“So good! Driving up to the North Shore from the airport we wanted something local. Family owned. No frills just awesome chicken. So juicy. We all had sandwiches and the pulled chicken is more like chunks with some pulled. Not overly shredded. And not doused with sauce. Just a nice enhancement. We had the melts and they were delicious. The bread is crusty but soft inside. An easy bite. And my son loved his Cajun fries. Off street parking in the rear.”

“I’ve been wanting to go to this place for a while and was so happy that I finally did!Ganesh Dosa does not disappoint! They had so many different types of vegan crêpes or Dosa to choose from. I had one that was filled with potatoes and spices and it was so good and cooked to perfection. I also had a peanut butter and jelly cookie that was vegan and I was gonna say for dessert but it did not make it two minutes out of the parking lot. The place has a cute ambience if you wanna go for lunch with your friends or the orders are really quick and you can just pop in and order a dinner or meal and it’ll be ready in minutes so you can take it home. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, especially about vegans. They did have one item that would not be vegan, which would be real Nutella in a crêpe, but I asked if I brought some vegan type of Nutella in if that could be used instead and they said no problem. There’s also a really cute chocolate shop next door that sells vegan chocolate and a couple of vintage shops nearby that were closed but I would love to check out another day when they’re open. It’s a great location, great food, great service, and a great treat to have.”

“Everything I’ve eaten has been really good! I’m not afraid to try new things here (and there a lot!) because I’m never disappointed in the food. The parking lot is sometimes full but very convenient and free.

The service is hit or a miss though. There was a younger guy working the counter one day that was so welcoming and helpful. He was really up-selling the menu! Then there were some young women working that were very slow to stop their personal conversation, standoffish and sarcastic about my menu questions. I really don’t like going into a business and being treated like I’m inconveniencing the staff by being there. I hope next time I go in, that young man is working because he’s a vibe.”

The food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised that a high-quality salad bar was included with our order. We enjoyed a very satisfying and filling dinner. Highly recommended!”

He walked us through the multiple wine profiles, helping us explore the different flavors. We were impressed by both Lalo’s outstanding service and the unique flavors of the wines.

Choosing our favorites was not easy. Some of our favorites included the Pineapple, Boysenberry Lavender, Dubai Chocolate, and POG.We earned a 20% discount.

During our visit, we located the scavenger hunt item, making the experience even more memorable. It was a fun and unique family memory that we’ll cherish for years to come.

However, as of this review, I noticed that we were charged for 6 bottles instead of 5 bottles, due to the scavenger hunt. Hopefully we can get this corrected.

“I am a fan of Himalayan Kitchen in Kaimuki, and had lunch in Kailua at their restaurant today.

The food was GREAT! We had Samosas and Papadam to start - the papadam flavors were perfect and nice and crispy! The samosa were great and I especially loved the cilantro sauce.
We then had Lamb Madras, Saag Paneer and Beghan Barta, all were delicious.

My friend likes mild, and I like spicy so Jay, our server brought me a little dish of the BEST hot sauce!

Jay was attentive and really accommodating. I can't wait to eat there again soon!”

Update: changing my rating to 5 stars. Picked up my order. It was ready when I walked on. Still and friendly lady at the register. I've ordered Oyster Sauce Cake Noodle from here for decades. It was okay but not great. Its my favorite so I kept ordering it.

After several years of not going back, today I decided to try again.

Wow! It was totally different. Nice meaty pieces of chicken, lots of greens which is usual for every place ive ordered this. Good cake noodles though I prefer them to be a bit more cakey. And an affordable price.

I discovered peanuts in their Thai basil poke after I started eating it and sharing with my son who has a peanut allergy. We had to rush to get some allergy meds afterwards so be careful.”

“We keep coming back here for ramen takeout, and it’s earned a regular spot in the rotation. For a newer Kailua Town Center shop, the bowls are consistent, filling, and better than a lot of the “close enough” ramen you can grab on the Windward side.​

The broth is the reason we order it. You can tell they take the time to slow simmer it for a rich flavor. Tonkotsu comes out creamy and porky. Tan tan has that sesame heat you can bump up or down. Short rib ramen is the heavier option when we want something more substantial—beefy broth, tender meat, the usual toppings like egg, green onion, bamboo, and mushrooms. Portions are generous enough that leftovers are common.​

Noodles hold up better than expected for takeout. Spice levels on tan tan are customizable, which is useful if you’re ordering for more than one person. Combos with gyoza and kimchi are an easy add-on when you don’t want to think too hard.
