“We got the chop steak kit a few days ago. It came with everything we needed to prepare the dish even the oil. We had enough for 2 dinners and we truly enjoyed it. Lots of veggies, the way we like it and the meat was plentiful and tender. It was so tasty. We look forward to making future purchases of different dishes. The kits are wonderful since we can’t go to the grocery store too often.“

“Stepping into Marujyu Market is like stepping back into the Hawaii. Here they have all of the classic Hawaiian food dishes like Laulau, Lomi Salmon, Kalua Pig, Chicken Long Rice, Poke, etc. The Kalua Pig was so tender and juicy with so much flavor, definitely a favorite of mine. If you no can decide what to get they get a good selection of Hawaiian combo plates plus you can you two and three choice plates too. Have not had any problem finding parking even when we went New Year Eve.“

While I was hoping for sunshine, planning for a possible light sprinkle… what I, our guests, and our vendors did not plan or expect.. was for— was a MONSOON on our wedding day! I don’t mean to say it just rained… I mean, it literally POURED. There were even flash flood warnings! Every single guest and vendor was drenched from head to toe. They say rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, and ours started this day with our vendors. We decided on family style and the memoirs team even let Nick and I help put out some of the first platters to the tables, as a nice surprise to our guests! They also let us surprise our guests and get behind the bar to bartend during happy hour!! Our guests LOVED that!! From initial reach out and partnership with our wedding planner Carly, to food tasting, planning, prep, execution and even follow up after our wedding, our entire experience with Memoirs was INCREDIBLE. We are so blessed to have had them on our team for our special day. Not only are they passionate about their food and service, but you can tell just how much of a family they are, and how much they care about their clients! We are SO lucky to have had them help us celebrate our big, wet day!!! Love Note from the Groom: Memoirs brought their A game to our wedding and it RAINED at an out door venue. They literally could not have been more dedicated to us. They set up all day in the rain, they cooked in the rain, they served in the rain, they cleared in the rain and they did it with smiles on their faces the whole time. The food is all Hawaii local, and it was AMAZING. We did a family style service and the food came out beautiful and delicious! We could not have possibly imagined a better team to put together a hillside table service in the POURING RAIN! A special shout out to Taylor the bartender for saving the groom the last shot of his favorite tequila!“

“808 Catering provided excellent service and delicious food. The on-site catering staff (Amy, Mari, Alex, Keith) arrived on time and made sure the food was ready and plentiful. They served 75 guests and took care of everything. The place was spotless when they left. My friends raved about the food and it was so plentiful that most took food home! My husband and I were so glad we used 808 Catering. We would hire them again and highly recommend them. We opted for grazing tables; the food was beautifully presented and tasty with a combination of of local favorites and mainland charcuterie.“

“Coordinating and booking a dinner at a vacation spot was super easy. Lelaine was very responsive and answered questions with knowledge. Chef Sean was amazing. Not one issue came up. He worked around everything and best of all, the food was amazing! With small children present, it was less stressful on everyone to have Aloha Culinary Group prepare a dinner at our place than dragging the kids out to a restaurant. Everything was on time and perfect. Highly recommended for your next function or family dinner.“

“I have been here twice; once for breakfast and once for plate lunch. Both were solid meals, good portions and I got out under $15. I had a Portuguese sausage omelet for breakfast and chicken katsu curry for lunch. The picture is half way through the regular size portion. The interior doesn't have a lot of seating but it's clean and air conditioned.. . I highly recommend this Ewa Beach hole in the wall. Plus they cater. Ono-licious.“

“I went to several great poke places during my trip to Hawaii, and this one was by far the best. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. They say they don't use frozen fish, so the tuna sashimi was so fresh and the seasoning was perfect, making it the best. Even my 11-year-old son enjoyed it very much!

“Update: I've been coming since this place was created as an offshoot of el palenque. I like showing support to businesses I like so off and on when I'm on island I stop here. The menu is quite expensive and has a lot of variety for those on any craving within the Mexican genre. Recently I've done two orders of burritos and one order of fries with a drink. I never had a coffee from here so when I had to work one morning I thought to give it a shot. Despite the name and me thinking it was horchata with hints of coffee it was quite coffee forward with hints of horchata which was regardless quite good. The burritos were a 2 for one chorizo egg burrito and a Cali burrito. The burritos in general were somewhat smaller than they originally were when they started which were smaller than what I'm used to from other places even palenque depending on what burrito you order. Taste as always though is still exceptional and filling is not chimped out. As for the fries this was ginormous even compared to palenque with the same cheeses and seasonings as there while also having solid salsas to boot. Everything was perfect on that and loved every second of it. Overall if the burritos were bigger for the price it's an easy 5 but regardless a solid place I'll always support.

Love everything the el palenque fam come up with and barrio café continues to remind me of being in la again. Would toss a 5 but from what I ate the portions can be smaller than I hoped compared to their other place down the road. Love the food though.“

We were a bit hesitant at first with not being able to try any food beforehand, however the menu looked mouthwatering, the customer service was friendly and we felt the pricing was quite reasonable so we trusted the process and booked them.
