The Cuban Cafe’ is spot on and the French Toast with the Rum Sauce is off the charts!! Enough food to feed two! The owner is friendly & engaging as is the staff. Stop in, grab a Cafe’ and chill on the sidewalk seating while your breakfast is created..I say created because it is a true work of art…at least in my professional opinion.“

“I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. “We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. “Going to Jane's Fountain felt like I traveled back in time to one of those old school diner places. On that day, I had the Hamburger Steak. It is one of the best on the island. My only complaint was that there was only one hamburger patty. I would definitely pay extra for the 2nd patty.“

The customer service is amazing, kind and attentive. We went here two times during our stay, the man and girl were both very friendly 🙏

The boba (we got jasmine milk tea and matcha milk tea) was fresh and the boba was soft and chewy- you can taste the tea. I recommend getting 25% sweetness if you like it not too sweet though.

The shop was small but colorful and comfy, the napkin dispensers were very cute. It was quiet and ambient. Thanks so much for the service, Littlw Sweet.“

“Marugame Udon is one of my favorite spots whenever I’m craving fresh, affordable comfort food. The food is always made fresh, the line moves quickly, and everything tastes consistently great.

My go-to order is the Nikutama Udon with shrimp tempura and chicken tempura. It’s the perfect combo every time. The portions are generous, the prices are hard to beat, and it’s easy to see why this place is always busy.

The only downside is the parking—it can definitely be a challenge. But honestly, the food is worth it. If you’re looking for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly meal, Marugame Udon never disappoints.“

“Old school delicatessen located right in the heart of Kalihi. I bet youve driven past it as the location itself doesnt stand out, blends in with the environment but its neon sign against the early 5 AM hours should entice you to stop.
Simply pick your starchs, sides, meats to be put on a plate and wrapped for take out. Charged per serving, everything was fairly priced. Good size portions that fill you up for less than 10$.
Parking is on the street or in the residential and then you walk. Just watch for your surroundings.“

“Make sure you triple check your oder. Today we ate at the Honolulu Bistro for the first time. The guy at the register claims he didn't rung us up for 2 sandwiches. At checking out he did say back our order. The recipe is not detailed either. The amount we paid was definitely for 2 sandwiches. We ended up sharing 1 sandwich and left.“

“There is seating and you can bring about four or five people per table. There’s also seating outside. It’s a really cool area of dying with family, friends or coworkers and also there is parking lots of parking right behind. It is literally connected within the storage building. literally it is located across McKinley high school’s football field. It is such a jam. They have really good fish there. The ambience is calm. It’s pretty quiet and next-door they have other high-end restaurants. This is a really good area to be in if you want to hang out with people visiting and or just bonding.“

The space is very clean, and the coolest part about this shop is their incredible selection flexibility. If you're not digging what they have on tap, you can select literally anything from their massive options in the refrigerators. They will charge you a nominal $2 corkage/service fee to put it into a glass for you to enjoy right there!

Another great feature is that they even have some hard seltzer options if beer and wine are not your thing. It's also conveniently located in SALT Kakaʻako, so the energy and atmosphere around the area are pretty cool.
