“Best hashbrowns - ever! Breakfast here is always the crowd pleaser. I’ve taken all my ohana here and everyone has been happy. Great menu, extensive sides, rice, mac salad, and no meat options for vegetarians - everything you’d expect on a breakfast menu and more. The best the coffee too!“
“I have been here twice; once for breakfast and once for plate lunch. Both were solid meals, good portions and I got out under $15. I had a Portuguese sausage omelet for breakfast and chicken katsu curry for lunch. The picture is half way through the regular size portion. The interior doesn't have a lot of seating but it's clean and air conditioned.. . I highly recommend this Ewa Beach hole in the wall. Plus they cater. Ono-licious.“

“I was visiting Hawaii and decided to go to this location because it was close to where I was staying and I was running errands in the immediate area and I’m familiar with this food chain. But I don’t recommend this location because the service was horrible and the food was worse! I have been to L& L in California and the food was AMAZING! I couldn’t eat the food because it tasted warmed up and the macaroni salad was sour so I tossed it and went to another location and the food was cooked to order and I was very pleased.“

“I just stumbled into this place as a tourist but it is a gem! All the food was delicious, fresh, and made to order by caring employees whom I assume were the owners. I had the bulgogi and ate off the plates of the people I was with and I wish I could try everything on the sizable menu.“

“This was my first time here. I ordered the black garlic ramen with extra charsiu, a dish I regularly order when trying new ramen places. The ramen was good, I do wish there was a little more noodles. The charsiu was okay, slightly over cooked. The half boiled egg was very over cooked, yolk was chalky.
The service was very good. The staff was polite and fast. I greatly appreciate the free extra gyoza they gave me.“

“I recently dined at Bird of Paradise Restaurant, and overall it was a pleasant and relaxing dining experience on the west side of Oahu. Located within the Hoakalei Country Club area, the restaurant benefits from a scenic setting that immediately sets a calm tone for the meal. The views of the golf course create an open and peaceful environment that feels slightly removed from the busier parts of Ewa Beach. Large windows allow natural light to fill the dining room, which adds to the comfortable atmosphere and makes the surrounding greenery feel like part of the experience.
The dining space itself has a clean, modern island aesthetic with a layout that feels spacious and welcoming. It is the kind of environment that works well for a casual lunch, relaxed dinner, or small gathering with friends or family. The restaurant strikes a good balance between casual and polished without feeling overly formal.
The menu focuses on approachable island-inspired dishes and familiar comfort foods. The seafood options stood out, highlighting the freshness that you would expect from a restaurant in Hawaii. The kitchen appears to emphasize simple preparation and balanced flavors rather than overly complicated techniques, which works well for the style of food being served. Portions were satisfying, and the presentation was neat and appealing without trying to be overly elaborate.
Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. The staff checked in regularly and maintained a welcoming attitude that made the experience comfortable. While the service felt relaxed rather than highly formal, it matched the casual resort-style atmosphere of the restaurant and contributed to an easygoing dining experience.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the visit was the setting itself. Dining with open views of the golf course adds a sense of space and tranquility that enhances the meal. It is the type of environment where guests can comfortably take their time and enjoy the surroundings while eating.
Overall, Bird of Paradise Restaurant delivers a solid and enjoyable dining experience with good food, friendly service, and a scenic location that enhances the atmosphere. While it may not aim for fine dining complexity, it succeeds in offering reliable island-style cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting.“

“The crew at this location is awesome!!!! They were slammed tonight, but they were literally skating and helping customers at the registers. They all kept their cool and were extremely professional even when customers were rude and impatient. I personally understand being short-handed during busy times, so I hold nothing against them. All I saw was 3 guys making it happen. Kudos to the young kid at the register!!!!!“

“ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi).
From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that’s the wafu steak, and it’s absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good.
While I probably wouldn’t come back specifically for the pho, I’d come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd.
Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.“

“Our first stop in Hawaii after catching my high school basketball game was at Ramen Ya in Ewa. These restaurants offer a variety of local comfort food and you can do combos if you can’t make up your mind. We had pan fried gyoza as an appetizer. I haven’t had Mochiko chicken so thats what I ordered… plates in Hawaii usually come with white rice and macaroni salad. My son ordered the spicy ramen. The portions are huge so you have to have a big appetite or you’re taking leftovers home. The food was very good, we eat here every time we visit, my son ate here all the time when he was stationed at Hickam AFB. The restaurant is not very big and its no frills decorated which is standard for these kind of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the prices for Hawaii are good. Definitely recommend this place if you’re hungry….“

“Coral Rocks & Fairways: Scouting Coral Creek’s Layout Smartgolfcourses stopped by Coral Creek Golf Course to check out the grounds. The coral rock formations really frame the course beautifully. Everything from the pro shop to the starter area felt organized. Watched a few drives on Hole 10 Looks like a solid Robin Nelson design that demands accuracy. Good vibes all around.“

“Oh how lucky I am to have stumbled across a place like this. No clue why it’s not more popular. The inside is kinda small with only one table and 4 chairs so, the atmosphere rating is a bit low but that does not take away from the absolutely delicious food. Ate lunch with my grandparents, spent about $15 per person. The guy working the counter was nice and super patient with us. The food came out in under 5 minutes, super flavorful, and the gyoza was nice and crispy. Will definitely be coming back here again! 5/5 stars!“

“I would recommend making a restaurant here in Las Vegas. Genki is a staple back home in Hawaii, and no sushi place here is up to par. I feel like you folks will make a lot of money, especially because of the amount of locals here.“

“Generous servings per order. Food tasty. Came to table hot but food got cold quickly. Teapot was refilled fairly quick. Usually busy but I think we caught a day & time when not so busy. I’ve been here when all tables were full sometimes they have family dinner parties there. It can be a madhouse. Family dining, casual dress, atmosphere comfortable. Friendly wait staff. Dining room fairly clean.“
