“Zippy’s is basically the Hawaiian version of Denny’s, with all the comfort-food classics and local favorites. I ordered the Lau Lau and Kalua Pork combo, which was one of their Friday specials, and it was such a satisfying Hawaiian plate. My husband got the Korean Fried Chicken, and it definitely did not disappoint! Crispy, flavorful, and really tasty. Zippy’s is a great spot when you want something casual, comforting, and authentically Hawaii-style. 🌺🍽“

“A solid ramenya inside the Lanai at the mall. This spot offers a variety of ramen options. Prices are a bit on the higher side but the bowls come in larger portions. I went with the half size spicy tan tan ramen with char siu which was perfect since I wasn’t too hungry. Otherwise the regular size would have been the way to go. The char siu pork was tender with a light chew while the noodles were al dente though thinner than I would have preferred. The real star was the broth which was flavorful, balanced, not overly salty or spicy, and tied the whole dish together beautifully. Seating is limited at the counter but you can always use the Lanai food court area if you prefer.“

“Came in and ordered Teriyaki beef Saimin, mini Loco Moco, Salmon burger with a side of fries, and a mini Chicken Katsu. Very delicious, the chicken was crispy, salmon was cooked well, noodles in the Saimin were not over cooked, and the Loco Moco was great! Highly recommend stopping in here!

Weird that there was bits of chopped potatoes in my adobo fried rice omelet. i've definitely had better elsewhere but for a food court concession it was ok! Not bad! “I appreciated having a canes in Hawaii! My girls loved the familiarity and I loved the fact that I could get a gallon to tea to take with us. Food was good. Service was nice and fast! It’s in a food court but we never had trouble finding some where to sit. We did have to clean our table.“

I will be visiting Oahu on a stopover before I go on a cruise in November and I’ve always told my wife about Gracie‘s. “Shout out to Giovanni Pastrami in Waikiki. First of all, they screwed up! Somehow our ticket was missed in the kitchen, and after we had waited nearly an hour for our food, our waitress came and told us what happened and that they were preparing our meal now. She was very apologetic and very professional. Then the head chef came out from the kitchen and personally apologized and told us we were getting a 25% discount for our extra long wait. The food was very good and we were quite full. But then, one more olive branch appeared in the form of a complimentary brownie/ice cream dessert!
