“Take out only. The have a vast variety of manapua, both steamed and baked. Staff is very friendly, efficient and puts a smile on my face. Makes a great impression when you are walking into a meeting, gathering, etc cause although everyone loves manapua, pork hash, half moon, rice cake, etc. Most people never think about this option which is far superior to donuts or other pastries.“

“This is the perfect hidden food place that locals go to. Good food, good prices and the service is practically non existent. Meaning, it's 99% take out. There is a small table outside but that's why it's cool. No nonsense food at a good price. I highly recommend the Bento #1, the Katsu and the fried chicken.
Parking: The parking is hard to find but if you wait for a few minutes someone will leave.“

“Food is surprisingly delicious for this place. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken and I got the bbq short rib. The portion sizes are huge, a mini is more than enough for one person. The chicken is juicy and incredibly flavorful and same for the short rib. The macaroni salad was also so good! My wife hates mayo and she loved it. The service was pretty meh, not bad not good, and atmosphere is close to a fast food joint. Overall if you’re looking for quick good food at a good price, this spot is for you.“

“recently visited Jackie's Diner, and it turned out to be a dependable neighborhood diner that captures the comfort and familiarity people expect from classic local breakfast and lunch spots. Located along Kamehameha Highway in Aiea, the restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that feels very much like a community gathering place. The space is straightforward and comfortable, with the kind of casual environment where regular customers and first-time visitors can both feel at ease.
The menu focuses on classic diner-style comfort food, with a strong emphasis on breakfast favorites and hearty plate-style meals. Items such as omelets, pancakes, fried rice, and other traditional diner staples make up much of the selection. The portions are generous and designed to be filling, which is typical of local diners that serve both residents and workers looking for a satisfying meal to start the day.
One of the highlights of the meal was the breakfast selection. The eggs were cooked properly, the pancakes had a light texture, and the savory dishes carried the familiar flavors that define classic diner cooking. While the presentation is simple, the focus is clearly on delivering consistent comfort food rather than elaborate plating.
Service during the visit was friendly and efficient. The staff maintained a welcoming attitude and helped keep the dining room moving at a comfortable pace. Diners like this often succeed because of their sense of familiarity and hospitality, and Jackie’s Diner maintains that approachable atmosphere well.
Another appealing aspect of the restaurant is the sense of community it creates. Many local diners become regular meeting places for residents, and Jackie’s appears to have that same role in the Aiea neighborhood. The environment encourages relaxed conversation and unhurried meals, which adds to the overall experience.
Overall, Jackie’s Diner delivers a solid and satisfying diner experience with dependable comfort food, generous portions, and welcoming service. It is the kind of place people return to for familiar flavors and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere.“

“I havnt been to L&L in a while but I feel like this one has some good business sense. The also sell a big side of pickled cucumber for $5 which I’d never seen. It was great because a basic side salad isn’t that nutritious or healthy with dressing.
I saw other sides too which were nice because although I love rice and Mac salad my wife likes more variety. (Mac salad was solid tooo)
Saw Chicken skin too which I want to try next time. It looked mean.
It’s also good that they had big batches made so I got my lunch so quick.
I got the mochiko chicken because they gave free samples when it was fresh and it got me hooked. I know free samples is pretty standard but I just respected how well they ran everything. Everyone was super nice too. Keep doing what you guys are doing. I wish I took more pictures but we were hungry and I decided to leave a review after we ate.
Good price for 2026 too! $11 for a loaded mini and $5 for loaded pickled cucumber. (Cucumber ain’t cheap these days and so many places are skimpy with it)“

“Maybe the versions not in the mall are a little better. Food wasn't bad just not as good as I thought it would be. We all got a variety. Chicken sandwich was pretty great and fresh. I have the Loco moco which was alright. For sure edible, I finished it. Low quality burger patty but still not bad. We had a burger also not bad. Tots and fries pretty great. Basic. Mac salad was way too much mayo but I hear thats how it's supposed to be which I understand. Honestly BEST thing was that slushy float. YUM! Anyhow overall not a bad stop but would try to go to one not in the mall.“

“Very good food. Great value. Great service. Favorite place in Aiea.“
“We got the chop steak kit a few days ago. It came with everything we needed to prepare the dish even the oil. We had enough for 2 dinners and we truly enjoyed it. Lots of veggies, the way we like it and the meat was plentiful and tender. It was so tasty. We look forward to making future purchases of different dishes. The kits are wonderful since we can’t go to the grocery store too often.“
“The only reason I left off 1 star is because the owner or manager needs to take the time to update the prices on the menu but besides that the food was good. I got Ahi katsu so you can't really mess that up lol but the front register girl Miya was an absolute ray of sunshine. Super sweet and answered all my questions and entertained my small talk. Great customer service“
