so I will omit it. When I look at the photos, I tend to forget that this place is Owafu. Not Japan. Very cost-effective and delicious. Thank you for the treat.Reserved a table for the 6:00 PM opening. Given the possibility of the place filling up with customers already in line upon arrival, making a reservation is highly recommended. The entire atmosphere inside exudes energy, and the staff's efficient service gives off that unmistakable Japanese vibe. The kitchen is somewhat visible behind the counter, and each staff member seems dedicated to their assigned tasks, resulting in beautifully presented dishes that reflect their commitment. Despite the bustling crowd, the service remains consistently reliable. I'll refrain from commenting on the taste, as you can gauge that by looking at everyone's posted photos. Looking at those images, it's easy to forget – this is not in Japan; it's in Oahu. Exceptionally cost-effective and delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal.”
“THE BEST yogurt smoothie you’ll ever have. Love that they use the Asian yogurt type (not the American kind, like Greek yogurt). The purple rice is super chewy and the perfect consistency”
“I have missed Leonard's Malasada's since moving to Colorado! An absolute MUST visit to get these delicious treats! They always come out piping hot and fresh. Our wait was only about 5 minutes max. We get the original but they have some different fillings if you'd like. They to plan your visit accordingly! This spot has a very tiny parking lot and it is one way only. There are plenty of parking areas around if there are already a ton of cars waiting.”
“What a wonderful find. Yummy samples and helpful and friendly staff. The baked goods are delicious whether you're gluten free or not. They have both sweet and savory choices. You need to go here. They saved 2 turkey sandwiches for us to pick up on our way to the airport. We'll be back!”
“The menu is extensive so I asked for suggestions but since no one speaks English they just pointed at a few items and I said yes because life is short and it was awesome. The only downside is that when I go back, I won't remember what I had so fingers crossed that I try something new.”
“I've been to Hawaii twice, and I've eaten here 11 times. It's the best udon I've ever had. The portions are well sized and there are several options and sides. The staff is incredibly hospitable. The price is fair for the quality and amount of food. I will be coming back every time I visit this beautiful island.Parking: Paid parking is around the area, but not directly where the restaurant isWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible, it's on the ground floor”
“You won't believe the amazing 60th birthday party my uncle had at this place! The food and ambiance were absolutely incredible! We had live Hawaiian music played by my boyfriend, and our entire family danced the hula all night long! And let me tell you, that roast pig was to die for! It was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside...you have to check out the video I took! The location is unbeatable, right by the ocean and next to the Prince Hotel in Waikiki. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this incredible experience!”
“The best Mexican food on O'ahu! The tacos and chimichanga were great, and there are tables to sit at. The owners are also very friendly. The hours on Google are not always correct, but check their Instagram to see their hours.”
“Treasure shop, I ordered a roll 30$, the lobster taste good, and the bread is delicious, the price may be a little high, but it is understandable because it is lobster, not ”
“I have been here several times over the past year for "high tea." It is always amazing, from the food & service to the beautiful ocean and courtyard views.

Tempura Kiki
“A pleasant surprise! I just ordered a bunch of a la carte tempura veggies and chicken. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Even the simple pickled salad they brought out when we first sat down was perfect. Polite, friendly, quick service. I felt like I was back in Japan!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“The service was great, very friendly and professional. Food prep was fast and the food was great. I'd definitely bring my family back.Kid-friendliness: They have chicken and french fries and they were very friendly to my grandkids”
“Yummy! We had the jumbo beef dogs! Delicious!!!! All different types of toppings! I kept walking by his stand and finally tried him! So glad we did! He's right by the Hilton Lagoon, by the harbor! Worth it! Try it, you'll love it!”
“They excel at everything. They make the best burger I have ever had in my life and make it with precision every time I get it. I don't think they make an item that I don't love. Friends all agree. It's where we go for celebrations. I love their coffee.Vegetarian options: They make all food excellent. However they really do their best with meat and fish.Wheelchair accessibility: They were able to accommodate my wheelchair. It's tight but folks help when asked.”
“Great food at a cost! It was delicious from start to finish. A bit pricey but you will not regret it.Parking: Hard to find the parking lot and valet only. They only had one guy running like a chicken without a head. Pretty chaotic!”
“Nice place for breakfast. I had the griddle omelet while my wife had the special with kalua pork. We shared a side of corned beef hash. Very good and reasonably priced.”
“So this is a little harder to find so I added photos of the surroundings. We almost went into Dave’s across the way on the main road but decided to commit to finding this place and glad we did. There are actually several ways to get here but Google maps will take you right near the other shop which is on the other side of the road. You have to go to the little market place which you’ll see through the parking area there that I believe is part of a hotel. If you come from this way you just walk back there and to the left where the shops dead end, look left and you’ll see the flags saying shave Ice.If you look where the pin actually is, not the walking directions, you will actually see alleyways that lead right to the marketplace and that is where the shop is.We got the passion fruit one that comes with both ice cream and condensed milk. It was really really good for a sweet cold treat on a hot day. It took the 2 of us eating it somewhat quickly to take it down before it melted too quickly, and we ended up feeling satisfied having split the one.Highly recommend, will return.”
“absolutely loaded with flavor!I got the crunchy wrap as you can see in the picture with guac and spicy.10/10 an absolute banger!I am planning to get another taste if this plant based food at least one more time before leaving this island!dont be fooled by my bad photography, this food is 100% worth checking outas of 2/23/24 you can get away with spending $15 per person for a food and drink combo and be satisfied for a night of touring the shops in the area and get a break from the crowds in the current secluded locationI stumbled upon this gem on accident I dont know how to give directions to the location other than google.”
“Went here for lunch the other day with the work buddy. It's been a while since I ate here, so wanted to check if it still had the ono grinds. I didn't eat breakfast, so I decided to the BEAST BOWL. Wish we could've got some midday libations but we were still working. It wasn't that crowded when we were seated but by the time we left it was getting full. Got my BEAST BOWL, oh my words it had the meats, the umami, the meats, the noodles, the meats, the gooey egg, did I mention the MEATS. According to work buddy, I could've just said some of the meat and had it later with rice as snack or something, but why would I do that, you needs to eat all of the MEATS. I mean buggah was very filling and I am bulking for the summer. Hah. Anyways, the brisket and short ribs were soooo tender. The oxtail won ton, wrapped meaty goodness. I shouldn't have eaten it all, but I had to. Broth was nice and rich. KANAK ATTACK. It's a good thing we walked from the office, so the opu had chance for digest all the MEAT. I forgot the name of what work buddy got, but she liked and had some self control and saved some of her dish for snack time later. All in all, they still have the good eats. Staff was friendly and attentive. Place was chill and good vibes.”
“Was there in march...loved the food and had to buy t shirts...if you visit Honolulu you HAVE to stop here to eat..it is 100% worth it. We got the fried chicken and rice bowl”
“The two types of spring rolls, papaya salad, and pho were all very delicious? You can also request it without MSG, and if you do that, you'll get a vegetable soup pho, but it's surprisingly rich and tastes better than regular meat soup with MSG! The inside of the store was clean, but I was a little concerned about the smell...If you're sensitive, it might be best to sit near the entrance since it's open. The staff are all friendly and the restrooms are clean, which is great for families with children, and of course there are high chairs!Kid-friendliness: It's a very kid-friendly restaurant, with high chairs and water, forks, and plates ready for the kids.Children love noodles!”
“Best tacos! Something so special about how they make them, I believe it’s the seasoning of the meat and the salsas. And the extra care put into making sure food is fresh and hot. They give you a good amount of food so you are always left satisfied! A must try!”
“Location is great Free parking is awesome Selection of booths are minimal but decentMore booths would be greatFresh produce selection was decent. Could be better but the prices and quality is really goodFood booths are good but need more to choose from I definitely recommend Pets are welcome unlike California Farmers Markets”
“Got off the cruise in Honolulu for a day and went to the Ala Moana mall for lunch, looking for something different not a burger are some other fast food and cane's was there. Got some chicken fingers and a lemonade.went a burger wont do try cane's chicken with dipping sauce”
“My little sister enjoys a BR ice cream cake for her birthdays. This year we bought a cake and tried to divide it up at a table right after purchasing. One of the workers noticed the struggle and.came to the rescue to slice it up for us! We were so greatful!Parking: Parking is tight in limited number of stalls.”
“Thai food in a sports bar.I ordered the Thai green chicken curry medium spicy it was delicious. The service was great and food was tasty. Will definitely come back.”

Bar Maze
“If you are a fan of this type of dining (Omakase),this was easily the best restaurant experience we have had in Hawaii... and tops of all time. Service was excellent - Justin and the entire team made every course of the 5 special. The food was paired with a different cocktail for each course and it was perfect. Each course was a culinary adventure. Even though it's an intimate environment and you are close to the kitchen, the team works quietly and so seamlessly it's like a work of art. The entire production was flawless. While expensive, it was easily one of best experiencee we have ever had which made it a great value. Completely and highly recommended.”
“This is an amazing place for Japanese food. As a vegetarian I am always limited to options at Japanese restaurants. This place is completely vegan. The food was delicious and service is quick. They are always quite crowded.”
Fine Dining
“I didn’t want to go and was expecting some cheesy production but I’m glad I went. It was a great experience. You could tell the crew was passionate and enjoyed interacting with the guests and the food was delicious.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Murayama, and it was an experience I'm eager to share. My partner and I indulged in the Japanese omakase, which comprised ten meticulously crafted courses. From the very first bite, it was evident that each dish was prepared with passion and precision, featuring the freshest ingredients. One of the highlights was the matcha, which was exceptionally smooth and a perfect palate cleanser between the courses. Although there were some fish whose names I was unfamiliar with, every piece, whether served hot or cold, was a hit to our taste buds. The omakase was reasonably priced, offering great value for the quality and variety of the courses. A pro tip for future diners would be to opt for less rice with your sushi to save room for the full range of offerings, though it's worth noting the sushi rice itself was delicious. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff adding to the overall positive experience.I wholeheartedly recommend Sushi Murayama to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Japanese dining experience. It's a solid five stars from me, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”
“Literally just ate here an hour ago with my buddies and this was hands down one of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. What we thought at first was a Michelin-style experience, eventually became what I can only describe as a hang out among friends and we loved every moment of it. To be able to drink with Master Aung made the overall experience feel all the more intimate and enjoyable. You will not be disappointed with the quality of food that Master Aung serves. It’s as fresh as it gets. My only recommendation, bring liquor for Master Aung, not beer. Although he doesn’t like beer, Master Aung still graciously drank with us ?. My buddies and I will definitely return next time we’re in Oahu. Caviar and Uni all day baby!!!!”
“The best meal we have ever had was at Hihimanu. The decor is understated, but Chef Ray is a superstar. The meal is a robust sensory experience and each dish is complex and beautifully presented. It was truly an elite dining experience with fresh fish from all over the world, imaginative flavors and interactive elements, and friendly service. Worth every penny!”
“True culinary adventure. It pushed my comfort zone to try new things, and I experienced some great new flavors. I highly recommend. The music by Ben Vegas was perfect.”
“Other than for the fact that the outside tables are located adjacent to the front driveway of the property, the place is excellent, and definitely will be a go-to restaurant in the future. The wines by the glass list, moreover, is reasonably varied and the prices are good.”
“We enjoyed the dinner tremendously. Service was great. Food was great. Chose the wine pairing. The wine maestro took time to explain each wine selection in some details. The whole experience was very memorable. Will definitely do again.”
“This was a fun show! The first 30m are pre-show activities. Kids (and adults) and make leis and banana leaf crowns. There was a little music and drinks being handed out.The main event was a multipart show which encompassed the various islander population heritages which were all performed by the same cast. The dinner was okay, nothing fancy, but certainly miles better than traditional hotel or beach restaurant fare. The culmination was [of course] the fire knife dance and military appreciation(s).”
“Amazing experience! The food and the service was on point! To drink I had the pink Cadillac which tastes great! We started with a wedge salad, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and the fried rice. Our entrees were the lobster pan roast, prime rib petite filet with taro dinner rolls. We ended the meal with the taro bread pudding and ice cream which paired well together. So I highly recommend getting the 2. All in all 5 ⭐️ meal!”
“Outstanding experience during our trip to Hawaii. They offer a full plant-based/vegan meal which was very tasty. Even my partner who sometimes eats meat/seafood didn‘t miss anything. Interesting natural wines. The service was also friendly and attentive. They took care of my special diet requirements. We had a great stay, this restaurant definitely stood out during our three weeks in Hawaii.Remark: Google‘s description „modern French cuisine“ is a bit misleading, it is a fine-dining restaurant but it rather serves Hawaiian-inspired, partly local fusion cuisine.Vegetarian options: They offer one full vegan set menu.Dietary restrictions: I had the request to leave our seaweed/high iodine food which was met.”
“Online menu looks limited but didn't affect the dining experience which was fantastic! Every dish was delicious and expertly prepared. Preston was the perfect server- knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly and efficient.”
“Amazing Omikase experience! A friend and I did the sake pairing as well. Heavy pours and amazing quality sake. We both requested to not have any fruit sake samples so the host had other options to try, some which were made by friends back in Japan! I would recommend to any sake lover who also wants to have a great meal!”
“I was looking for an omakase spot last minute to top off my solo trip to Hawaii and Sushi Sho was by far the highest, most recommended place that I saw. I was somehow luckily able to snag a reservation for 1 and although I was a bit hesitant because of the price tag, knowing how difficult it is to get a spot here, I thought it was a sign I could not miss out, and I'm so glad I did it. From the thoughtful service to the carefully and delicately crafted dishes, Sushi Sho has become my all time favorite omakase experience. We had a total of 27 courses including dessert and it was such a delight tasting each dish not knowing what to expect, but genuinely enjoying all these flavors in a new way. The staff make sure that your dietary preferences are met so that you can have a completely well rounded meal that you will enjoy. Thank you Sushi Sho for an amazing time, this will def be one of the most memorable experiences of my Hawaii trip.”
“Great sushi! First timer at Morio’s and it was a fun experience. We brought a few bottles of sake so we could share with the staff and with Morio. Omakase was excellent, super fresh fish and perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Will definitely be going back when we can get a reservation!”
“Wonderful experience! Food was exceptional and service was perfect. I recommend highly. Next time will do the omakase, but the nigiri and sashimi was perfect! Definitely worth it!”
“Laid-back decor, cozy atmosphere with lots of sunlight in the morning. Breakfast were excellent!! Vibrant colors, perfectly seasoned; absolutely delicious.Very friendly and efficient services.Highly recommended to all.”
Cheap Eats
“A very cute cafe with a nice mix of different flavored drinks! Super cozy and I can see myself definitely being able to get some work done. The service was nice and answered all the questions I had for them. The drink itself tasted nice but I got a normal drink. I'll definitely try a different drink next time.”
“Probably one of the best if not best breakfast spots we had on our Hawaii trip. Low key spot with delicious food with great ingredients. Not a huge menu but would definitely come back again (ate here twice in one week) Had the cuban breakfast and the ham & cheese sandwich. Both delicious.Ice lattes were good as well. Plus they were a good ole American portion size.”
“Walked over an hour to get here but it was worth it. They were super friendly. The burrito was big and delicious! A great price too. Definitely delicious Mexican food!”
“Get the fries.I mean, get anything it’s all good, but get the fries. I don’t think I’ve had better fries on island. The stuff is super friendly and funny. I usually just order and run off, but I actually stick around a lot here.Definitely recommend!”
“My husband loves their shrimp and grits. We had breakfast there once and returned for dinner. Food is good. I believe the husband is running the establishment with his wife and when we had dinner, their young kids were there too. Daddy was doing the cooking while mommy was mining the customers and they both the children. This made my heart smile. Trying to run a business with young kids, not easy. Family core, much respect.”
“Delicious acai bowl!! This was my first time trying acai and wow this place didn't disappoint. The acai was perfect with the fruit, and granola on top. Definitely check this place out. The price wasn't bad either for the portion size. My husband had a smoothie which was also great!”
“Guava Smoked has such an interesting story behind it. The owners would hike around on the island and harvest the invasive strawberry guava wood that's on the island and use it to smoke their meats. The result is flavorful, sweet smelling meat and it is seasoned to perfection. We ordered the kalbi, spicy pork, and butterfish collar as well as a side of pipikaula (family recipe). All of them were lip smacking good and has a nice chew. I would recommend the spicy pork and butterfish collar for everyone to try.We ordered the plate and was able to swap out the rice for homemade kimchee, salad and a mac salad.Smoked meats all the way!Parking: Parking is a recessed lot from the street, it's around in the back”
“Blondie's is the best vegan restaurant on island in my opinion. It's the most similar to vegan comfort food that can be found in places like Portland and is really unlike any other food available on O'ahu. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is always top notch (Cybil is the absolute sweetest!). The restaurant is run by a mother-daughter duo and my heart is warmed every time I think of this. Even my non-vegan friends and family enjoy the food! Blondie's also happens to make my favorite smoothie of all time—the pipeline paradise. I have something of a smoothie obsession and I literally dream of this smoothie constantly. Highly recommend giving Blondie's a try!”
“Protect this place at all cost. Best Poke I have had ever!!!! Tasted so fresh, everything in my bowl was the best quality. Every place in Denver just doesn’t add up.”
“My all time favorite spot for poke I've tried several in the area and Ono is the bestThe fish is always fresh and their sauces are on point (not too salty or spicy)”
“Came here for lunch on a weekday. It was bustling but efficient.I got the club sandwich and I have to say, pretty damned tasty!! I love a good club sandwich. This had fresh tomatoes, fresh soft avocado, nice meats, and the bacon was perfect with just the right amount of crunch. The bagel it came on was delicious as well. It came with a tiny salad which had very fresh greens.I'd come back here in an instant! The place is kept spotless and service was friendly and professional.”
“This place was bomb! I love how it comes with mochi and fruit. Next time I'll ask for extra mochi. I got a small mint & chocolate. I could have used more chocolate. The lady was really nice. Plenty of space here to eat your dessert for groups of people.”
“Great place for a delicious snow cone, full Hawaiin style! Parking is terrible, but a few loss calories on a walk for a snow cone is definitely worth the price! 1 regular is good for my wife and kids together!”
“Pretty good food late at night. Great catfish sandwich and fries It's right next to an adult entertainment/strip club place or whatever so that might scare you. They also ask you to park next to it which I didn't want to do so i just walked around the corner and ate it in my car. Expect police presence or stings or whatever sketchy stuff goes around here. Would order delivery from here though since it's good and I think it's safer.”
“We were starving and found this restaurant. Staff are so cheerful and give you their menu recommendations. Food is large portions and has infused with incredible favors. Kimchi and Tofu was ”
“This place is a gem.

“My husband and myself loved it so much we came back 3x over during our week stay on Oahu. The first day we tried the poke platter and honestly they were all so great but the winner for us was the wasabi furikake AND my husband HATES wasabi. The sushi rice is magical and all the toppings are a must. This will forever be a staple stop for us during our yearly trips. Definitely worth the venture into the island.Thank you for such a great foodie experience.Parking: There are a couple spots behind but very limited. You can luck up with street parking but mostly we parked across the street at Safeway and ran across.”
“Literally just ate here an hour ago with my buddies and this was hands down one of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. “I cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant. The Catupiry cheese something I have never tasted before and it's out of this world. The dough is exquisite and it's slightly fermented so it's not too heavy in your belly. The dessert pizzas are so good and also unlike anything I have ever eaten. The restaurant has amazing ambiance and the service was great too. Do yourself a favor and try the Brazilian style pizza when you're in Waikiki. They'be even imported the pizza oven. It's something special.”
“Excellent fresh local poké and local style plates. They are always adding new specials and recipes to the menu. Service is always fast and friendly. Try the Kimchee ahi poké you won't regret it!”

“The service was great, very friendly and professional. Food prep was fast and the food was great. I'd definitely bring my family back.Kid-friendliness: They have chicken and french fries and they were very friendly to my grandkids”
“Blackened Mahi Mahi was wonderful. Best Mai Tai in Waikiki. Our bartender McKenna has a great personality - really fun - and her drinks were heavenly. Will definitely come here again.”
“The food is always great And always craving Can't wait to visit again food is fresh to order and also is brought out to you when there's a line unbelievable service with a smile The late night stop beats the same old fast food It's fast but real food what we want”
“The store is in a courtyard with hanging lights and many benches to seat down. It's a nice, tucked away place to enjoy your cold snack in the evening.I recommend getting the matcha and sakura!”
“I’m from Malaysia and the food that ordered from here was simply awesome. The best was the chicken briyani and dhal. A go to place for Indian food. The cashier dude was a gem in taking our order.”

“We ate at Uncle Bo's Pupu bar in Waikiki on the second to last night of our 3 week stay, how I wish we had discovered this place sooner! The food was amazing we ordered 4 dishes off the Pupu menu which came out slowly allowing us to savour each dish, service was super friendly and for once we did not feel rushed to finish our meals and move on, which is how we often felt in the restaurants on the main Waikiki drag! Thanks Uncle Bo's we will definitely be back and will definitely tell our fellow Kiwis about your fab restaurant. Much aroha.”
“Other than for the fact that the outside tables are located adjacent to the front driveway of the property, the place is excellent, and definitely will be a go-to restaurant in the future. The wines by the glass list, moreover, is reasonably varied and the prices are good.”
“Parking: Located on Waikiki Beach's main street, it's difficult to find a parking spot.I visited around 3pm and ate right away without waiting. The interior of the restaurant is small and there are few tables, so the wait may be long during lunch or dinner time. It had a clean, modern atmosphere and there were about 3 people making sushi.* If you have a local ID, there is a 10% discount! It's not necessarily recommended, but it's worth going if you're looking for a place that's reasonably tasty and has decent portions.-Sushi: It was disappointing that the rice was a bit sticky, but overall, it was all delicious and the portion was not small. Since it's Hawaii, I felt it wasn't bad for this price.-Soba (side): Because it is a side menu, the portion is small, but the price is not cheap. The cold soba had a lot of cucumber flavor and the tsuyu flavor wasn't that great, but the hot soba was still edible.-Salmon Dong: The rice was served as sushi, so it was disappointing that the rice was sticky, but the amount of salmon was just right and delicious.”
“Wow! This is a hidden gem that I'm glad we came across. I'm embarrassed to say during our 4 night stay I ate a total of 3 sandwiches and 1 pizza from here. Yeah, it's that good. I'm hungry just writing this.”
“Angela is our "go-to" server behind the bar. She does an outstanding job of taking care of us. She is pleasant, professional, and always on her "A-game." Great food and great fun! Jesse”

Chiba-ken
“I'm a recent transplant to the Ala Moana/Ena area so the first thing I did was scout the neighborhood for food options. Luckily, the likes of Aloha Kitchen, Sunny's, and Food Pantry are just steps away.Even better, whenever the craving for Japanese food hits, Chiba-ken is literally 200 steps away ? I've been here about 10x now and it's always a great experience. The food is good but I like the service and the vibe even better. Unlike a lot of restaurants, there doesn't seem to be a server assigned to your table/section - anyone that walks by is constantly checking on you. I've had up to four different people taking my orders and serving the food but there's never been a mix-up.And because it's so close to Waikiki, it looks like it's a mix of locals and tourists. In the late evening/night, it's always packed with people looking for good food and a good time. The pics aren't the best but some of the things I ordered on my last visit.Pro Tip: It tends to get busy here so if you know when you're planning to visit, reservations are the way to go.”

La Vie
“Alyssa is a full on rockstar server. She was gracious while under pressure of a packed restaurant and demanding customers. The food was great. Portions were big. Lovely setting, open air rooftop vibes above a Tommy Bahama store.”
“A good friend of mine and I meet for lunch once a month. I've only been to Merriman's for dinner and had a great experience. Lunch proved to be just as good an experience. I ordered the prime roast beef sandwich and didn't expect it to be exactly like prime rib, so it was a little too raw for me. I asked the server if he could ask the kitchen to make it medium or medium well and within a few short minutes, he brought it back perfectly made. It was really good and the rosemary fries were out of this world! The service was outstanding with continuous refills of iced tea and water, and the atmosphere relaxing and quiet! Would definitely go back! =)”

“According to their Instagram they reopened on 2/3/24 offering walk-ins only (no reservations) with just a note they were closed the day of 2/10/24. I went Friday 2/16 and they were closed for dinner :(”

Guava Smoked
“Got two mixed plates so got to try the smoked meat, smoked chicken, hamburger steak, and chili. All the smoked items were definitely the highlight. I didn't care much for the chili and the hamburger steak. The chilis flavors were not the best and I definitely prefer brown gravy for my hamburger steak. I'd come back again but will definitely just get more smoked items - if it's in the name of the restaurant, stick to those items.”
“I went to this restaurant for the first time after being invited by an acquaintance, and since it was lunch time, it was a set meal. The place was full and there were 3 of us at the counter, and I had the grilled mackerel set meal.I'm sure $19 is expensive in Japan, but it's cheap here, and the grilling is good. It's fatty and very delicious.Next time we will visit for dinner.Parking: During busy periods, the free parking lot is full, but paid street parking is available.”
“Best soba in Honolulu! If you’re searching around for soba restaurants, do yourself a favour and just go here. This was my second favourite meal during our entire honeymoon trip in Hawaii and we came back on the last day. I got the Tempura Soba Set A (Zaru style) and added Mentaiko. The soba is handmade so it’s fresh and bouncy and the tempura is fried perfectly. We also highly recommend getting the Miso Gindara- it was so buttery and flavorful! At the end of the meal, they will give you a pot of water that they used to boil the soba noodles. Pour a bit of it in your leftover soba dipping sauce and drink it for a soothing and clean tasting drink to end the meal. This place is popular so if you’re going during dinner, there will probably be a line up. Just write your name down on the board at the entrance and they will call you when your table is ready. There are two seats inside at the waiting area and a few seats outside the restaurant for you to sit while waiting.Highly recommend this place. Food is great and the ladies are so cute!Don’t forget, it’s BYOB. They just charge $1 for each cup.”

“Ate here on a Wed night at the bar. The bar tender is such a vibe setter and instantly made us feel comfortable and welcome. His recommendations for drinks and food made this one of our top and most well-rounded meals of a 10 day visit. Will come back every time. Highly recommend!”
“Great food at a cost! It was delicious from start to finish. A bit pricey but you will not regret it.Parking: Hard to find the parking lot and valet only. They only had one guy running like a chicken without a head. Pretty chaotic!”
“It's a place you can get to from Waikiki by UVER for about $11, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is good, and the food is delicious, and it's comparable to a Japanese izakaya. There was also a bottle of shochu, which was very helpful for those of us who are big drinkers. I definitely want to come back to Hawaii again!”
“Tired of the same ol same ol? Well, my husband and I came here to Mimi’s Peruvian Restaurant for his birthday. A small “mom and pop” type restaurant. What a treat!! We ordered the ceviche and papa Huancaina as appetizers. Both were delicious and authentic Peruvian cuisine. For our main we ordered Arroz con Mariscos (seafood rice). It was very tasty; Nicely seasoned and the presentation was beautiful. The service was outstanding. We had a chance to speak to the chef who was kind and informative. It’s also a byob. Major points in my opinion. We highly recommend this restaurant. Come and give your taste buds a treat!”

“Went to have lunch with my daughter. It was my first time there, she's been there multiple times so I let her do the ordering. Our server Tammy, was very attentive. Filled out Plantation Iced Tea a lot ?. We had the Tomato Basil soup, Crusted Chicken salad and the Turkey and Avocado sandwich.”

“Get the Bibimbap! Best item I've seen on the menu. Super colorful, flavorful and diverse bowl. My mother got the kalbi and was staring at my plate the entire time. Needless to say she'll get the bibimbap next time. Real good portion ”
“Delicious food and amazing service. Really cool spot with great food. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere - we were lucky to be seated next to the pier and look out onto the water. Definitely would recommend.”
“Service was fantastic, super cute place to have breakfast/brunch. This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Croque de madame with the duck egg, beautifully presented potatoes and mint tea. I cannot recommend this place enough.”

Aroma Italia
“Stopped by for lunch after hiking Diamond Head & it hit the spot. We ordered the $20 lunch combo which included a pasta & choice of appetizer or dessert. I picked the linguine with meatballs & tiramisu. My bf picked a salad with his combo. All the dishes were absolutely delicious! The Mediterranean salad was very fresh.”
“Food was amazing with a solid range of beers. Owner was super friendly and truly embodied the belief that beer can bring anyone/everyone together. You could see the pride and passion in the menu as well as the crafting of the beer.”
“Don't walk, run to this awesome Korean hole-in-the-wall. I recommend calling in advance and asking if they can seat you at a specific time. Once you sit down, order the sashimi, a strawberry soju slushy, and a meat jun. You're welcome.”

“Online menu looks limited but didn't affect the dining experience which was fantastic! Every dish was delicious and expertly prepared. Preston was the perfect server- knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly and efficient.”
“Authentic Bun Bo Hue, like when I was in Vietnam! The broth is so tasty, I could eat two but one is more than enough. It's such a treat to eat here. The food is amazing & prices are fair. I am SO grateful for this restaurant. Even if you're a picky eater or know a picky eater, I'm sure they would love the grilled pork (com tit nuon).”

Kapa Hale
“Delightful dinner at Kala Hale! Every dish and every different item on each dish had distinct and complementary flavors and textures. Ahi special was excellent; holu lei salad crisp and tasty; desserts just right. Don’t miss the vanilla ice cream — often overlooked on menus but not here. And goes well with banana pudding. Friendly service, staff gave helpful information and smiles all around.”
“We made a reservation online, it was so easy to make and modify. We showed up about 15 minutes early and were immediately seated. The mixed drinks were great and not too sweet! I hope the pictures of the food speak for themselves. but just in case they don’t… everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big as well! Will definitely visit next time I am in the area.We had the following:- garlic shrimp, fried rice, and salad- garlic chicken, fried rice, and salad- green tea ice cream- drinks: margarita, Chibo’s tropical punch, and a Scorpion- I was also pleasantly surprised by 2 complimentary green teasOur total was $120. If would have easily been< $100 if we didn’t get mixed drinks or ice cream, but I’m so glad we did! Don’t miss out if you are in the area.”

Cafe Morey’s
“Off the beaten trail of Waikiki Beach, found parking and got a table easily. Our hostess and servers were so friendly to us and our baby. Pancakes were incredible. Recommend the fried riceKid-friendliness: They made turtle shaped pancakes with our baby girl's name written in chocolate sauce!”
“Wish it was a larger square foot restaurant so you would not feel so close to the next table. The food was different but when we got to the scallop with noodles, I was surprised it did not have the medium sized scallop instead they had the size of scallop I buy from Marukai--the size of a nickel or dime. I enjoyed the eggplant, the clams with long rice and the lamb which were the best. As a whole the food was enjoyable.”

“You can choose between a light ramen broth that is not overly salty or the spiciness of the ramen. Level 2 spiciness is about the same as Samyang Ramen. The karaage is delicious.”

Duc's Bistro
“Had an amazing dinner here. Highly reccomend the French bread and lobster bisque. I also really enjoyed the lamb entree. Wasn’t a big fan of the spicy beef. Service was excellent.”
“Tasty food, amazing and friendly services.Gavin was super helpful over the menu and made us feel special with his great service.Don’t miss bloody merry ? and if you like fish you should try Ahi Katsu and Mac Nut Mahi Mahi ? ?”
“Pretty decent food the evening we went! Great friendly service with live music. The restaurant had no windows so it could be a little dim. I feel like it could use a bit more decor to make add more warmth to it. My favorite items there were the mud pie and surf and turf. The filet mignon was very tender and juicy and the lobster was delectable. We also tried their escargot, foie gras, duck breast. The escargot could use a bit more herbs, the foie gras was mostly fat and not much liver, not very good quality, and the duck breast was cooked almost like in Cantonese style? Too much hoisin sauce for me. Overall nice evening to celebrate my birthday in a small, local restaurant.”
“We ate here twice in three days. Best meals during our brief Waikiki vacation. My crusted Ahi for dinner was excellent and my wife had what she called “one of the best salads I ever had”. Breakfast two days later was equally delicious. I had salmon eggs Benedict and my wife had the regular eggs Benedict and we savored it to the last drop of the sauce HollandaiseService was very friendly and reasonably fast, but in-rushed. Recommend seating at the far end. Feels like being outside in the silky Hawaiian air, yet protected from the elements.”
“Prices are very decent here for quality of food you're getting! Fried oysters were delicious. All the beef we ordered was very well marbled and melt in your mouth. We ordered the garlic fried rice near the end of our meal and I'm so glad that I did. Super garlicky, make sure you order it when you come here! Will return for sure next time I'm back in Hawaii!Owners were super friendly as well!”
“The fish is great, the rice absolutely sucks. Always served the same, extremely mushy jasmine rice. Literally hawaii is the land of Calrose, can pick 40 different styles of rice that would kick this up to a 10.”
“The tantanmen was outstanding, however, the pounded cucumbers were way overdressed and the Shaka Shaka fries didn’t taste like anything. The food all came at different times, which is weird for a family dinner”
“Typical local bar serving local style Japanese food. Great happy hour specials. The place does get really loud so if you want to come for an intimate conversation not the police I would go. Great to bring groups of friends over. Best hidden gem on the menu is the garlic bread and garlic cream sauce.”
“I accidentally came during happy hour, which is from 2pm-4pm but I’m glad I did! I got a carne asada taco for $3 and this came with free chips and salsa. I didn’t care for the salsa it came with but I loved the salsas from the salsa bar. The salsa verde and the orange one were so full of flavor. Cheapest meal I had during my visit!”

Irie jerk
“Located in The Heart of China Town in Honolulu, we stumbled across Irie Jerk, a Jamaican Restaurant. In about a month we must have visited at least five times. The Mash Potatoes are the best I’ve tasted anywhere, Finger licking Good. We also tried the Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken and Curry Goat, all served with a choice of rice and peas ,cabbage, Mac and cheese, are all delicious. Not only is the food excellent, the owner Cadeen and the staff are pleasant and courteous. I look forward to my next visit. If you are in Honolulu, please stop by Irie Jerk, you won’t be disappointed.”

Sushi Sho
“Thanks to the General Manager who helped me find a parking spot. :)Had a really good time there with my family. Fantastic selection of home made drafts. Personal favorite was 'Snap To It' . Food was excellent and came out seconds after it was ready. Prime Rib sandwich was top notch and the fries were amazing. This will be one of our regular spots every time we come back.”
“Good & legit ramen, with legit noodles! My number one pet peeve about most ramen places in Hawaii is they use the chinese-egg-noodle-kind "ramen noodles" and it definitely ain't the same. They also do the broth here really good. Their egg and charsu is also super on point. COME HERE!! 10/10”
“The service is amazing, you feel like they are very attentive to details. My favorite thing about a place is the comfort of room and if the waiters are refilling my drinks. Got the Gaelic Steak with all Green Beans. I chose to hold off on the Mash Potatoes but it looked amazing. I’m on low carb, otherwise I would’ve got it. Convenient Paid Parking lot across the street. Overall experience was great.”
“Great sushi! First timer at Morio’s and it was a fun experience. We brought a few bottles of sake so we could share with the staff and with Morio. Omakase was excellent, super fresh fish and perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Will definitely be going back when we can get a reservation!”

“It depends what time you go or how busy this place is. If it is slow, things get cleaned and ready for guests but it won't last long. Some staff are aware of the Dining Room needs, others will let it get filthy and ignore the needs unless someone says something. However, if there's a promotion or crowd the staff might become overwhelmed and the normal systems get thrown out the Door and becomes a free-for-all. (National Cheeseburger Day or some other crazy promotion.)”
“Parking: Go during slow hours to dine in so you'll have parking.Kid-friendliness: Always family friendly and kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Handicap ♿️ parking stalls are right at the main entrance. Can't miss them.”
“Great little gem close to the beach, our barmaid was awesome. She was knowledgeable and funny. We highly recommend the Mai Tai, it was delicious and fairly priced.”
“Very impressed by the dumplings in this unfussy and spacious dimsum restaurant. Xiao Long Bao was made fresh to order, and the barbecue pork buns (the white ones) were the best I've ever had. Also the red bean sesame balls were the largest I've ever seen, with excellent dough. We went right around when it opened and had no trouble getting a table for 3. Prices were shockingly reasonable as well - we ordered xiao long bao, har gow, siu mai, sesame balls, and baked barbecue pork buns and the total was around $30”
“A little hole in the wall but great food. It was packed with diners at lunch time.A bit hard to find, it is part of the Marina hotel down near the airport and right underneath the new light rail.”
“We were in town from Houston for a week and went here everyday. Great bartenders, vibe and met some great folks while we were there. This place is a breath of fresh air. Next trip back this will be our first stop for sure!!”

“Stopped by to have some delicious ramen on Friday Sept 29, 2023. The restaurant appeared to be closed, all the tables and chairs were moved! Did they close the restaurant? Or did they move to another location?”
“Food was great, the restaurant family was very friendly and patient with our picky 5 year old water. Grandma brought out a bunch of things for him to try, she was so kind and thoughtful. Also, come hungry or expect to bring home a lot of leftovers... The pork dishes we ordered came in very generous portions, I could only put away about half of my crispy pork belly before I hit my food wall.”
“ELAINE, our sales person was outstanding. Sure we came to get Managua but she was so nice and great with the different kinds they make. And made awesome choices for us. Elaine alo e is worth the return let alonethe great manapua”
“Grocery shopping in Honolulu's Chinatown... I needed some "Chinese ingredients" for soup and I was tired of stressing out about parking in Chinatown. I dislike the municipal lots because they seem crowded, dark, and unsafe. I dislike the metered street parking because I can't park there for free anymore... Unless it's Sunday or a holiday. What I like about Kelly's Korner is the five free parking stalls right in front of the shop. Kelly's is located right next to Mun Lun Chinese School... Next to the Chinese Cultural Plaza. Outside, there's a pretty good selection of fresh produce. I was able to find watercress! Inside, there's more produce and lots of dried goods like ginsing and scallops. I wasn't able to find the canned items that I needed, so, I had to still go to the regular store on Maunakea Street. Uhg. Anyway, I appreciated the air conditioning inside of Kelly's Korner and the organized shelves. They sure had a lot of merchandise for such a small place! I'll be back!”
“Service was fantastic, super cute place to have breakfast/brunch. This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Croque de madame with the duck egg, beautifully presented potatoes and mint tea. I cannot recommend this place enough.”
“My boyfriend and I ate here more than any other place both of our visits to the island. I mistakenly got the Ribeye Steak and I could not believe how dang amazing it was! Happiest mistake ever and for $22 on a 10 oz? Come on! We love the outside atmosphere, so was no big deal eating outside during the day or the evening. So good, and love the staff they work very hard! Mahalo”
“I have to say being with a beautiful Korean wife I have learned what great Korean food is. We ate at this food cart every night and the owners were so gracious with great food! Their spicy pork and Kalbey Beef are true great Korean dishes and great kimchi. The owners made us feel welcome appreciated and food excellent. I hope to see them next time we are there.”
“First timer so I decided to try 2 minis which are 5in sammys. Went with 2 popular ones…Classic cheese steak and Capastrami. Cheese steak was ooey gooey goodness. The meat was tender and the cheese brought the salty flavor all topped on a soft and chewy roll. Loved the texture and flavors. The Capastrami was next. I was not a fan but I enjoyed the sandwich. I think I’m more of a purist with pastrami. Will definitely come back to try some of the other sammys but definitely for the Classic Cheese Steak.”

“We came on Easter & it was a mistake. We had a reservation & still waited 20 minutes for a table. Server took a while to get to us but they were definitely understaffed. “This feels like local gourmet food ♡♡I went there around 06:50, just as it was about to open, and there was a long line! !The lane I lined up in didn't have Japanese support, but I managed to get what I wanted to order lol.The lady clerk seemed to be able to speak Japanese well, but the young loco girl couldn't understand Japanese, so she did her best in broken English! ! lol”
“This is Wolfgang's Steakhouse. Even the loco moco for lunch had a luxurious feel and was delicious. The way you pour beer is also great! This is also amazing.”

“A must-try spot in downtown Honolulu for visitors. Long lines so be prepared to wait 30-45min. Staff is friendly and everything is prepared fresh. Bakery is of high quality and coffee is local.”
“I celebrated my 33rd birthday here and it was amazing!!! Ke-von, our server, was absolutely incredible & very knowledgeable about the menu. He made my birthday very special & memorable. Mika was also amazing & the management was very attentive. Our glasses were never empty! The food was phenomenal - highly recommend the miso butterfish & whole crispy fish!! Thank you !!! ? ”
“It's a bakery, and I went there twice to eat Loco Moco. A large hamburger steak is served and topped with plenty of gravy. It would be nice to have some kimchi or pickles since I get a bit bitten when I eat it. ? Aperitif bread is also provided, and it is really crispy, moist and has a steamy taste.”

“I had the basil pesto burger and was perfect, the burger was hot juicy with crispy edges. Can't wait to go back and try their other burgers. A little pricey, but it was worth it.”
“Had Tadka Indian cuisine bookmarked for a while and finally decided to try it. Called as soon as they opened for dinner take out and the phone line was already busy. Ordered a bunch of dishes to try. Pani puri - little hallowed puff balls that you can fill with red onion and potatoes. They have a sauce that you can pour into each one. Just eating of this appetizer can make anyone go back for more. Plus, it's not very filling so you can add it as a side to any dish or share with everyone. Samosa chaat: the description felt like a lot of toppings on a vegetable samosa. But surprisingly, I couldn't point one sauce out that was more distinct than the other. It all melded well together. Aloo matar: potato with peas in a creamy orange sauce. Very nice and pleasant. Lemon rice: interesting take and nice addition to the curry. Not overwhelming in lemon taste. Naan bread- we got the cheese, garlic, and plain naan. Nice and soft and the cheese one filled with a very soft and subtle tasting cheese. Butter chicken, chicken tikka were both good. The vindaloo chicken was super spicy and my husband liked it but was spicy for him he couldn't eat it all. 3 peppers on the menu so have fun! I am not sure if the to go options for the curries is similar to eat in portions but it felt so small. They were like soup bowl containers and I wished there was more. We had an over abundance of rice and bread to our curries. Parking is difficult especially with how small, tight, and limited the stalls were. My parents picking it up we're able to snag a stall but couldn't get out because the person wanting it blocked them and he ended up going around and lost it. That's how busy it was at 6 pm.”
“In a small food court in between Seaside and Royal Hawaiian ave. Very tasty breakfast fried rice w 2 eggs and choice of meat mix in. Food came out fast. Reasonable prices. $10 You will pay $15-$20 or more at Liliha Bakery or similar.”
“They sell egg tarts, coconut tart and moon cakes but they are famous for their egg tarts. I bought an egg tart and a coconut tarte to try. Both were delicious not too sweet. The egg tart tasted eggy since it's an egg tarte after all but you also have a vanilla aftertaste. The crust was layers of flakes that crumbled as you bite into it. Overall it was pretty good but I'm not sure if it's the best egg tart I've had in USA considering the ones in New York. I was expecting it to be very big as I saw some other post but it was just the standard size. It is price-pretty/expensive for an egg tart when compared to other bakeries selling egg tart. Either way it was fresh and hot since they had a have high turnover reate. I waited 30-40 minutes on a Saturday around 12:30PM and the line moved very slow. I don't think I'd wait for an hour or even two like other Yelpers have. The staff were friendly, cash only and no parking. I'd go back if I"m in the area and the lineups are short.”
“The Mentai Butter & Obama Udon tasted like udon in pasta sauce. It was really flavorful. However, I prefer the traditional style udon, so I'll be trying this the next time I go back. The restaurant is cafeteria style where you have to order first before you sit down. We went during dinner rush, so the staff held strict rules regarding that so people couldn't reserve their seats while part of their party waited in line to order. This made things more efficient and allowed for people to get their food, eat it, and carry on with their day.”
“Nori Bar Hawaii, tucked away in Kakaako behind Dave and Buster's parking lot, is a true hidden gem for sushi lovers. The nigiri and hand rolls are impeccably fresh, leaving you feeling like you're getting a steal with their surprisingly affordable prices. Personally, I can't get enough of their blue crab roll and seared salmon--it's simply delectable. Pairing the meal with their fantastic sake only enhances the dining experience. Even their takeout is top-notch, with convenient and sturdy packaging perfect for enjoying at home or work. Without a doubt, Nori Bar Hawaii has become my ultimate go-to spot for sushi on the island.”
“Really love their boneless chicken! I had high hopes for the garlic soy series but we ended up loving the honey so flavor much more! Also love the two new flavors they added for December 2023! Hope it sticks around!”
“Finally got to try Katsuriki for AYCE yakiniku! Good price point. Great selection of beef and pork plus shrimp for dinner. It satisfied my bbq craving. They advertise as cheapest AYCE in town. They don't have all the choices like some other places but what they do offer is great for the price! If you order the garlic noodles, it was sooo good with black pepper added to it! I didn't think I would like it but I poured black pepper all over and then couldn't stop eating it. My favorite meat choices were the kalbi, garlic teriyaki steak and the pork jowl. The salad was nice too. From the banchan plate I loved the bean sprouts namul, Kim chi and the radish. We will be back for more AYCE Katsuriki yakiniku! You don't have to order the sampler plates and go straight to the cuts of meat that you prefer. Also it says squid legs but it was tako/octopus.”
