The Cuban Cafe’ is spot on and the French Toast with the Rum Sauce is off the charts!! Enough food to feed two! The owner is friendly & engaging as is the staff. Stop in, grab a Cafe’ and chill on the sidewalk seating while your breakfast is created..I say created because it is a true work of art…at least in my professional opinion.“

“We sampled several menu items. We started with the Potstickers which we ordered steamed instead of deep fried. Very good appetizer. Don’t miss out on the Banana Flower Salad, very unique and delicious! We also shared a Banh Mi sandwich, tasty but our least favorite item. And also shared the Gochujang Ramen, it looked and smelled so good we forgot to take a pic until it was half eaten. The very-friendly staff warned us that it would be very spicy “a 7 or 8” but we found it to be more of a 4-5 and absolutely delicious! The Salad and Ramen were tied for our favorite. Definitely a place we will return to. And the Thai Tea was good. We took home half the sandwich, salad and soup. All for less than $60! Incredible value. Updated from previous review on 2026-09-27“

“I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. The burgers were just as amazing, juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was out of this world. If you’re in Honolulu, don’t sleep on this place. I’d come back in a heartbeat.“

The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. “I made a reservation specifically to enjoy the fireworks, and I was so excited for the evening. While the hostess was extremely polite despite looking quite flustered, the management experience fell short. The manager (or bar manager—she was wearing a headset) and the gentleman behind the bar came across as notably abrupt. Having worked in the industry for many years, I completely understand the stress of a busy night, but this felt out of place for an establishment of this caliber—especially being at a Ritz-Carlton.

Onto the food! The drinks were fantastic and the meal itself was delicious, though I was a bit disappointed to find some old, wilted pieces of lettuce in my salad. Otherwise, no complaints!

A special shoutout to our amazing server (a redheaded-woman whose name I unfortunately didn't catch)—she was wonderful. And the view for the fireworks? Absolute perfection. 10/10 for the view and the server!“

They have limited options but available options are unique and yummy.
The service is bit on the slow, if you have a party of three, they still serve one person at a time. So plan your time well.
But the breakfast is awesome.

“Walking past, there's a good chance you won't even notice it. There's a row of 3-4 shops in one building. Upon entering, you realize just how small it really is. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and patient, this was the first time for me to visit this place. I honestly couldn't decide, there were so much to choose from. I ended up ordering the Hawaiian calzone and the combination calzone. I was not disappointed at all. They were delicious. I quickly realized however that I should have ordered just 1. They were both quite full. I'll be sure to go back there on my next trip to Hawaii.“

“My family ate at 4 different poke bowls places during our stay and this place was the Best. There’s a little spicy kick to it that makes it stand out. The Musubi are also excellent, I highly recommend you add this eatery to your trip, you won’t be disappointed. There’s relaxing koi ponds outside the place the kids would really enjoy too.“

We came here om a rainy day and the udon soup was heavenly. You can kinda customize your plate and add some fried extras. Friendly and efficient service. It was all in all, excellent. “Probably the best fried chicken that I have EVER had. If they were to offer a fried chicken plate, chicken sandwich, or just a bucket of chicken I think that I would eat here every day of the week. The fried chicken biscuit and gravy was delicious, but give me just the chicken. I can't rave enough about it. The service here was excellent, very friendly and thoughtful of the entire party. However, it was a bit slow. And don't expect your food to come out quickly. This is a small operation so expect freshly cooked for the table. Parking is the biggest complaint. That said, the headache of finding parking and the longer wait time is worth it for that chicken. An absolute must go for anyone.“

“The only thing I didn’t like were the metal chairs and the noise. Service, food, and even the wait time were incredible. (We didn’t make a reservation and they still got us in quickly.“

“The Zaru-soba sauce was perfect...the soba itself was good, but the sauce is amazing. I haven't had sauce like that since I was in Japan.

The hamachi carpaccio was a little sad looking, but the salmon with yuzu was really good. There were other dishes I wanted but they were out of it when I went.

Quail eggs were nice, the eggplant tempura was really good too...didn't care much for the grilled tofu. I guess it was because it was harder and dryer than I thought it was gonna be even after letting it sit in the sauce (i poked holes in it to help it absorb more of the sauce, but that didn't work).

Overall this restaurant has some really amazing food, as well as some not so amazing food. But overall I enjoyed it there. But for sure I'll be back when I want zaru-soba and salmon.

One interesting thing that happened was we asked if we could sit at the bar and we were told no. There was plenty of open seating at the bar, and there were only 1 or 2 couples up there at the time eating. I guess we were not good enough for the bar seating for some reason.“
