“A gem at on Diamond Head side of Waikiki. We sat the bar and enjoyed a fun selection of drinks and plates to share. All of dishes looked and tasted great and had twists that made the stand out from other menus - bbq fries with sour cream and chive dip had of the flavors and more of a baked potato. The bartender was knowledgeable and a pleasure to chat with. Would go back again, immediately.“

“Really enjoyed this place.
The rooftop atmosphere is great and the food was better than expected. Lots of unique dishes and everything we tried was good.
Drinks were solid too, especially the Iichiko BLU cocktail.
Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.
Would come back again.“

“Make sure you triple check your oder. Today we ate at the Honolulu Bistro for the first time. The guy at the register claims he didn't rung us up for 2 sandwiches. At checking out he did say back our order. The recipe is not detailed either. The amount we paid was definitely for 2 sandwiches. We ended up sharing 1 sandwich and left.“

“Absolutely our best meal in Hawaii. The right choice to celebrate a special occasion. Our experience was so wonderful, food, wine, atmosphere all made for the best evening. “So good! It’s a quick way to get some food at the Bishop Museum. We ordered at the counter and while there was a little bit of a line and a wait, the food came out quickly and was delicious. We loved the poke bowl, the saimin and the lilikoi cake.“

“My first time here after seeing them on tv. So glad the worker tied the bag of my 3 plates tightly and that they use strong plastic containers. I took a sharp turn and my bag flipped to the side. My food shifted a little in the container, but at least it didn’t spill out or leak out of the containers. Love the hamburger steak with crispy onions! Omg, the special parmesan chicken was huge!! This was ono too. Will definitely go back there again. ❤️“

“Delicious and huge portions! Had Grilled ahi and Teust Us Special with shrimp and ribs - all super flavorful. Would prefer potato or green salad over their long mac. Will definitely be back, perfectly located for pre/post airport stop. 3 picnic style tables (not fancy, but clean) and most were locals doing takeout with easy parking.“

“The food was so good! Ok, there's no indoor dining and the outdoor dining is really rough but during our meal there the locals seemed to love it and for good reason. This is what I imagine authentic Hawaiian BBQ for the working man is like. When you go to a BBQ place and see the orange construction either shirts, is probably going to be good and it was. The girl at the register recommend the beef short ribs and they were amazing. My wife had the teriyaki chicken and it had amazing flavor, though a bit overcooked, I still finished it if for her gladly. My only warning: one dish is plenty for two hungry people! We were getting ready to head to the airport and didn't want any to go to waste, so we have half to a mother with four teenage boys. They were 😊. Definitely will return next time we visit the island.“

“Paradise poke is a clean and inviting poke/local foods spot. I would put them up with the top dogs in terms of poke. I didn’t get a chance to taste their plated food but everything sounded amazing. I ordered the 2 choice poke bowl. I got the Hawaiian Alaea style with the Ginger scallion combos with the yuzu cucumbers. The bowl was so refreshing and the fish was amazingly fresh. This won’t be the last time I’ll be visiting.“

“My husband and I came starving after traveling. Coming from LA we have some high standards for our Mexican food. Safe to say they bring the best of Mexican and Dominican food. We got the Kalbi beef taco, panko shrimp, carne asada burrito and carne asada quesadilla. There was not a bite left over!!! I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of our food. Their house sauce is bomb if you mix it with a little sour cream. Def a family joint!!! I'm coming back asap and you should too! God bless the father and two daughters that work there and I hope they are successful in all they do!!“

“Wow I drove past this place many times, shame on me for not stopping by for a bite. Today I was just looking for breakfast and maaaayyyynnnn the breakfast combo!!!

$9.59 bucks in ward is awesome, which included 2 eggs, 1 spam, 2 pocho sausage, 2 links, and 4 bacon.!!!. Most places would probably cost 15-20+ bucks for that.

Not to mention, it was only after my order was almost done I see a sign for $1 adder for fried rice, shucks. Definitely going try that next time. I forgot to ask for over easy when I grabbed my bag and was like oh no don't be scrambled haha. We'll it seems to be standard as over easy it was, so if u want scramble be sure to ask.

On top of the deal my food was out in a few minutes behind one small order and a large order, so gray job on quick time.

Inside is your normal plate lunch seating area. There is also metered street parking along the north bound lane of Cooke St.

They have a good size menu, and I definitely will be back to try some of their other food. For now I found my go to breakfast spot in ward area haha!!!“

“I am foodie from Japan, enjoy once or twice a month hotel buffet in Tokyo. But Orchids Sunday branch menu was the best ever. Not only does it taste good, but it also tastes good, fine scenery, number and placement of staff and their diligence noteworthy.“

“Da Ono Hawaiian Food is a great local spot to try traditional Hawaiian food. It has a very casual, local feel, and the food was exactly what we were hoping for. Everything we ordered was satisfying and flavorful, and it felt like a nice way to experience authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

We really enjoyed our meal and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more local, traditional Hawaiian food experience.“

“I've dined at many L&L restaurants in Hawaii but this was my first visit to the location across from Whole Foods. There are lots of tables for diners, many are hidden around the corner from the drink dispensing station.

I ordered something I get at a number of L&Ls ... BBQ Cheeseburger combo (a deluxe BBQ cheeseburger, a LARGE bag of fries, and a drink); all for $12.50.

The burger contained lettuce, a thick slice of white onion, and a slice of tomato. Yum! The fries were crispy ... None were soggy ... Yay!

“Love this L & L location. This is always a must when we are here on vacation. This location is conveniently located in the Safeway parking lot. It is to the right side of the longs drugs store on the corner. The service is always great here and it is always fun to come here. We love the chicken katsu and kalua pork plates. The Mac salad is always a nice treat!“

“Walked off the street looking for fresh poke and this place met expectations. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable.

The fish is fresh and the service magnificent. Staff friendly and the place is very clean. We’ll return again before vacation is over. Highly recommended.“

“We haven't been to this paricular location of Zippy's before. And we haven't been to any Zippy's in quite a while. We were pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome and home cooked food atmosphere. We will definitely visit this location again.“

“We just got coffee (locally grown Hawaii blend), but it’s such a charming decor showing old-life Hawaii. Offers local staples and such. Order on a line and take to your table… if you can find one. Outdoor seating is more limited than idoor seating.“

“Wanted to get a quick bite before our excursion and this place blew me away. Told the guy at the front we only had a few minutes and he said that the ribs will be done quickest and in two minutes sure enough they were done. Great service

“I got the chicken cutlets and those were really good. Not only good but also for the price I paid for they had a lot of food and I the gravy sauce they served with it was just amazing. They were very quick with my order and they helped me pick what I wanted to get. Whenever I go to a store, especially a store that I haven't tried before, I always ask the workers what they like to eat and what is popular and I was then told to pick the chicken cutlets (I think that is what they are called) I wish I knew their exact name but anyway one of the workers from a long time ago recommended it to me and I just haven't even wanted to try anything else on the menu it was so good. They also have a boba shop inside the store which is super convenient. My mom and brother LOVE boba so I decided to just buy it whenever I'm there for them and their level of happiness has just been on a rise whenever I say I'm going to Loco Moco for lunch. Of course it is a bit of a drive for me but every time I go I can say this is worth it.“

“If you're ever looking to grab lunch on campus, I recommend checking out L&L at Paradise Palms. The food was mostly what I expected in terms of standard plate lunch, but the mac salad was especially great. The workers were also very friendly!“

“This is a \\\"condensed\\\" or \\\"Express\\\" version of L\\u0026L with a limited menu. Their hours are 6:30am to 1:30pm. They're located in the First Insurance Company building on the corner of Ward Ave. and S. Hotel St.“

“Caught them at Windward Mall this past Saturday, April 9. Best Shoyu Pork….Ever! Prime Rib was da bomb and sooo tender! Very friendly too!“

“Ordered a regular plate of Mochiko Chicken. Mac salad was not great. I've had better in Oahu. Chicken was hot but tad on the dry side. Customer service wasn't the greatest either. The have plenty of parking and seating indoors if you'd like to eat in.“

“I stopped by Ala Moana Poi Bowl the other day and it was exactly what I was looking for. It is located right in the food court and features that classic turo-turo style where you just point at what you want from the display. The service was incredibly fast, which I really appreciated. The workers were nice, though you could tell they were in a bit of a rush to keep things moving. They were a little short with me when I was ordering, but it was totally understandable given how long the line was and how hard they were working to get everyone through quickly.

The portions were really generous for the price. I felt like I got a lot of food, and more importantly, the flavors were really good. It definitely hit the spot for a solid local meal. One of the things I liked most about eating here is that I felt happy to support a local business. The food court at the mall seems to be filling up more and more with large chains from the mainland, so it is nice to have a reliable place that still serves local food.

Everything I tried tasted fresh and well-seasoned. It is a great option if you are shopping and want something filling and authentic without having to sit down at a full-service restaurant. Even with the fast pace and the bustling environment, the quality of the food stands up. It is a relief to find a spot that still feels authentic in such a corporate environment. I’ll keep coming back here to make sure we keep these local options around.“
