“Super attentive staff in a cozy place. If the view of Diamond Head doesn't blow you away the food here will. Been a huge fan of this business but only been able to sample their foods at the Kakaoka farmer's market, first time at their store. Ordered a malasada and went with the mango filling which was the special of the day. They made it fresh. Was everything I hoped for. Warm flaky exterior with the sweet cream filling inside.“

“We tried the matcha vanilla swirl and the ube, and both were absolutely delicious. The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and the swirl itself was beautiful. It is definitely the kind of dessert that is as fun to look at as it is to eat.

After trying the ice cream, I am now curious to come back and try their regular matcha drinks as well. If their matcha flavor in the ice cream is any indication, I have high hopes.

One small note: be careful with the spoons! They were surprisingly sharp, so eat carefully or consider getting a cone instead.“

“The staff at Cafe Kaila are so warm and welcoming. They also have best breakfast whether you choose to eat an eggs Benedict or a banana bread French toast. Always fresh fruit there so pile it on everyone and just enjoy 😉“

“So yummy! We shared the Bogart’s famous loco moco & acai bowl.

We needed a nearby spot to grab breakfast and settled on this place after a quick search on Google Maps. Their acai bowl ended up being one of my favorites that I’ve ever had!

For reference, waiting in line from the entrance to the counter took 15-20min, and then waiting on the food took 15-20min.“

“Best shave ice we found on Oahu. We walked from the zoo end every night just for Lahaina shave ice. Made the mistake of trying a different place one night and quickly learned our lesson. Hands down the only place to go“

“This dessert shop was absolutely amazing! The location was easy to find, and they had such a great variety of menu items that we got to try several different desserts and had a wonderful time.
The young staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making it easy for us to choose what to order. My favorite items were definitely the ice cream, which was absolutely delicious, and the acai bowl, which was packed with fresh fruit and tasted so fresh.
We were still a little hungry, so we also ordered a waffle. It was perfectly sweet, generously topped, and incredibly delicious.
I’ll definitely be coming back with my friends. I highly recommend this place! ⭐“

“We had the 4 course meal and overall it was okay. We ordered khao soi separately and I was quite disappointed. The flavor is not authentic. The menu was diverse (Thai, Lao, French, etc.) but it’s really hard to nail so many cuisines. The price, portion size, and selection are great for a 4 course meal.“

Their pasta and salads were both really tasty, simple but satisfying enough for a casual lunch. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, a nice place to rest our feet after wandering through all the art exhibits. “Wow! Everything was 10/10. I love that they don’t use the normal torani or mornin syrup. I got a Iilikoi themed matcha and it was delicious. I also got a croissant sandwich that was really good. The sandwich was nicely cut in half (I hate biting into a whole sandwich) and had napkins at the bottom of the box. It’s the little things!!“

“I've visited Fusion when they were in Kaimuki and I'm so glad to see they have a new home inside Salon DADA! Malie is fantastic as always, and takes great care of people. The food is delicious (💯 recommend the empanadas and wagyu burger), and the drinks go great with the food!

“Food was pretty good. I got a Philly cheese steak, and it had plenty of cheese and peppers. Fries were serviceable, but nothing special. Service was a little chaotic, lining up to place orders and pick them up as they were completed, but it was made very quickly, so minimal wait. Inside is nice and cool, but maybe a bit noisy, to eat, while the outdoor patio has a nice breeze, shade, and great view of the water.“

The base black coffee is phenomenal which of course also made the cappuccino I tried delicious and the food was impressively tasty: I’m still talking about the grilled cheese a week later as well as the Portuguese bean soup and empanadas. I used to come here with my sister when she lived in Manoa, and the cafe was in a food truck in the Safeway parking lot. “Reliably good, reasonably priced (cold and hot) sandwiches, soups, and salads including leafy greens and pasta salads. Friendly and efficient service, too. The combos are a nice deal - I like getting a soup + salad or soup + sandwich. They also cater my office's meetings quite often; they can cater both breakfast (pastries and breakfast sandwiches, plus coffee) and lunch (mostly sandwiches for us). Some of my coworkers have said some of their catered sandwiches a bit boring after a while, so you may consider specifically requesting the types of sandwiches you prefer.“

“Super cute! Nice and clean place right in the center of the building. Had to take an early meeting and this was a nice and quiet space to zoom meet and grab a matcha afterwards. The barista was kind and friendly, there were multiple milk alternatives, and the atmosphere was inviting for those looking to do work. Would go back! It is in a shopping street vs. on the main road, so I would recommend for those already in town. There were lots of cute shops and cafes on the same shopping street as well!“
