Koa Pancake House Reviews
It's certainly changed, but "Koa PH" awards still on the wall! The blueberry waffle was tough, corned beef hash was almost all potatoes. And the mop left in the bucket in the dining area after gal mopped the floor. Wife said her omelette was good. No butter, just "100% vegan, gluten free" "buttery spread. Corn syrup, too? Sigh, I hadn't been there for few years; usually Wahiawa side. Mebbe just a bad day? June 10, 2024

Koa Pancake House is a popular restaurant known for its generous portions and homestyle cooking. Located upstairs and accessible by escalator, it offers a variety of breakfast options, including pancakes, omelettes, fried rice, loco moco, and corned beef hash. Many reviews highlight the large size of the pancakes, especially the macadamia nut pancakes served with extra coconut sauce, which many find delicious. The fried rice with Portuguese sausage is also highly praised and considered just as good as remembered from previous visits. Guests appreciate the friendly and patient staff, making the experience comfortable, although some mention that service can be minimal, with only one delivery of food and limited table service. The restaurant's atmosphere is simple, with paper plates and fake butter, which some find a bit disappointing. Parking is easier early in the day, and the restaurant is considered a great value, especially for those leaving Waikiki. Visitors from afar often rate it as the best breakfast in Hawaii, citing great prices, big portions, and tasty food. Overall, Koa Pancake House is a local favorite, offering a cozy, no-frills dining experience with satisfying meals.
