“Best hashbrowns - ever! Breakfast here is always the crowd pleaser. I’ve taken all my ohana here and everyone has been happy. Great menu, extensive sides, rice, mac salad, and no meat options for vegetarians - everything you’d expect on a breakfast menu and more. The best the coffee too!“

“Great hole in the wall mom and pop shop. My family was kraving traditional korean food and not the usual hawaiian plates and this place served it up properly. The bonchon was kimchi, bean sprouts, radish, and krab salad and was very good.

We ordered several dishes all which hit the spot.

Fish jeon: marinated fish and dipped in egg before being fried. Soft and slight crunchy edges served with a dipping sauce. First time having this and was not disappointed. 10/10

Kalbi: traditional marinated beef short ribs served over onions. Tender and tasty 10/10

Hot stone bibimbap: beef, veggies and rice served in a hot stone with gochujang sauce and the rice gets crispy. Very delicious 10/10.

Seafood tofu soup. Full of shrimp and octopus and a egg dropped in the middle while still boiling, quite flavorful. 10/10

Being a Korean from Los Angeles this place held its own and I will 100% be back next time I am in oahu. As long as you are ok with a no frills super casual restaurant this place will hit.“

“ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi).

From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that’s the wafu steak, and it’s absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good.

While I probably wouldn’t come back specifically for the pho, I’d come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd.

Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.“

“The crew at this location is awesome!!!! They were slammed tonight, but they were literally skating and helping customers at the registers. They all kept their cool and were extremely professional even when customers were rude and impatient. I personally understand being short-handed during busy times, so I hold nothing against them. “There's not enough space to right the good things about this place. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and acknowledged by everyone, including the sushi chefs. Water and drink order is perfectly timed. Whether you order teishoku complete meals or sushi, the flavor and and portions are spot on. If you choose to sit at the sushi counter, the spread is just amazing. From white fish, tuna, to shellfish and sometimes even a fruit or plant to cleanse the pallet. I would recommend reservations as this place is always busy. Takeout is also very good!“

“The luau itself was great. The only issues we had were check in and the bar. Check in could and should have been more streamlined. It seemed like it was the first time they ever did this event because they were clueless on how to check everyone in and get us inside. And the bar line was nuts. If everyone has a free drink ticket, those drinks should have been ready to go and not at the same line as paid drinks. Missed all the beginning activities due to the line. Food and luau itself were amazing. All the food was unbelievably good. That line flew and getting seconds was easy and encouraged. The show was fantastic! The chief's commentary was hilarious and everyone with us enjoyed the show!“

Wife and I were in the area to look for Halloween costumes at Party Hawaii and she wanted to stop by to eat lunch thinking it was a Tanaka RAMEN. Glad she made that mistake, because Tanaka SAIMIN will now be one of my favorite restaurants when we are in this area.“

What more can you ask for? This is a homey, family run business, not a flashy trendy eatery. You get smiles and hugs if you’re local. There are laughs when you take too long to decide or drop a menu. The food is piping hot, fresh, and a reduction of sublime simplicity.

My sandwich, I will remember you with your spicy pork in a crispy and chewy roll. The cup for dipping, YES DIPPING, while a stand alone delectable, is married to that sandwich. They need each other. Please dip. Adding the pepper sauce to any part of the meal adds a spicy harmony but don’t get caught licking the ramekin. Not harmonious to your table mates. Finally, when the fam/staff recommends a dessert, just nod and be prepared for the delicious exit ramp to complete contentment.

This is a friendly, clean, quick, delicious, and soul breathing family owned restaurant with tight parking spaces and no bathroom (the only negative). Please enjoy.“

“I was excited to try this place after hearing lots of positive reviews. I was going to order online but was not pleased with the additional fees driving up the cost when the pizzas are already crazy expensive. We ended up going to order in person to avoid those fees only to be charged a 3% fee for using a credit card. Also the menu in person has higher prices than online. The pizza is huge and it is good but too expensive. $30 for a pepperoni pizza, $45 for specialty pizzas? Crazy to me!“

It's nice to be able to pick what goes into your ramen as often time at other restaurants there's always something that I'm not too big a fan of, or nothing enough of something I like. The sever was attentive and wonderfully friendly. After a tasty hot meal you get to cool down with a free shave ice dessert (with Ramen purchase) which, like everything else, was delicious. My partner got the thai tea and said it was great. For the price and the customization options, I can't recommend it enough.“
