“Visiting Hawaii & finally decided to drop by this place, that I saw on instagram. I will say this place is amazing! The vibe is amazing! The designs! The worker name abs had such great customer service!Me and my mother adored her to death! We ordered the cucumber salad medium spice (it was bomb), the pad Thai which tasted so good & the kapoon, I tried so many kapoon and this one beat the rest. We also order dessert which is called Nam Wan, it's a tropica jello with coconut milk & shaved ice (which was obviously good also). I love the fact that they sat us where the koi pond was also!“

“The food at Sabb Thai is very good. The prices are on par for the quality and portion size. Got to talk story with the owner. Very pleasant and friendly. The location is becoming more typical of many Honolulu locations with lots of rubbish and homeless around. Unfortunately the curb appeal turned me off for several years as I walked by this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and homey the inside of the restaurant is.I had the no meat spicy eggplant and green curry. Recommended and I look forward to returning.Vegetarian options: Although I had no meat and tofu options, I can not confirm if the base and sauces had no meat or fish ingredients.“

“I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. Boy o boy is it good! I mean, how many places give you TWO sauce cups for your rolls? The crispy shrimp and spring rolls were amazing, you can tell that the frying oil is fresh, not stale. I also ordered the seafood drunken noodle. I love the fact that they give you a good amount of fish, shrimp and squid, not just a lot of one and a little of the rest. Maybe that's why they have such short store hours, they pack all the flavor in a little time.“

“Why was this place empty? It should have a waiting line!Tourists, don’t sleep on this! It’s authentic Thai food and the food is delicious, so flavorful! We ordered drunken noodles and basil stir fry chicken, both of the dishes were tasty. We came back the next day because food is obviously delicious plus the food arrives quickly. It isn’t as expensive as other places on the island with not so great food. The only downside for us was to order the rice on the side, imo it should come complimentary with the dish.10/10 food and service. Must go during your Oahu vacation.“

“This cafe is a place you MUST try!Parking: There is a lot of parking spaces near the cafe. My family parked at a paid parking space for $7 dollars for an hour (this is including tax). There were also free spots you could park at.Kid-friendliness: The owner, his wife, and their mother in law very extremely kind and welcoming. They recognize peoples faces and know their names. They all have beautiful big smiles and the kids loved them and the food! They also had conversations with our kids and gave us free tapioca deserts! Wonderful people, best place we ate at hawaii, and will definitely try again when we come back!Wheelchair accessibility: My family and I ate in and saw many people with wheelchairs enter the cafe. They have lots of seating and have a wide door so it is very accessible for people with and without wheelchairs.“

They do not sell alcohol separately, so you can buy your own alcohol and bring it with you. Thai Village Thai •
2334 S King St, Honolulu

“How exciting to welcome Thai Village to Moili'ili!!Anticipating it's arrival and it's finally time to give them a visit though I'm not as adventurous when it comes to Thai maybe because I do have a shellfish allergies I just can't simply go off the menu in fear of cross contamination.Don't get me wrong having a co worker who brought us home cooked meal every day she worked has broaden my horizon and have grown to appreciate the flavors and uses of many spices and veggies used to make it all so flavorful.I already instantly narrowed it down to the noodle section and let me tell you it wasn't easy their menu is very descriptive with ingredients and type of noodles making easy to get an idea of what the items are. One did capture my attention is the "Curry Pad Thai" seriously right!?! It offers the same and the traditional Pad Thai but with a Thai Curry Sauce instead and having the options I usually like to go veggie which is what I did and got a few not impressive amount and was disappointed to see a few pieces of tofu which I do love it's just not what I ordered. How does it taste? If you never told me I wouldn't know it was curry sauce and it did have a slight heat but nothing too spicy, very flavorful just not what I was expecting which was sad for me personally but I'd definitely order either the regular or other items to try.Service is great was told me approximately how long my order would take and had all ready to go when I came back to pick it up, they do have quite a bit of seating for dine in service which is also a great option the next time.Thank you!“

Babby's bar Bar •
1610 Kalani St, Honolulu

“Landed on the island on a Monday and left this evening's bar crawl in the hands of my cousin - the locals tour. Ended up in Kalihi on some nondescript, industrial looking side street and found myself in what my cousin described as a Laotian themed bar. There's always a first for everything. Very local feel, clean, casual, non pretentious. The acoustic system here kicks major a** for karaoke, although I have no idea what is being sung. It's all fun though. At any rate, very friendly staff, the kitchen closes late and they make a mean fried chicken. Come check it out!“

“The best Thai restaurant I've ever tried in my life!! The pad Thai tastes like no pad Thai I've ever tried before from other Thai restaurants in Hawaii and their yellow curry is filled with many different spices and the mild version had just the right amount of kick. The tofu with the pad Thai was huge and super delicious, especially with the lime wedge. The seafood in the yellow curry included a couple of clams/oysters, which I've never seen before in curries but was very delicious! Their sticky rice is also quite good, all white rice unlike the purple grains other places sometimes offer. The staff is also extremely considerate, professional, and goes the extra mile. It's very clean and well-maintained inside with lots of tables. This is our new spot for Thai food!!“

“Greeted right when you walk through the door. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Gives me an old style pub feel mixed with some art. They have a wide variety of alcohol at the bar area. Our booth had comfortable couch type seating. Our server was amazing! She gave awesome recommendations! We ordered the papaya mango salad. It was fresh and delicious! They don't ask the spice level, but it paired perfectly with everything we ordered. The fried chicken isn't crispy, more like the original style from kfc type fried chicken. The flavor on those wings though? Unreal! The lechon was okay, a bit on the salty side. The spicy garlic noodles gave me mililani restaurant fried noodles vibes. Krazy fried rice was good as well. Yuzu cheesecake was not too rich, but just right. The star of the show? Oyster shooters! Best I ever had! Didn't drink at this dinner, but will definitely come back and try some next time.“

“Bangkok Chef Manoa is in a word, "reliable". I know what I'm going to get before I even step out of the car in their parking lot. As a matter of fact all Bangkok Chef locations are like that. But the newness and squeaky clean feel of this location wins me over. Advice... I like the panang curry here for its simplicity. BTW, it's the same at any Bangkok chef... their consistency is a winning trait. Red curry ordered spicy is good. The spring rolls are my guilty deep fried pleasure and I order and gladly pay the up charge for extra greens and mint. I live a wee closer to the Nuuanu location, the Nimitz location is convenient for my Pau Hana commute, but the Mānoa location is my favorite. Added bonus, the service I've received at the Mamoa location has always been the best.“
