Flying in from San Francisco, one of my 1st stops us always Zippy’s
Casual friendly atmosphere.
Delicious food. Love Portuguese soup and clam chowder. The corn bread fried and buttery.

Had to try the Portuguese Bean Soup and found it was as delicious as I imagined it would be. It was a stick to your ribs meal in a bowl, similar to a stellar version of Minestrone soup. Walked in and ordered and got it quickly from the friendly staff. Savored it in the rental car while my wife enjoyed a brownie I got her. Two thumbs up!
Comfort food at its finest. Traditional local favorites like Moco Loco and good old hamburgers as well.
There’s the full service restaurant and takeout with an area to sit and enjoy your meal.
The location couldn’t be better. It’s across the street from Foster Botanical Garden and close to all the downtown churches and temples. A great place for Sunday brunch.
