“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

We tried fish tacos, the outstanding Mango bbq burger, and the pulled pork sandwich. I’d say the mango burgers were the best item we had. Loved seeing the tiki torches with diamond head background.“

“Awesome little spot about 20 minute drive from Waikiki Beach. Great for take out. There are 2 benches inside if you want to eat there; That is what we did!

Garlic Salmon was really delicious, and the Spicy Ahi Katsu was fantastic. Great choices.

“I visited today and sat at the bar for Happy Hour and had the best bartender (woman) whose name I didn't get but we did chat about travel. She was so kind! I forgot my credit card and ran after me down the street to return it to me! The food was great and the service was awesome. Thank you kind lady and enjoy your trip to South Africa!“

“Small place, but the flow is well thought out. They have different snacks, jerky, deserts and sides that looked delicious. I went there to try their Poke. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to try it, there wasn't much in the display. The young girl explained that they could make a fresh batch of what I decided on. I had their Spicy Ahi on sushi rice, yuzu cucumber with the Unagi sauce, and ginger. The Ahi was actually spicy...loved it! The creaminess and flavor was just right.“

Omg how have I driven past this place for the past 10 years and never stopped by?? This little hole in the wall poke shop has one of the best shoyu poke I’ve ever tried! I also really enjoyed their other flavors that I’ve tried so far - spicy masago (mmm!) & spicy ahi (more sesame oil forward, not my preference but still really good!)

No seating inside - just a quick in-and-out go type of place. Good for bringing dinner home or a poke run before going to the beach. Parking is a little tight in front of the shop, but there’s street parking by the park near by.“

“Got the Hawaiian burger, very good stuff. Was made medium as it should be, if you want otherwise you need to ask. The portion of fries is more than enough, only downside is the fries were not seasoned a lot, the ones that were seasoned though were tasty. I'm not big on crinkle cut ones but it's fine with this burger.“

The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Everything we ordered was really good, but the garlic shrimp is an absolute must try!!! Seriously one of the highlights of our trip — packed with flavor and cooked perfectly.

“Hidden gem, I love the sweet potato with the spicy ahi here. I’m from Oahu and haven’t had a favorite poke spot besides places I’ve been on Big Island or Foodland, but this place is an easy favorite. The guys who work here know their stuff haha, you get so much food too and the cost is worth it for the quality.“

I’ve had some of the best sashimi of my life here (fresh and truly melt-in-your-mouth ono!) One time, I needed a last-minute order for a New Year’s party, and they came through and saved the day. “Very good food. I had the Thai yellow curry vegetarian, chow fun pad Thai tofu and a side of sticky rice. I am a meat eater but no worries it has plenty of flavor. The curry was the star of the show for me. Enough sweetness to be good but not over powering. The chow fun pad Thai was something different. For the me the chow fun definitely seemed to spread the flavor out better per bite. The pad Thai came out first and it was hard to stop eating that to try the curry. But the curry edged out the pad Thai for me in flavor. Both. Both are good!

For the parking the two separate signs are a little confusing. The lady in the restaurant says no need to pay the parking if you’re eating there. So it isn’t a sign up with a code for the first hour free kind of thing. I didn’t see any parking QR codes inside the restaurant. So do the usual scam check of scratching the edge of the QR code on the sign to make sure no one stuck a fake QR code on top of the real one.“

“I am foodie from Japan, enjoy once or twice a month hotel buffet in Tokyo. But Orchids Sunday branch menu was the best ever. Not only does it taste good, but it also tastes good, fine scenery, number and placement of staff and their diligence noteworthy.“

“Seriously best garlic shrimp we have had on our trip! Just sad we found it on our last night here. We ordered 6 plates and our groups was fighting over the last bits of sauce soaked rice! Steak was cooked perfectly. Salad was great selection of crisp fresh greens with the right amount of dressing. Mac salad was plain-the way it should be! Why ruin a good thing and add tons of stuff! And the shrimp! Onolicious is the only word I can use. It was garlicky without being overwhelmingly garlic. Mahalo! Hope we get back soon.“

“Took my aunt visiting from Bay Area out for dinner. Had some dimsum dishes as well as some dinner entrees. My aunt ordered too much food which is why the bill is in the $50/person range. Quality & taste were very similar to some of the finer dining restaurants in the Bay Area like Mayflower & Koi Palace without the upscale surroundings & upscale price. We had a steam fish with ginger & scallion (could not translate what the fish was) which was so fresh & flavorful. Only disappointing dish was the roast duck which was flavorful but was dry. I guess at a seafood restaurant, ordering barbecue might not get you the freshest dish. There are a couple of private rooms available and appears to have karaoke. All in all, a very good choice if you are looking for some good Cantonese food.“
