“I recently dined at Bird of Paradise Restaurant, and overall it was a pleasant and relaxing dining experience on the west side of Oahu. Located within the Hoakalei Country Club area, the restaurant benefits from a scenic setting that immediately sets a calm tone for the meal. The views of the golf course create an open and peaceful environment that feels slightly removed from the busier parts of Ewa Beach. Large windows allow natural light to fill the dining room, which adds to the comfortable atmosphere and makes the surrounding greenery feel like part of the experience.
The dining space itself has a clean, modern island aesthetic with a layout that feels spacious and welcoming. It is the kind of environment that works well for a casual lunch, relaxed dinner, or small gathering with friends or family. The restaurant strikes a good balance between casual and polished without feeling overly formal.
The menu focuses on approachable island-inspired dishes and familiar comfort foods. The seafood options stood out, highlighting the freshness that you would expect from a restaurant in Hawaii. The kitchen appears to emphasize simple preparation and balanced flavors rather than overly complicated techniques, which works well for the style of food being served. Portions were satisfying, and the presentation was neat and appealing without trying to be overly elaborate.
Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. The staff checked in regularly and maintained a welcoming attitude that made the experience comfortable. While the service felt relaxed rather than highly formal, it matched the casual resort-style atmosphere of the restaurant and contributed to an easygoing dining experience.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the visit was the setting itself. Dining with open views of the golf course adds a sense of space and tranquility that enhances the meal. It is the type of environment where guests can comfortably take their time and enjoy the surroundings while eating.
Overall, Bird of Paradise Restaurant delivers a solid and enjoyable dining experience with good food, friendly service, and a scenic location that enhances the atmosphere. While it may not aim for fine dining complexity, it succeeds in offering reliable island-style cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting.“

“Coral Rocks & Fairways: Scouting Coral Creek’s Layout Smartgolfcourses stopped by Coral Creek Golf Course to check out the grounds. The coral rock formations really frame the course beautifully. Everything from the pro shop to the starter area felt organized. Watched a few drives on Hole 10 Looks like a solid Robin Nelson design that demands accuracy. Good vibes all around.“

“Can't beat the atmosphere of a sports themed restaurant...add chicken wings in a variety of sauces and rubs, and the deep formed cheese curds and you have the perfect place to watch the game. We like the trivia that runs on the TV that you are able to play along with on the app, makes for a fun family competition while dining.“

“My friend and I flew in today and are flying out tomorrow morning. She said we need Poke! So after looking up reviews and hearing good things about Monarch ..we were on our way! A short Uber ride later we ended up in this little place with huge portions of different kinds of Poke. I am not a a spicy type eater so the poke nachos I had were perfect and the Ube cheese cake delicious. So fresh! I'm glad we found this hidden gem and I hope you find it too!“

“My friend host her husband birthday party today. I've been here 3 other times. Today take top prize on service and foods. The foods was soooo flavorful. From the variety of 4 different salads to main courses and desserts. I could not stop talking about the flavors. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Not too salty, not too sweet, not bland. Just the exact perfect balance. I don't recall even at a 5 stars restaurants with every single items being perfectly seasoned. I ate everything! Except for the almond cookies and gau. These culinary students have big potential in their future. The instructor, hats off to you!!! The beef pepper, the eggplant. Soooo delicious. Great job!“

“I arrived at 11 am and they were already sold out on all their food except for the beef stew, so I bought the beef stew with once scoop of rice and macaroni salad and green salad, which came to $11. The server was very nice in explaining about what she got left and she gave so much that I was barely able to finish and the food was very good. This is a definitely a hidden cheap eats gem in Waipahu.“
“Manalo Lounge is a solid spot if you're looking for great drinks, small bites, and a relaxed upscale vibe. The open-air setting is beautiful, especially around sunset, and it feels like the perfect place to unwind without the stuffiness of a formal restaurant. The cocktails were well-crafted and balanced, not overly sweet, and the food was flavorful despite being more share-style portions. Everything came out looking fresh and thoughtfully plated. It's definitely more of a lounge experience than a full dinner, but that's part of the appeal. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff did a great job making recommendations. Prices are what you'd expect for a resort lounge, but the atmosphere and quality make it worth it. Overall, a great place for drinks, light bites, and good vibes — especially if you're catching the sunset or starting your night at the Four Seasons.“
“The food, service and value is REALLY good!“
“Outstanding flavors! The chicken was so delicious I didn’t use any of the sauces (BBQ). So I’m going to have to make another trip. I did use their soy sauce blend in the rice. Big flavor and perfect salt level. Highly recommend. Eat outside or grab it and go. Lunch platters for $15. Perfectly priced.“

“We went here twice for breakfast while staying at Aulani. It was a cheaper option, and the food was wonderful. The bacon jalapeno fried rice hit the spot without breaking the bank. We shared the fruit pancakes with that and were very satisfied. We walked, but there were a few parking spots.“

“After spending what we thought would be commonplace, a lot of $$$ at downtown restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised at E Ohi's prices, which for the food, which was very good BTW, was a delight.
SPAM, if you have not tried it for breakfast, you're missing a palatable staple of the island.“

“Can’t really say to much about the service and atmosphere because it was take out but staff was friendly and we revived our food In a timely way. The kalua nachos are great, the cheese and ingredients are mixed throughout the nachos and not just stack in top leaving nothing on the bottom like other places. Would recommend.“

“Always friendly help. A place to meet neighborhood friends for drinks and, for the athletic, darts. Service not the fastest, but that's the joy of that long time dining/drinking place. Been going there for the past twenty plus years.“
“Head to Halawa and grab some lunch at Bombuchaz. We ordered the hamburger steak plate and the #3 special with beef stew, chicken long rice, and pan laulau. Yummers! The stew uses short ribs which made it even better. The flavors was spot on. We went there at 10:30 so only had about 3 people in line. I've heard they sell out so get there early and get your grub on!“
“Great early breakfast spot thats open from 5am near the old Animal Quarantine enterance in Halawa Valley where Grandma G's used to be. Tracey and her crew always up early slinging the best brekkies and *Best Mushroom and cheese omelets according to my work crew* Add extra meats for the ultimate breakfast🤙Nuff said.“
“The space is really good. The food was really good in my taste. I wish they had some toddler type foods but then again you're paying by event. They usually accommodate to the party. The people are friendly to work with. I love that Samoan lady who helped us ??“

“Ruby Tuesday in the Moanaloa shopping center is fantastic. A lot of military members and their families eat there. They are responsive to large groups who gather to eat as well as have short meetings during their time there. And, use of their robots to carry the meals to the table saves the wait staff's backs!“

“Decided to try here for lunch...try something different, plus I was hungry after grocery shopping. HI Steaks is located inside the Pearl City Foodland, so I found it to be very convenient. The kitchen can easily be seen from the counter and the kitchen looked organized and clean. I ended up ordering a Kalua Pork & Steak plate ($18.99) and substituted the rice for greens (+$1.99), also ordered a build your own bowl ($16.00), with Garlic Chicken. I was a bit bummed that they charged extra for substituting the rice with greens, but oh well. My order came quickly, only waited for a couple of minutes, and then I found an open table at the dining area adjacent to HI Steaks. The portion size of the plate & bowl was reasonable for the price. Steak was good, tender and cooked perfectly for me. Garlic chicken was seasoned well, not too overpowering. The sides were all good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food and would definitely come here again!“

“We were actually impressed for a museum restaurant. Prices were about what you'd pay at a regular fast casual restaurant and the flavour was pretty good. My main complaint is the food wasn't very hot at all (actually the pork was basically cold), but it was tastier than I expected for museum food. If you're at Pearl Harbor for a day, this is a pretty reasonable lunch stop.
Service was also pretty friendly and the atmosphere was nice since it wasn't too crowded.“

They had tarps/tents up so it may be for the Saturday evening event. The restaurant m/club house is open to the public - located on Army (golf) property.“
