“I'll start by saying the steak appetiser is amazing, and the buffalo wings were apparently equally as good, however the service just isn't there.The girl working behind the bar was working 10 times harder than anybody else, she had to serve all the bar customers and all the dining customers too, take payments, bring out food, serve behind the bar.I made note of the fact that my food was cooled and waiting on the side to be served for a good 5 minutes before she had the time to come back out and walk it 8 steps to my table, while the rest of the kitchen staff were sat just outside the kitchen area laughing and joking.Now I understand that kitchen staff sometimes aren't responsible for serving food, but they were just standing there watching the bar girl run around helping everybody, yet there were trays of cutlery, dirty food trays and other kitchen items all over the eating surfaces along that walkway.If those kitchen staff really have that much time to spare, and really aren't allowed to help the girl behind the bar, then they could at least tidy up their own area and make it look like an eating area instead of a storage room.At first glance, that walkway between the bar and the eating area looked like the alleyway behind a restaurant in Mumbai.The food (as I mentioned) was great, beer was cold, vibe was nice around the bar, and I like to see happy smiling staff, but they really need to tidy up before they can stand around watching.“

“The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere, phenomenal. The people who work there, phenomenal. They are doing so much with what they got. I recommend getting the My Milkshake Shandy and the Pasta Alfredo with salmon.

Shout out to Sharron carrying the motivation of the whole bar on her back, absolutely killing it every night I’ve seen her. She’s quick being the only person working there and checks in when she isn’t pouring a drink with one hand and opening Heinekens with the other.

Rose is great at what she does and seems to really care about the vibes and feels and what would bring Marines in. She’s done so much to make Kahuna’s feel more like a bar since the reopening.

I don’t know much bout the servers cuz I’m always at the bar but I see them zipping around everywhere. They are also good people and are great at what they do!

Can’t forget about Sasha, she was there when it first reopened and she also contributed to me becoming a regular.

Overall, this place is amazing. I spend most nights there just to say hi to everyone. The people there are truly something special. I cannot wait for Karaoke on Monday again.

The only reason I rated it a 4 star is solely due to the fact comedy night was kinda a flop and to no fault of anyone who works there, just not a good turnout and the comedians that night were kinda a lil flat. Woulda liked to see more crowd work.

“I found Sala Thai one night after work. I love thai food, and this place is darn good. I've been here over half a dozen times in the past month and have tried many dishes, and each dish I loved. The pad thai, fried thai wings, drunken noodles, BEEF SALAD, spicy thai fried rice, red curry, salacurry, and more. . . All delicious. I love thai Hot, and they make it THAI HOT, which is awesome. My favorite thing about all the delicious food is customer service. Each time I go here, I get 5 ? service. If you're looking for a good hole in the wall place to eat, have a mixed drink or beer, or even shoot pool (one pool table), this is the place. Plus, they're open until 2am most nights.“

“I really enjoyed coming to this bar for drinks I had a whiskey sour and it was perfectly balanced. The bartender that served me was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately I did not eat the food since I had a full meal before although I've heard great things about how good it was. Next time I'm on island I will definitely try the food.“

Somehow our ticket was missed in the kitchen, and after we had waited nearly an hour for our food, our waitress came and told us what happened and that they were preparing our meal now. She was very apologetic and very professional. Then the head chef came out from the kitchen and personally apologized and told us we were getting a 25% discount for our extra long wait. The food was very good and we were quite full. But then, one more olive branch appeared in the form of a complimentary brownie/ice cream dessert!
