“After my left knee replacement surgery in December 2023 I experienced a gout attack in that whole area of my leg. I was bedridden and couldn’t put weight on it. A decision was made to find a skilled nursing/rehab facility. I was able to get a bed at Aloha Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kaneohe.
From my 1st day the admin office, nursing, and CNA’s were Great!! The physical therapist staff were also terrific!! Love it there for my total of 20days! I was able to get a hair cut too! If I had do it again I would definitely go there hands down!! Plenty Mahalo’s to Aloha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kaneohe!👍🏽🤙🏽💪🏽💪🏽”

“I absolutely loved this place. Ivan was our server and he was fantastic, never missed when our glasses were even half empty. He made polite conversation and was super friendly. The egg drop soup was the perfect texture, it was so thick and had a rich taste. The gyoza was sooo good too! I’ve never had any other this good. Our entrees were amazing. I got the beef lo mein and my husband got the Mongolian beef. I’ve never seen my husband eat his entire plate at a restaurant. The desserts were so good too! Highly recommend the strawberry mochi ice cream! Safe to say we will definitely be back! Absolute perfection!”

“My friend and I had such a great experience at Gyu-Kaku, and a big part of that was because of our server Karl. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinly kind. He also makes the best li-hing-mui margaritas! He checked on us consistently with out being overbearing. Karl's energy really stood out to us, and we told him that we'd only ask for him when we come back! If you're dining here, definitely ask for Karl!”

The vents are weak, so you can put the vent sucker right up against the grill plate and still get smoke blowing in your face. Good place though otherwise.”

“Totally not your normal sushi restaurant, it’s an amazing experience. Robot assistants to bring your drinks, conveyor belt trains to bring your food orders. So many great menu options, anything with the eel sauce is sweet and delicious. The tempura and fried rolls were delivered hot, perfect portions and artistically arranged on the plates. We LOVE coming here and will always come back!”

“My husband & I come here all the time because it’s close to us and close to the movies, and reminds us of home. We have had pretty awful experiences almost every time we’ve been as far as service is concerned, but we continue to go because of the food. We went last night and had the best service we’ve ever had! Our waitress, Nick, was the best! Friendly, smart, attentive, and speedy! And she was good at upselling. She was great and my husband and I kept saying it was the best experience we have had at this location. Food also came out faster than usual, which was awesome especially considering it was BOGO Thursday. :)”

“Drove here from Wahiawa and through a flash flood and it was still well worth it. I haven’t had a fresh beef patty since living in NYC. Beef and cheese was top notch! I’m not a vegetarian but the impossible beef was also too good to be a meat substitute. They have a sauce that adds a sweet heat and I highly recommend. They were sold out of coco bread when I went but I will be returning. 9.5/10.”

I wish the queso dip wasn’t over $12, but the other dishes are reasonably priced. BYOB at the moment until they get their liquor license. There’s a market next door that might have alcoholic beverages. There’s parking lot is a little cramped, so massive trucks would be hard to park in there.”

“My son and I visited Ayame Curry And Ramen House for the first time this past Friday. We have to be cautious with any new restaurant because of allergies. I called beforehand, and the person on the phone was pleasant and assured me that the sauce would not affect our particular allergies.
We both had Combo Set C. This consisted of shoyu ramen, pork fried rice, and pork gyoza.
The ambiance was casual and relaxed. We walked in just after they opened, so there was no crowd. The greeter welcomed us warmly, presented us with a menu, and said that someone would be there to help us shortly. I asked about the ramen base and cooking oil, because of my shell fish and my son's peanut allergies. She assured us that they use a shoyu base, and would explain to the cooks about our allergy concerns. She was friendly, and helpful. We both appreciated that.
My son and I were already enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, and the quick, reassuring, pleasant service. When the food came we were delightfully surprised.
The scrumptious smell of the ramen filled the air as it was brought to our table. It was delectable to the eyes, as well as the olfactory senses. The gyoza, and fried rice came shortly afterward. All of our dishes were prepared promptly, and proficiently. The ramen was warm and savory. I normally don't like to finish the soup, because it has a tendency to be too salty. Not so with this sauce. It was perfect. My son commented that I inhaled, rather than discarded it, like I usually do. The fried rice was wonderful, an amalgamation of flavors brought together in an impeccable way. The gyoza effortlessly complimented this combo.
With great quality food, service, and ambiance, we will definitely be back here again, just as most of Kaneohe.”

I ordered Jasmine Milk Tea @ 50% sweet, and my partner got Lychee Green tea (they only have Lychee black tea on the menu, but they were able to swap to green with no issue).

My jasmine milk tea was lacking in flavor. But my partner's Lychee green tea was fantastic.

I'd rate my drink a 3*, as it was quite plain, but my partner's drink a 5*.

Leaving a 4* as a midpoint for our drinks, and also because I feel the boba could be improved - it was relatively quiet when I got there, so maybe it wasn't fresh, but that doesn't excuse anything.”

“First time coming to Saito and Pho. It was very quick to get seated. We also got our food within like 10-15 minutes. The chicken Katsu was nice and crispy and with the side order of curry was also good. The curry was not spicy but was also thick enough for it to work well with the Katsu. Overall, it kinda gave a nice mom and pop kinda restaurant where it felt like you just came back home.”

“Picked up party trays for a small New Year's celebration. The food was delicious and all our favorites: chicken katsu, gyoza, pork fried noodles, shabu beef curry. The curry can be messy in a tray but they double-wrapped it in foil to keep it from spilling. It is the best curry anywhere. Everyone at Sumo Ramen Kaneohe is always willing to do whatever it takes to make us happy. The prices are good too. They made our New Year special.”

What’s the catch? They close early — like, 3 PM early. And that’s honestly the only downside. It’s a bit of a heartbreak knowing something this incredible isn’t available for dinner. But if you can plan your day around it, you’ll be rewarded with a sushi experience that’s unforgettable.”

Don't let the mall location fool you this place is a sleeper and I'm glad it hasn't blown up like others who I'd say don't deserve it. Yes there's institutions like soons or dong yang but bang for your buck this place slaps harder than both. Despite the covid induced price increases this place still heaps the portions and continues to be arguably the best seasoned meat jun I've had no sauce aside. I'll always support this place and die on the hill it's a top 2/3 spot on island.”

Everything I have ordered from this restaurant so far has been great. What blows my mind is the amount of food they give. Very, very generous servings. The service is fast and always served with courtesy and patience. I’m a picky eater so I ask a lot of questions about the ingredients, they always patiently answer. You won’t be disappointed ENJOY!”

“In the center of Windward Mall Food Court stands Noods Ramen Bar. I've heard great things about this restaurant, so today we'll embark on another appetizing adventure.
The workers are cheerful, friendly, and knowledgeable about their products. They answer your questions in a warm, positive way.
We had dishes that had shoyu broth in one and pork based broth for the other.
As with any dining experience, you begin your adventure with your olfactory senses, then your vision, and finally your taste buds. With the cacophony of sights and sounds permeating through Windward Mall, it may take a different level of concentration to focus on one specific thing. Right away you catch the favorable fragrance, floating to you. My eyes were excited to see the picture of the simplistic, yet satisfying dish before me.
I had the Shoyu Ramen, and my son had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. The noodles were pleasantly robust. An excellently executed emulsion of flavors. Succulent, savory, satisfying. The broth was perfectly balanced. Not overtly salty, tempered to blend and compliment the other ingredients but not overshadow them as some broth has a tendency to do. The pork was cooked to perfection. It was soft and juicy, which added a subtle layer of unexpected flavor. The aji tamago, and menma completed the package exquisitely.
The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen had a pork bone broth, so it was very savory. My son said it was very good. The pork was simultaneously soft tender and juicy. It was easy to chew, not rubbery and overdone as is the tendency of other establishments. Broth was very tasty. Immediately spicy, with no wait for the after kick. It was neither too oily nor greasy, rather it served to enhance the already palatable flavor that hit just right. Noodles were good, absorbing, and distributing each emusified taste into a delectable, delightful dish.
They have an amazing amount of options on their vegan menu as well. Overall, it was a very positive, pleasant, culinary encounter. I highly recommend this as an enjoyable eating experience!”
