“The hostess, Dani, was gracious and welcoming. She welcomed everyone with a smile and verified everyone's reservations. She asked questions to connect with each of us. Our waiter was Dexter and he was quite the professional. He always asked permission to remove plates or to touch anything on our table. The food was fabulous! Definitely 5 star food. It is a 3 course meal (prixe fix). The house iced tea is so good and worth the $3 upcharge. Make your reservation. You will not regret it!“

“Decided to try here for lunch...try something different, plus I was hungry after grocery shopping. HI Steaks is located inside the Pearl City Foodland, so I found it to be very convenient. The kitchen can easily be seen from the counter and the kitchen looked organized and clean. I ended up ordering a Kalua Pork & Steak plate ($18.99) and substituted the rice for greens (+$1.99), also ordered a build your own bowl ($16.00), with Garlic Chicken. I was a bit bummed that they charged extra for substituting the rice with greens, but oh well. My order came quickly, only waited for a couple of minutes, and then I found an open table at the dining area adjacent to HI Steaks. The portion size of the plate & bowl was reasonable for the price. Steak was good, tender and cooked perfectly for me. Garlic chicken was seasoned well, not too overpowering. The sides were all good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food and would definitely come here again!“

“Makaila was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Even when things got busy because she was the only waitress on the bar side, she checked on us regularly and made us feel like a priority. Great service can completely change a dining experience, and Makaila definitely made ours a great one. Buffalo Wild Wings is lucky to have her! “A wonderful experience at Maze in Honolulu, largely thanks to the exceptionally warm service, strong flavor and sauce work, and consistently good dishes from beginning to dessert.

What sticks in our mind were the oyster (meaty oyster that didn't feel powdery as some larger ones do, balanced but not overwhlemed by the sauce on top), the basil jook that came with the scallop dish (so well developed), the Washugyu and daikon broth that came with the main.

Also want to compliment the pacing of the meal as we never felt like we were waiting for a long time for any of the dishes. Pretty much perfectly well paced for preferences.

Overall, adding in everything into the experience would not hesitate to come back here again.“
