“To Thai For has been a mainstay of Waialae Ave since before the pandemic. They are family run and the food is excellent. “We knew it was gonna be good when we walked in and saw all the rows of bulk packaged food and ingredients lining the walls. We got a whole spread and everything was the hit. Definitely get the house boat noodles, but the Chinese herbal duck noodle soup was so comforting and clean feeling (felt spiritually like Pho but different execution), the crispy crab green mango salad was SO refreshing and tangy with great crunchy textures, and the stir fried basil pork just a classic. “We've been ordering takeout from Pad Thai for years, and it's still our favorite Thai restaurant on the island.

We almost always order the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. We've tried other dishes too, but those two are so good that we rarely feel like ordering anything else. The portions are generous, and the prices are about what you'd expect compared to other Thai takeout restaurants.

The staff has always been friendly, and after coming here for so many years they know us well. We usually call in our order, and pickup is always quick and easy. The restaurant is clean, and parking is just the normal Salt Lake Shopping Center lot.

Thai food can vary a lot from one restaurant to another. We've tried quite a few places around Oahu, and this is still the one we keep coming back to.

Tables in the dining area are fairly close together. We've never had an issue picking up takeout, but it looks like it could be a little tight if you're using a wheelchair. High chairs are available for babies or toddlers.

We've never really had a bad experience here. If you're looking for good Thai food in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.“

“I stopped in for lunch and had such a great experience! I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, and it was absolutely delicious… so good that I ended up ordering another Pad Thai with chicken to take home for my boyfriend, and he loved it too!

I also had the Thai tea, which was really refreshing and paired perfectly with the food. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food.

“Chicken laarb tasted okay. The ginger soup tasted really good. The shredded cabbage tasted really appetizing with its soup. I had this ginger soup a few times here, and I liked it every time. It's like a comfort food to me now. I'm just a bit disappointed this time because the meat was really tough. I had to really chew it. I almost choked one time when I just wanted to swallow it already.“

The noodles were chewy just how I like it. They have a small self serve sauce bar with chili peppers. There’s a walk up order window outside or you can sit inside where theres about 4-5 small tables. Nice clean and cozy.“

“This great Thai take out place offers all the classics at very reasonable prices in a convenient location. It is located in the food court area just outside of Don Quijote. Their food is all made to order and served up hot and fresh, as well as the operators are very friendly and take your order courteously. I ordered the Tom Kai Gai soup which is similar to the Tom Yum, but with coconut milk and tasty perfectly sizes of sliced chicken breast. I did order it spicy because I like the Thai chili kick, but you can get it mild as well and it will still be flavorful from ginger and kaffir lime leaves. The broth is light, yet very satisfying. I recommend getting a side of jasmine rice to go with it if you aren't getting anything else. One down fall to this location is the common seating area in the food court. Aside from being very busy with customer entering and exiting Don Quijote, there is an over abundance of homeless and crazies hanging out. It doesn't make for a comfortable dining experience if you aren't a bit thick skinned. On a plus note, if open, they do have an inside counter area that can seat about 2. I would definitely go back again as well as recommend this place to others.“

The birria bao taco was a unique twist the bao was soft and fluffy, and it paired surprisingly well with the birria. The birria bomb bites were probably my favourite because they were crispy on the outside, cheesy and juicy inside, and perfect for dipping in the consomme😭🥹 The banana pudding was creamy not overly sweet and the perfect way to finish the meal.“
