The service was exceptional. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. As someone who enjoys exploring cuisines outside of my own cultural background, I can sometimes find myself feeling intimidated when ordering. However, the kindness and hospitality here made the experience one to remember, and I left feeling both well-fed and welcomed.

The portions were generous enough for leftovers, and the flavors were just as delicious the next day after the herbs and sauces had blended into the broth. The restaurant itself also has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to slow down and enjoy the meal.

“Impressed by Pan's Kitchen yesterday! I ordered the fresh grilled ahi, and let me tell you, it was incredible. With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“

“Drove here from Wahiawa and through a flash flood and it was still well worth it. I haven’t had a fresh beef patty since living in NYC. Beef and cheese was top notch! I’m not a vegetarian but the impossible beef was also too good to be a meat substitute. They have a sauce that adds a sweet heat and I highly recommend. They were sold out of coco bread when I went but I will be returning. 9.5/10.“

“Now called Javi’s. Food was great! The waitress was super nice and attentive. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh. I wish the queso dip wasn’t over $12, but the other dishes are reasonably priced. BYOB at the moment until they get their liquor license. There’s a market next door that might have alcoholic beverages. There’s parking lot is a little cramped, so massive trucks would be hard to park in there.“

“We have lived in Kāneʻohe for more than 15 years, and throughout that time, we have wished for a local restaurant with great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and affordable prices. With Munga, I finally feel that we have found it.

To be honest, I am often skeptical of pan-Asian restaurants because trying to cover several cuisines can sometimes result in mediocre food across the board. What is so surprising about Munga is that they genuinely seem to pull it off. Their sushi is very good, their Thai dishes are excellent, and we have also really enjoyed their Chinese dishes.

If you have not been yet, I strongly recommend giving Munga a try. I am really rooting for this restaurant to succeed so that we can continue to count on having a delicious, affordable, and welcoming option close to home—without having to drive all the way into town.“

“Picked up party trays for a small New Year's celebration. The food was delicious and all our favorites: chicken katsu, gyoza, pork fried noodles, shabu beef curry. The curry can be messy in a tray but they double-wrapped it in foil to keep it from spilling. It is the best curry anywhere. Everyone at Sumo Ramen Kaneohe is always willing to do whatever it takes to make us happy. The prices are good too. They made our New Year special.“

“First time coming to Saito and Pho. It was very quick to get seated. We also got our food within like 10-15 minutes. The chicken Katsu was nice and crispy and with the side order of curry was also good. The curry was not spicy but was also thick enough for it to work well with the Katsu. Overall, it kinda gave a nice mom and pop kinda restaurant where it felt like you just came back home.“

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, crisp, and flavorful, and it felt like a genuinely authentic Thai papaya salad rather than something made for tourists. Great balance of flavors and a nice portion for the price. Simple little food truck with delicious, freshly prepared food. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. “My friend and I had such a great experience at Gyu-Kaku, and a big part of that was because of our server Karl. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinly kind. He also makes the best li-hing-mui margaritas! He checked on us consistently with out being overbearing. Karl's energy really stood out to us, and we told him that we'd only ask for him when we come back! If you're dining here, definitely ask for Karl!“

Don't let the mall location fool you this place is a sleeper and I'm glad it hasn't blown up like others who I'd say don't deserve it. Yes there's institutions like soons or dong yang but bang for your buck this place slaps harder than both. Despite the covid induced price increases this place still heaps the portions and continues to be arguably the best seasoned meat jun I've had no sauce aside. I'll always support this place and die on the hill it's a top 2/3 spot on island.“

It was my first time eating there and sky was very helpful and helped me decide what I should get.

I ate in the mall so it came in a nice bowl with a spoon and wooden chopsticks. I believe the dishes we eat out of especially with Japanese food and ramen help the whole experience
