“Kalapawai is a go-to restaurant for my friends and I. In this particular visit my friend had an adverse reaction to a medication and we needed to leave abruptly. Allison our server was totally on top of her game, got our main courses boxed and handed to us in less than a minute. The food was excellent, the service was superb.“
“I met the family that ran this business in a festival and I absolutely love their food and what they’re striving. They use organic ingredients and are striving health conscious choices. We’ve had their cinnamon rolls, brownies and cookies and they all were delicious. I can’t recommend them enough.“

“Some of the best coffee / Cappuccino’s in Hawaii. The pastries are also great, with nice sitting areas in and out. Prices are fair for the island. Highly recommend it after watching the sun rise at Lanikai beach.“
“Went in asking what I should have for period cramps, and she instantly gave me some helpful options. she whipped me up some tea, and added some turmeric even though it wasn't in the recipe I chose because it would help with inflammation. She was friendly and the tea was soothing.“
“Delicious breads and treats and friendly and helpful employees. I don't know her name but one young lady helped make my day brighter after I had an awful encounter with an angry driver at the post office. A big MAHALO to her for her kindness!“
“Love this place! I love coming by with my toddler and chilling for a bit in the cute chairs outside. Great drinks and quick snacks. Kailua Coco(a) is a must try. The staff is really kind and always chats with my 4 year old and make him feel welcome.“

“My +1 & I went here twice; once while walking to Diamond Head and the morning before we had to leave Oahu. It is an amazing place for malasadas and not expensive or fancily crafted. Just good food. The chocolate banana French toast was amazing. Any of the French toast would surely all be good. The chocolate filled malasada was great but I personally loved the cinnamon non filled one. Small quiet little place worth checking out.“

“My family and I LOVE the matcha ice cream here! Super delicious and satisfying on any day in Hawaii nei! If you like matcha this is thee best place to go! Next time i plan to try the hojicha flavor ice cream, or float or tea... There's not many places to sit and eat here, but if it's not too crowded you can find a spot.“

“Such a cute little spot in Honolulu. They were very busy and still got our food out in a timely manner! Everything we got was delicious: the Goldie lox, Bogart’s breakfast, and pork adobo fried rice. The seating inside is a little cramped and there are only a few tables outside but the area is nice and quiet. Everyone working there was very nice and I would definitely come back!“

“Coffee cart quickly became part of our morning vacation routine after a walk and swim at the beach for sunrise. Staff were always smiling. Location was stellar and it was so cute!
Drinks were great, little on the pricey side as beverages were around $7-9.“

“Best shave ice we found on Oahu. We walked from the zoo end every night just for Lahaina shave ice. Made the mistake of trying a different place one night and quickly learned our lesson. Hands down the only place to go“

“Food was amazing I was looking for a bite more fresh and trying to stay somewhat true to a healthy menu while on my trip, it was delivered with full flavor and reasonably priced for the servings they provide. I wish I found this place sooner. They also cater and provided our meeting with coffee and fresh pastries. I will be coming back here the next time I’m in Hawaii. Thank you!“

“Great shaved ice experience right next to Waikiki beach. Came here multiple times and got to try most of the menu. The shaved ice bowls are incredible, as is the acai bowl. Worth it to add a Dole whip to your order for $1. Highly recommend as you come back from the beach!“

“Great Food with a European influence of France and Spain. Cozy atmosphere and the Chef ZZ is very talented with many years of experience. It’s a little hidden gem and has elevator parking for your car in the back of the building or you can park in the Walmart lot. I very much recommend this place.“

“4 stars for hospitality! Extremely caretaking and sweet owners 💕. Bless their sweet soul for still serving the community here!
The beef pho was not as flavorful as I wanted. It did not have the depth of salty umami I needed for pho broth and the beef.. well.. it had a funky taste so I avoided it entirely. I only ate the beef meatballs. I found myself wondering if the broth was just water and salt + pepper in a quick boil with some beef slices to give some flavor versus a rich beef broth simmered with bones. I really tasted the starch from the rice noodles in the broth, which tells me probably it was not cooked separately nor drained. 🙈“

“Our favorite place in Honolulu for coffee, island pastries and to just chill out with friends is Aloha Bakehouse & Cafe, Kaka'ako. 🤙🏼. This is how I picture a Hawaiian coffee shop, a cozy place to get coffee & island pastries and a 2nd floor to enjoy them. ☕️“

“The staff is friendly very attentive. Lots of options to choose from. I would not order the Asian dishes here like the Pad Thai or the curry (go to a Thai restaurant for that) if I were to do it again I would go for the specials at this restaurant like the Lamb Wellington. I would come back again, too bad it’s our last day here in paradise. I would recommend the lemon tart very good. The chocolate pyramid is nothing special, just mousse and chocolate cake. Listen to the waiters and their recommendations, they know what they’re talking about. Amazing place a for coffee and dessert.“

“A hidden jewel..We started with a peach bilini...The food is good- my favorite for lunch is the Curried Turkey salad. For dessert the fruit crisp is tasty..and the icecream topped with candied ginger bits always delightful. The staff is attentive and friendly. The garden cafe ambience is excellent.“

“This review is long due. Wanted to gatekeep this amazing cafe. It's actually inside Ala Moana Hotel, right before you get to the hotel gym. The cafe/bar was unassuming. I walked in for early breakfast. I was the only patron. Was greeted warmly and decided on Avacado Toast (dine in) and an Acai Bowl(to go)
Omg..the avacado toast was probably one of the best with the warm sourdough bread. It's the warm and cold, the crust that's crunchy with the avacado mush...it was flavorful and satisfying.
I bought the Acai Bowl for later and it was also beyond. The fruits are fresh and perfect match with the granola and honey. That combo made my day.“

“Delicious, healthy food that doesn’t leave you feeling oily or gross after. The owner even came out to chitchat in the morning and share about the food making process. They use less oil, no canola oil at all and fresh veggies overall.
My favorite sides were the lotus salad and the hijiki salad! Crunchy, lightly sweet, and packed with different ingredients.
Dijon chicken was super juicy and the Dijon mustard was perfect. There’s a bone!

“Small shop but such a friendly face to greet you. Absolutely was excited and happy to find a place that sells my favorite crepe cake with a wonderful tea line.
I got the rose latte and fell in love with how floral and soft everything was.
Plates that were served for the drinks and cake are absolutely beautiful.
Plus side is that they also sell Royce Chocolate!“
