“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“Here’s poke rice bowl is absolutely delicious! I chose the mixed meat option (which includes tuna, salmon, blue marlin, and cooked shrimp), served with rainbow sauce (made from spicy mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce). It was especially delicious mixed with the sushi rice, seaweed, and tofu!

“It was actually my second time to eat there , first time was not good experience at all , the lady seated us to the corner like im not eating to a fine dining, second my food that I ordered was very salty not happy at all ... i was celebrating my birthday. But this time i was looking again where to eat it's my birthday again, i thought maybe i give a second chance... i was happy this time ambiance, food and service was exceptional, will surely go there again.“

“It's been 5 years since I've had fresh catch. The poke was outstanding as usual, but I actually want to highlight the garlic chicken plate. The chicken was crispy, the garlic flavor was perfectly balance, and this subtle oil taste was the chef's kiss.

I won't go three more years before I stop by. The only knocks are the limited parking and no option to dine in. But the foot is great and it travels well. I had to drive to Kakaako from Kaphulu at 5 PM, which took 27 minutes, then park, and finally enter my condo. The garlic chicken remained crispy. The chicken was meaty as well, not just batter and skin.“

“We had a buffet lunch at Duke’s Waikiki on Monday. It was great value and so much variety. The garlic shrimp 🍤 is delicious.The salad bar was so fresh and a healthy option. What made our experience so great was our waitress Sasha. She was such a great worker and very attentive. There was soooo many staff on and she was the hardest working one by far. We were so impressed we told her manager Jeoff so she could be appreciated. Great staff are hard to find. As a business owner I noticed her work ethic was fantastic.“

“I wasn’t expecting to like this place as much as I did. I saw the prices and balked…charging the same price per pound for poke as Fresh Catch, Off the Hook, etc. However…unlike those other places, the poke here actually tastes really good. They have creative flavors like truffle ponzu salmon. Their garlic tare shoyu ahi comes with garlic chips sprinkled on top which is so tasty and addicting. And their spicy ahi poke is actually spicy! Incredible. Plus, they’re constantly making new batches of poke so you know that your fish hasn’t been cooking in the marinade for that long. It’s crazy to me that places like Off the Hook have half-hour long lines while there are no lines at places like this…I guess it’s one of the better kept poke secrets on the island. I’m a Foodland poke fanboy myself…but I’ll definitely come back here.“

“Ordering steaks from Hawaiian Prime has become a tradition for us. The quality is consistently outstanding and their team is always incredibly helpful. It feels good supporting a great local resource and the steaks never disappoint. Correction: the steaks AND seafood never disappoint. We ordered lobster tails for the first time this year… Simply amazing!“

“Never fails. You think the place is closed, you open the door and theres about 8 people standing room only, waiting for their orders. The girls work fast at slicing your fresh sashimi for salads, bowls and bentos. Frying salmon or ahi belly and hamachi Kama. And don’t forget about the laulau with kalua pig and lomi salmon plate. Why not ask for a side of poke. Always sooooo ono. Enjoy 😉“

“I am foodie from Japan, enjoy once or twice a month hotel buffet in Tokyo. But Orchids Sunday branch menu was the best ever. Not only does it taste good, but it also tastes good, fine scenery, number and placement of staff and their diligence noteworthy.“

“Waikiki Grill is another great stop in this little cluster of food trucks just a few blocks off the main drag. The area is easy to find, relaxed, and well worth the short walk if you want to get away from the busier tourist spots for a bit.

Everything about the setup feels casual and welcoming. You order from the truck, grab a spot at one of the outdoor picnic tables, and enjoy your food alongside a mix of locals and visitors. It has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and hang out for a while instead of just eating and moving on.

The people running Waikiki Grill were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt easy and genuine. This food-truck area turned out to be a great find, and Waikiki Grill fit right in with the relaxed local vibe.

Definitely worth walking a few extra blocks to check it out. Good food, good people, and a great casual place to stop for a meal.

“A MUST VISIT! I'm writing this review as a repeat customer. I've tried Fumi's when they were in the North Shore and I've tried their food twice now at the Ala Moana location and it's delicious!

I came this time because I really wanted to check out their Garlic Basil Chicken. If anyone has ever had TapEx Taiwanese style popcorn chicken in San Diego, then you will be very pleased with this dish. I love the balance of spice, texture, and smothering their delicious spicy garlic butter shrimp sauce on my rice.

Cashier was nice and patient with good follow up questions to get the order right. The outside seating (only option) is cozy, but also no breeze bc of placement. Pigeons were highly annoying.“

I’m from Oahu and haven’t had a favorite poke spot besides places I’ve been on Big Island or Foodland, but this place is an easy favorite.
