“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful poke in Hawaii, Maguro Spot is definitely worth a visit! We tried three different poke bowls, and every single one was delicious.

The salmon poke bowls were incredibly fresh, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. The salmon practically melted in our mouths, and the combination of seaweed salad, edamame, cucumber, avocado, and sesame seeds made every bite refreshing and satisfying. The tuna poke bowl was just as impressive—beautifully fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. You can truly taste the quality of the fish.

Everything was prepared with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and great attention to flavor. Every bowl looked as amazing as it tasted!

The only thing I wish is that there were more places to sit and enjoy the food, as seating is quite limited. Other than that, Maguro Spot is an excellent place for fresh, high-quality poke, and we’ll definitely be back! 🌺🐟🍣“

At first I thought I wouldn't be able to try it, there wasn't much in the display. The young girl explained that they could make a fresh batch of what I decided on. I had their Spicy Ahi on sushi rice, yuzu cucumber with the Unagi sauce, and ginger. The Ahi was actually spicy...loved it! The creaminess and flavor was just right.“

“Never fails. You think the place is closed, you open the door and theres about 8 people standing room only, waiting for their orders. The girls work fast at slicing your fresh sashimi for salads, bowls and bentos. Frying salmon or ahi belly and hamachi Kama. And don’t forget about the laulau with kalua pig and lomi salmon plate. Why not ask for a side of poke. Always sooooo ono. Enjoy 😉“

“Popular place for steak and shrimp kinda hidden next to the italian restaurant. We had to line up to order, was given a color tag, then sat at the next available outside table with the server. The service was awesome. Food...if you like your steak medium rare like I do, think you have to say something otherwise came well done and chewy. Other than that everything else was good👍“

“It’s always a great experience at Tanaka of Tokyo East location! We had a table to ourselves this time which was lovely! We’ve seen the show many times so this was actually a nice change to just enjoy a nice meal. Joe and Eddie were great! Loved Eduard, the manager. “A MUST VISIT! I'm writing this review as a repeat customer. I've tried Fumi's when they were in the North Shore and I've tried their food twice now at the Ala Moana location and it's delicious!

I came this time because I really wanted to check out their Garlic Basil Chicken. If anyone has ever had TapEx Taiwanese style popcorn chicken in San Diego, then you will be very pleased with this dish. I love the balance of spice, texture, and smothering their delicious spicy garlic butter shrimp sauce on my rice.

“Very good food. I had the Thai yellow curry vegetarian, chow fun pad Thai tofu and a side of sticky rice. I am a meat eater but no worries it has plenty of flavor. The curry was the star of the show for me. Enough sweetness to be good but not over powering. The chow fun pad Thai was something different. For the me the chow fun definitely seemed to spread the flavor out better per bite. The pad Thai came out first and it was hard to stop eating that to try the curry. But the curry edged out the pad Thai for me in flavor. Both. Both are good!

For the parking the two separate signs are a little confusing. The lady in the restaurant says no need to pay the parking if you’re eating there. So it isn’t a sign up with a code for the first hour free kind of thing. I didn’t see any parking QR codes inside the restaurant. So do the usual scam check of scratching the edge of the QR code on the sign to make sure no one stuck a fake QR code on top of the real one.“

“Roy's continues to amaze us. They built a great reputation and continue to live up to it rather than resting on it. Their chef is continuing to improve on the traditional Roy's dishes that everyone loves, bringing newer tastes to the zucchini bao buns, the hibachi salmon, the butterfish. And he is bringing new dishes to the table that continue to make dining there interesting. We were a party of five last night and every dish hit the mark. Butterfish and salmon were high quality and perfectly prepared. The ribs were the best we've had. the bao buns are better than ever. And our guests loved the desserts. The service matches the high standards of the food perfectly. Great attentive waiters who know the menu and are helpful without overdoing it. Excellent service through the meal. And wines that match the food perfectly without being overpriced. Thank you Roy's for another outstanding evening.“
